I'm glad I haven't tried too hard chasing this cereal down. Coming from Kelloggs I had a feeling the claims on the box were going to be exaggerated a bit. Too bad, the idea of a mint/menthol aftertaste on a cereal had me intrigued as well.
Where the hell is the Mensch on a Bench cereal?! Do a jelly doughnut flavor with Hanukkah shaped pieces. Oat-based of course, none of that corn flour garbage.
Comedian George Wallace asked today why you can put ice cream in a waffle cone but you can't put waffles in an ice cream cone. It's definitely something to think about. Anyway, the most important thing to come out of this video is the canonical statement that Gabe knows Santa personally. I assume that's how he built his cereal box collection.
Those Elf on the Shelf cereals sure are cash cows when it comes to cereal. When I first saw that claim that the cereal cools your mouth down, I was thinking, "I didn't know my mouth needed to be cooled down in the first place.".
I haven’t and probably won’t. Not a huge fan of the “cereal alternatives”. I’m glad they exist for people with dietary restrictions. But they aren’t cereal (no grain) and they are awfully expensive.
Judging by the fact they’ve been making more generic flavors I would expect maybe a snickerdoodle (generic cinnamon) version rather than gingerbread, but I hope to be wrong!
I expected from the 'cooling sensation' claim that they would have used xylitol (or another so-called 'sugar alcohol'), hopefully not in amounts that would cause, uh, intestinal distress, to produce that effect. Maybe that was the plan, and somebody found out about the potential ass-blast effect in time for them to switch manufacturing strategy but not in time to come up with a different marketing spin? Maybe you're immune to xylitol? It's what gives many sugar-free gums and mints their cooling effect over and above what mint flavor contributes. We may never know...
@@CerealTimeTV I came across a text review from someone who said they noticed a slight cooling sensation, mostly when eating it _dry,_ but it was overpowered by an unpleasant chemical aftertaste... so I guess maybe you should be grateful you didn't perceive the one in case the other comes with it! I also found an ingredients list, and there are no 'sugar alcohols' listed. It could've been cool (pun intended) if they'd used xylitol, but considering the lack of self-control some people (such as me) have when it comes to portions, probably for the best in the end... (yes, pun intended again)
cool catch, HELLO, THERE CEREALHEADS, wow, keep that phrase, for your channel, you just invented a slogan for your cereal channel, yay, reward yourself with a cool cereal, i'm eating honey comb, cereal, miss the old taste, same old elf cereal, different box color, oh i wish, that i can buy or get cerealtime patches from you,......p.s. they just say that so you can buy the cereal and end up a jackass being fooled by the company, when they say cool in your mouth, on the front of the box, i found out about this kinda thing in 1980s, i got fooled by a lot of food products that says one thing and tasted another, that's why i get other food that don't claim anything, .....marius(punk rules).
I use almond milk. But even eating it dry didn’t really have an effect. You think regular milk would make the effect happen? Maybe, but I won’t go back and try again. Not tasty enough 🤣
I wonder if they're going to give it a new flavor every year. Maybe this is a testing ground for flavors they can use later on. They can fail without much consequence since the cereal is only around for a month anyway.
Very disappointed with the Christmas cereals over the past few years. The Halloween cereals were more exciting to me than all these mediocre Xmas cash grabs. And yes, I don’t think your ever going to see a gingerbread cereal anytime soon. Sorry Gabe 😢
Yeah, was a little underwhelmed as well. As you said, kind of a bland vanilla flavor. Also, with these Elf cereals that I've bought, the marshmallows are all at the bottom. I think maybe with this one, my brain kinda tricked my mouth into believing there was some sort of "Cooling effect" way off in the distance, but maybe it was just some weird aftertaste. I fully support your efforts for a Gingerbread cereal from these big companies some day. I did recently hear of a company called Three Wishes that has a gingerbread flavored cereal. I've never tried it or even seen it. I don't know if it's one if those more "healthy" or Keto type cereals- gluten free or whatever or if it's one of those order by mail cereals? Just something I saw pop up recently
Three Wishes is a grain free “cereal” (oxymoron) and made with chickpeas. It’s not great flavor-wise and kinda expensive. Hopefully one of the legit cereal companies puts out a gingerbread at some point
You don't need "Elf on a Shelf" to get your kids to behave. Just wrap up some small empty cardboard boxes in Christmas paper. Every time the kids act up, throw one of the "gifts" into the fireplace!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ⛄🎄🎅🎁 from Cereal Time 🥣
I hate elf on the shelf they’re so creepy

I legit LOL'd at Mensch on a Bench!
I love the Sugar Cookie one. It's one of the sweetest cerels ever!
Gingerbread-cereal lovers of the world unite!
Thanks for another great video.
Am I the only one who didn’t have a traditional elf on the shelf? My family’s elf on the shelf looks completely different, it’s more of a jester
Elf On A Shelf has a cereal? They'll make cereal out of anything now a days!
They always had a cereal
@@DHAdArchivez really? Is it an update?
I use to watch you all the time a few years ago. Glad ya still making videos
Kellogg’s betrayed us
What if they made a Snow and Heat miser cereal ?
That snow creme cereal looks delicious! 😋
It taste like frosty and an vanilla ice cream flavor!
Waiting for that day when all the gingerbread cereals drop at the same time!!
That would be a glorious day! Hopefully it’s Christmas 2023! 🤞

Aww, what a disappointment. The box looked good and it sounded like a fun concept.
Time to manifest a gingerbread cereal.🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
hello, maybe next year gingerbread oat frosted cornflakes, ELF, cereal just for you and us cusutomers,????????/......marius(punk rules).
Mmmmm Xmas Month cereal :D
I like spooky and xmas cereal tho ;)
Is my mouth broken? lol
Lets hope gabes predictions comes true for his own sake
Sugar plum cereal would be cool.
I wanted to ask you again where did you get your milk drop cereal bowl?
Google spilt milk bowl. I think it was Amazon
Have they made a Grinch cereal ?

Another great episode, have you reviewed and or tried the magic spoon cereal? Would like to get your thought on it and if its worth checking out

Love the logo.

False advertising! I hate that!

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if other people are feeling the cooling effects and I’m just broken 😔

Chocolate Star Cereal...
I wonder if anyone else notices this, but the joke's beneath me.
You're thinking of the not-so-elusive chocolate starfish, I suspect...

What kind of milk do you use while eating these cereals. If it is a flavored milk maybe it does something to the cereal.
I use almond milk. But even eating it dry didn’t really have an effect. You think regular milk would make the effect happen? Maybe, but I won’t go back and try again. Not tasty enough 🤣

The Ihop blueberry\maple cereal and hot wheels cereal look pretty cool. They both released in select locations and go national January.
I was waiting for GM to send them to me, but maybe I’ll go searching grocery stores

I did 😔

Do a video about honey pops or coco pops
Interesting idea poor execution. FALSE ADVERTISING
Just noticed the workers unite and Black Lives Matter thingies!!! It’s nice to see! Will miss the channel 🐈

Lol, I love this 🤣
Dude you should go to work for a major cereal producer and be a cereal brand designer, just point them to your vids for resume.
Lol, I have a real job. Don’t need another 🤣
