He’s one of the most interesting villains to me because he’s pretty much a little man who can wield a lot of power; more than even he can really handle. While he’s trying to puppeteer others, he’s desperately trying to free himself from the debts that control him. That dynamic is one you don’t see explored often, and definitely not in Disney films, and Kieth David’s performance SERIOUSLY sells everything this character is supposed to represent.

Yeah, she was pinned. That meant even after grabbing the pendant, she should have been incapable of moving, let alone breaking it.
Edit: Unless he let go of the cane because he was surprised by the pendant being grabbed. In which case, the cane wouldn't be in the shot, it would have vanished since he needs the power of the loa- His "friends from the other side" to conjure up the cane in the first place.
His death was a long time coming anyway. He threw his magic under the bus for money. The price to pay for arrogance is death.

His shadow is definitely supernatural. If you look closely at the wallpaper during the "are you ready" song, you'll see that any floral-pattern wallpaper the shadow covers turns to skull and crossbones. Besides that visual detail, his friends from the other side pull his shadow, not him, which pulls him along too into hell. His shadow also kicks Lawrence while Facilier himself is moving.

This is just my initial impression of this villain since this movie never got any popularity in my place for whatever reason. His demise is I swear the one of the most terrifying for a Disney villain. I mean this guy had it all for the perfect Disney villain: charisma, charm, an almost psychotic amount of ambition, a slightly relatable motive (him being jealous and resentful of the rich while being poor himself), with the added additions of an amazing villain song and powers. I mean his charisma and manipulative charm makes him come off as someone you could encounter in real life.
His demise is so terrifying as he was literally dragged to hell kicking, screaming, and begging

I’d honestly love to see more of this guy, after watching the movie recently i honestly feel that while he has a great presence and personality, that the movie kinda severely underutilizes him until the scenes leading up to his death, i Think he shows up for about a tenth of the movie’s runtime. So, to me at least, he’s great while he’s there and is interesting… He just doesn’t really do that much for a lot of the movie besides instigating the main problem and causing a few minor setbacks until he dies. Which doesn’t seem all that impressive to have on your resume as the main antagonist of a movie
