    The talk talk tv boxes are cheap on ebay if you need a freeview PVR 😃 no talk talk service required!

    My TalkTalk WiFi is super good and superfast customer service is good it only takes me half and hour to download a large game I definitely recommend this broadband so gooooood

    These outdated videos should be removed - TalkTalk are in the process of stopping mobile phones. Anyone on free sims might be surprised to know that the removal of the FREE sim that encouraged them to sign a contract will NOT entitle them to a reduction in payments - but they will be directed to where they have negotiated a supposed special deal where they can buy what was supposedly free.

    Open letter to Talktalk
    Dear Talktalk
    I am a disgruntled Talktalk customer who has tried to deal with Talktalk fairly but have been frustrated by your service at Talktalk. The problem came to a head when schools were in lockdown and lessons had to be delivered online. The slow Talktalk broadband made virtual learning and teaching frustrating and unproductive. I contacted your Talktalk agents, and patiently and asked Talktalk to attend to my issues. This was after I had been frustrated by the Talktalk online diagnostic feedback, the default Talktalk message , is to the tune of , “Talktalk have run a diagnostic and there is nothing wrong with the Talktalk service”, but the Talktalk service on my end would be showing a poor service. This has also been accompanied by instructions by the Talktalk agents to open the Talktalk internet box and deattach and reattach certain plugs. I have crawled under the TV on my stomach fighting to fit into the tightest of positions to carry out this process under these instruction from Talktalk agents. I did not complain to Talktalk then. There was a repeat of the same process on every call I made to Talktalk, but nothing improved. Talktalk box TV programmes are still buffering at every point.
    A Talktalk engineer was sent to attend to the problem. The Talktalk download speed was 12.4, which was clearly below the so-called guaranteed Talktalk speed of 13mbps . After the Talktalk engineer visit I received a bill with a £40, engineer charge included. After a call to Talktalk a promise was made by the Talktalk agent to refund the amount, but no apology was forthcoming from Talktalk, despite the clandestine move by Talktalk to try and charge me for Talktalk’s failure to provide an adequate service.
    The showstopper to this whole charade by Talktalk was the last call I made to Talktalk requesting a cancellation of the Talktalk service. The Talktalk engineer had set the download speeds at 23 mbps but the speed achieved was only 18.8 mbps, with the better service lasting only a day or two after the Talktalk engineer’s visit. By the end of the second week the Talktalk broadband speeds were back down, and the internet was slow again. A man in the Talktalk cancellation department was very unhelpful, arrogant and dismissive. Not to mention that the man from the Talktalk service cancellation department rudely cut the call while we were talking. There was no call back from the Talktalk agents to resolve the issue amicably. During the call, he insisted the Talktalk speeds were fine and a cancellation would need a month’s notice, which I understood , but the part where he said I had to pay fees for early cancellation did not sit well with me. It goes against Talktalk’s own promise and terms. The problem of the poor network lies at your feet, talktalk. My cancellation of the service is prompted by the Talktalk failure to provide an adequate service.
    In the last test carried out, the Talktalk agent tried to explain away the buffering as caused by a Chromecast device connected to a television. This device is off most of the time and now it has become the talktalk’s latest go to excuse. The complaints I made previously to Talktalk agents have been dismissed by the Talktalk agents who claim they could not assist me because, they can’t understand me on the phone because of my accent. This was rich coming from a Talktalk outsourced call centre agent. I find this very racist and lacking in self-awareness. The Talktalk agents making this claim are based in a Talktalk call centre in Durban, South Africa. My question is to Talktalk is , why Talktalk are outsourcing Talktalk customer services if Talktalk workers cannot help local Talktalk customers because they can’t understand what the Talktalk customers are saying and need to be sorted.
    The reality is that the Talktalk broadband cables in the area are copper and not fibre. To achieve decent speeds Talktalk need to offer higher speeds. Talktalk stop making promises you can’t keep. The so called Talktalk fast broad band has snail pace speeds and is not acceptable. Talktalk you are guilty of false advertising, which is a rip-off of your trusting Talktalk customers. A simple DLM reset by Talktalk would solve the problem, because after every complaint I make to Talktalk, the internet works fine for a few days before reverting to the old Talktalk sluggish speeds.
    Please Talktalk learn to provide Talktalk customers with the services Talktalk promise. Talktalk your agents’ behaviour is unprofessional and your Talktalk service is below standard. Why should Talktalk loyal customers fight to get a service they pay Talktalk for?

    Got my last bill from talk talk - £51-15 for package that started up as this -
    As for last couple of week my tv digi box has stuck

    I live in the M13 area of Manchester (next to the city centre)
    We left sky broadband because the internet was awful.
    Now we have switched over to talk talk, and it's even worse!
    I can't watch youtube videos in high quality, my wife can't go on instagram on her phone, my kids can't play online games!
    I've phoned them up and complained and they discourage you by keeping you waiting.
    They just want your money but don't want to provide a decent service.
    They've even sent out engineers to "fix" the problem but it is still so bad. DO NOT GET TALK TALK!!!!!

    Why so many reports of bad TalkTalk broadband? My internet works great, only about 5-10 ping, 80down and something like 40-50up. No problems apart from the bad customer service.

    why do people always complain about the customer service? customer service is not the problem but the provider itself customer service is just doing there job and stay pro in all scenerios the caller itself is the stupid because they are always asking for impossible thinga and in the first place they called first before doing anything and that means you don't really know what to do and you don't know anything it is that shameful? hahaha

      I actually feel sorry for many of the individuals on customer service - they are working under an hierarchy who should be locked up for fraud. They allow people to be given false information when agreeing to contracts then won't release people from the contracts without penalties.

      Customer service employees have my sympathy - they're usually at the other side of the world being paid a fraction of what the minimum wage is in the UK - whilst the fat cats of TalkTalk are paying themselves millions.
