I wasn’t a fan of The Man from Uncle. Thought it was bland. I am however looking forward to this movie. Appears to be a SLICK ride with a pretty cast. Something to accompany a beer and popcorn while turning off my brain. Cheers
I don’t think so… This reminds me of when I met Sam Rockwell with a friend. She didn’t believe it was him so I asked him. Of course it was. The only difference was that he hadn’t shaved for a month 😂 she insisted that he looked nothing like himself (he did, that’s how I spotted him). I think some people just aren’t as good with recognizing faces…
Could y’all please review La Chimera I’m surprised I haven’t a decent review for this film yet. It stars josh o Connor whose also in the new zendaya movie ❤
She did laugh and said "Oh the dirty jews, they're so nasty" or something to that effect, which kind of put a pointer on her supp hatred of Jewish ppl..but I agree they played her up n was clearly mis casted imo too
Sounds like they got a crew that were also good looking, just like *Lift* (with Kevin Hart) But this one was in your description "slick" had me thinking you meant the production, but, if it's both, fine😉☺
Think Henry cavill is tremendously vibrant and funny on screen if allowed to be, and think Guy Ritchie allows him to be. He is also excellent in Man From Uncle (also love him in Witcher, Man of Steel, Mission Impossible Fallout)
Just curious because this is the second time I've seen it referenced that the cast doesn't resemble the real people and I have to ask - does it really matter? For the most part, I guess with the exception of Churchill, these people weren't famous and most people wouldn't know what they look like anyway. I mean, if your character is the Queen of England, ok - you should make the effort to get an actress that at least resembles her and can mimic her mannerisms, she's well known to the world. But these guys? Why does it matter?
Richie is great at creating proto-British gangster storytelling. His Netflix show The Gentleman is phenomenal. But i feel like this film is definitely leaning into the fantacism of being too commercial. Loved the cast though.
Hey Gents! Thanks for posting this review, I still have to check this out... sounds fun! Any chance that you will be reviewing "Spy x Family Code: White"? I saw it w/my friend on Saturday and REALLY enjoyed it, much more than I expected! 😮🎉
I am going to watch I feel like I'm in for some shenanigans and bulls__t with Guy. ...and I'm here for the nonsense 😂😂 Snatch is in my top picks and I am not ashamed..it was a good drunk story lol.
@@issabradshaw2877 Also, it seems to always be a certain brand of white dude that seems to fetishise it too....(there's an entire genre called 'Nazi exploitation' films, and if you want to be saddened you can look it up on Wiki). So while it seems to condemn Nazis, certain types of dudes sure seem to enjoy putting them and the trauma of them onscreen....I side eye all of it. (Love Fish Jelly reviews tho!)
I'm with Nick on this one...I cannot stand when roles are mis-cast, drives me bonkers and is so distracting that I cannot stay immersed in the subject. My husband...doesn't bother him nearly as much. However, I'm with Joseph in that the cast is just a little too attractive, also distracting. Did like Lock Stock, RocknRolla and Snatch, though.
✨ I've decided Fish Jelly means caviar.
Your channel is now exquisite.✨
Awe that’s cute 😊❤🥰
this is what my friends and i call a "cool guys doing cool stuff" movie
Same "this very serious business we're making cutesy "... I still haven't watched the Rabbit movie with Dancing Hitler-Imaginary-Childhood-Playmate?
Nice background pic. 😁
The title reminded me of "The league of extraordinary gentlemen".
Joseph, Henry's hair was back..Argyle movie hair stole Henry's soul. 😂
I feel like a lot of Guy Ritchie's movies are more style over substance. I guess that's why I've never been a huge fan!
Absolutely agree!
The Gentleman was probably his best mix of those qualities
Zero substance, and corny style=Guy Ritchie
Even his earlier classics?
What is this screenshot behind you!!???😂😂😂
Henry acting a fool 😂
Anders Lassen VC was Danish. He was the only non-British commonwealth soldier to win the VC. In that particular instance it was posthumous.
As usual lovely humans another intelligent review from my two faves! Thanks again!! 😊❤

Henry Cavill looks so much different with a full beard. I would not have even recognized him! He looks like a completely different person.
I suppose if you’re blind

I liked La Chimera as it went along. I had a hard time getting into it

I see Guy Ritchie loves to use the work Gentlemen in his titles lol
Awe, missed the live. J+R.

Will you be reviewing boy kills world?

We're not planning on watching it for a video review. It might make a good Patreon selection.
Love the mixed up files of Mrs basil e frankweiler 🥰
Did you say Engle-land? Lol!
Loved the movie. Far better than Argylle.

Cant wait to c strong men on screen again its about time
'Slick and sexy' and 'nazi' should never be together in the same sentence, imo.
I agree I found that highly strange. Love these guys though

Guy is hit & miss for me. RocknRolla is probably my favorite due to Tom Hardy's performance. Thank you guys!
Inglorious Bastards lite??

Can you review Joyland? I'd love to hear both of your takes on it. I loved it and highly recommend it. Love your reviews!
Felt like this started fun and then got really bogged down. ... Bummer
#yes⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rogue warriors is much better. Love GR but this ain’t a very good movie. It’s ok.
Nobody think that this is just an Inglourious bastards rip off?
It’s fine. We need more dudeflicks like this in the era of girlboss
@@sebthelobster this response, I can tell you haven’t seen the movie
Far from it. It looks like Inglorious Basterds, but it's based on a true story.
