Armstrong was before Prima, and that ain't even the oroginal version, dummie.
But Prima was the definitive version of this song. Roth and Alex are copying his version. Alex is still great though. But before Prima, it was an amalgamation of two songs that singers tried to put together - Louise Prima pulled it off. If non-electric music doesn't scare you - look at some of Prima stuff - he could have been Alex or vv. Disney got him to do King of the Swingers, and he also wrote Sing, Sing, Sing - if there is a better "drum beat " song - please tell me :)
