@@HailSchmitler-wz1wkyeah this is real heaviness not some of the phony heavy that exists nowadays (lots of volume, too much distortion and low frequencies, but lousy riffs, no dynamics, nothing interesting going on and no real emotional connection.
As Sensational Alex Harvey Band they were very big (at least in UK/Europe, but less known in America) and have become true rock legends. Influenced a lot of other big bands-Harvey was punk rock before such a thing existed and Bon Scott was practically an Alex Harvey clone. Zal’s use of make-up likely inspired others to adopt similarly wild stage personas (KISS?).
amazing band, superb song... tear gas and alex harvey knew how to rock.. now, the band corrosion of conformity STOLE the main riff for a song of theirs called 'señor limpio', off the deliverance album (1994). please check that out, people... corrosion can rock, but this rocks harder, of course, as it happens almost all of the time with bands that created stuff during the 70s!!
Yeah, wow, you totally hit the name on the head there! This sounds like Rage Against the Machine big time (or vice versa) and Bon Scott definitely seemed to owe something to Alex Harvey (as did a lot of frontmen). Amazing stuff here.
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
For 1971 this is as heavy as it gets. Superb drumming. Out of this world riff.
Definitely fabulous
Bro for 2023 this is as heavy as it gets.

Never heard this version fkn brilliant
This is Alex Harvey on vocals
the Sensational Alex Harvey band by any other name!
Yep
Впервые слушаю. Очень похожий стиль на Грэнд Фанк. Особенно ритм секция. Впечатляет.
AWESOME DRUMMER!!!!! CHEERS BUDDY 🥃
Holy S---t... Where has this been? Now this is the stuff. Tear Gas was definitive Proto-Metal along with Sabbath.
i keep coming back to this. this song really is just timeless and stupid and amazing.
What a great find.
that bass...
St.Anthony was a travelling' man ...
This is badass!
I believe Alex Harvey joined the band in 1973 and was when they changed their name to The SAHB.
Wow! Total Rock Out!!! Thanks
It reminds me one of Budgie song..:)
Me too...right from the start..
that's it man! heavy duty rock

Cheers for upload subbed and liked
St Antony ushers in the era of hard rock.
Love it !
Fantastic tune.
Awesome rock...........

Yup. Tear Gas s/t. I liked this tune the best.
sticky riff right here.. what a killer.
tear gas 1971 disco olvidado de rock gran banda escocesa
Alex Harvey's backing group, and the singer sounds like Alex
If you listen carefully it's predicting Breadfan.
Totally driller killer ace! These Glasgow rockers should of made it bigger! :o)

Brill! 😄
This riff.
yeah you're right! i put it wrong!
That’s Alex singing
Vambo Rool
This Killer is a CD-bonustrack post Teargas w SAHB (Alex Harvey) not Hugh Mckenna.
Harvey's voice is unmistakable
Sounds like SAHB live
Basically it is SHAB
Who came up first with that gigantic riff, Stone the Crows ("Raining in Your Heart") or Tear Gas/TSAHB?
Sounds like a Guns and rose's riff. Way ahead of their times 👍
What ? Dont insult them ! Guns' n Roses ?
@@Mescalito27 I know right?!
1970 not 1971 their 2nd album was from 71
isn't the name spelled wrong? Shouldn't it be "Tear Gas" not Tear Gax?

If BonScott joined Rage against the machine...youd get this. Wow Way ahead of its time if it was released in 71

This would be a SAHB song, wouldn’t it? Alex Harvey only agreed to be in the band with the name change.
What I was thinking too. Didn’t think they ever performed as Tear Gas with Harvey on vocals.
It’s almost like you want to tell them to rock less to give other bands a chance
