- We head out to sunny California to check out the Chisel Machining facility and get a tour of how they make their amazing lever action gun parts for the Marlin and Henry lever actions. Chad shows us their process and what is coming down the pipeline with new parts that will be available soon!

A year after seeing this, just bought my first lever gun. Come to find out I work right down the street from this amazing company. I can't wait to fit my new rifle with some locally made vet products. They weren't kidding when they said sunny CA up here in the valley.
Thats awesome! Chad and Jason are good people!
@@KICK-EEZ I have heard nothing but the best about the @KICK-EEZ pads. They got a lot of praise at shot show this year, great combo. Now if only someone carried Chisel products locally.
I can't wait to see that handguard for the Henry Model X!
Same!!! We have a few Henry X we are waiting to put them on.
Everyone always saying how expensive firearms are, but I think the shelf prices are really amazing if you see what all goes into manufacturing them. Those machines may run automatically, but at a huge cost.
That machine costs more than my house. What an absolute marvel.
I know who I'm spending my money with. I love the walks thru the machine shop. That 5th axis rotary table is very nice.
Thank you!
lol yal making stocks faster than henry could make their rifles... been trying to get my hands on a big boy x 357mag... so hard to find
It’s been tough for everyone to get any lever that isn’t a 22
Just got one and it's very well made!
One thing I would like to know is , can the cheek pad be set up on the opposite side for the south paws
yes!
Nobody cares about us😢
@@tybotti I have to shoot lefty because my right eye can't really pickup iron sights any more and my left eye is my strong eye.
@@sirfrydryk360 Good man! Don’t stop shooting because you’re eyesight is going, just switch to the other eye! Now you are the kind of guy I would want to find in a foxhole next to me! Lol! I wish you all the best bro! And many more happy years of enjoying shooting! ✌️
@@TheGoldenBear79 facts lol my dads the same way. Ex cop who lost his right eye in a construction accident. He was already an excellent pistol shot and trained alot so was stuck in his ways. He still to this day shoots pistols right handed but with his left eye looking down the sight so he just had to modify his stance or sighting method. Now rifles and shotguns I remember him shooting left handed yet switching right handed to chamber the next round then back to left hand….must have been a bitch. The AR trend has made him one of the happiest men ever with all the ambi controls and such plus he’s a huge fan and customer of who is it?, Stag arms, I believe who has a left handed owner and was the first to make true left handed ARs. He has some right handed with ambi controls but he loves his left handed stags!! Nfs what I’ll do with those if I get them in the will 😂🤷♂️ guess pull them out occasionally and try to shoot them and think of him cause I sure won’t be very good with them. Would definitely make me think more about what a shooter with an injury goes thru to reteach themselves and to change muscle memory must really by tough!
Saw this and bought one. Thanks
Those are badass!!!! Can’t wait to get a few
i just ordered me a fore end anda long quiver from chisel. cant wait tog et it! and of course once i get the money im buying this badass stock......ohhh weeee
Enjoy!
Wish they would do one for Winchester 94
Awesome machine shop you guys got there. I like the setup. I have similar aspirations. Keep crushing it.
What about a stock for a Rossi 92 .357? Or do you know where the synthetic stock, MLOK hand guard and pictany rail w/ rear sight for a .357 Rossi Citadel are available from?
I don’t think they offer that yet
OUTSTANDING! Thank You Chisel Machine!!
Glad they're working with Midwest Industries they make good products...If you're gonna do an 870 stock you gotta make a 590 stock
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!!
What about the Marlin "Bullseye" on the Marlin stock (Red for the Ruger or Black for the Marlin)?
Incredible work. Hopefully we can see it and buy it in Europe!! I am sure there will be many buyers and I include myself ……But ………this is just a dream???
Momentan ist einer auf egun zu haben.
Please make one for the Henry H001 22mag and 22lr.
@KICK-EEZ, what specific recoil pads fit these Chisel stocks, it wasn't mentioned in the video? The OEM recoil pad and LOP is unnecessarily long for me, and on a .357 I'm not going to need much recoil absorption. What pre fit pad size fits these?
On the "Legacy" Chisel stocks any of our Medium / "02" pads will fit. It you want something thin we have an All Purpose pad that is 1/2" (302-5-M-B).. If you happen to have the new Chisel stock it takes our KZ-TAC1 which also come in 1/2"
@KICK-EEZ wow, thank you for the super fast reply! I have a Henry Model X in .357 that's going to get an aftermarket stock right away because the factory one is a touch too long for me, and definitely too long for the rest of the family. Been a tight race between the Chisel and the Ranger Point. Both look very well made, but the design of the Chisel is more what I'm looking for, and they've been the only one I've been able to find hard LOP measurements for online. When I'm ready to buy I might shoot an email to Chisel and see if I can get it from them straight away with the thinner pad, since I'll have no use for the thicker one shown.
Again, I appreciate the prompt feedback!
@@d3ltaohniner261 The Chisel is a great stock! Good luck and have fun with the modifications.
Amazing!♥️🦅
What is the overall length of the handguard? It doesn't specify on Chisel's website.
Really loving all the adjustability in these stocks. I like my classic wood furniture lever gun, but the more I'm seeing of these modern versions, the more I'm thinking I need to add one to my collection.
That's something you'd have to reach out to them about, we aren't entirely sure on that. Don't want to give you wrong advice.
Can you switch the cheek rest to the other side for us that have to shoot lefty? And will those cool shell holders work on the other side too??
Yes
Are y'all gonna do a stock for the Winchester model 94?
We don’t build stocks, you’d have to ask Chisel but I doubt they are
Really would be awesome if yall would make these stocks for the henry .22 and .17 hmr definitely would get both. hell even the rossi lever action, dont leave out the plinker tacticals
I'm sure as they grow as a company, Chisel will have a full suite of stocks. That does sound awesome though!
Nice! Hurry 870
Looks great... that price point tho. Lemme know when you're running a sale
You get what you pay for and you just saw how much goes into these. Definitely worth the price
@@KICK-EEZ true... he pushed two buttons, closed the door and walked away
@@RamAlambaDingDong keep in mind the power bill and machines at least 500k plus to do this. I dont give much credence to cnc file as its negligible in cost. Time to produce also adds to staff expenses to run equipment. Don’t know price, but no more than $300. Your already paying 1100-2000 dollars for one of these at least. If the accessories are more than 1/3-1/2 the cost of the gun. Reconsider your plan, quality long range scopes are an exception and never should be sold with the rifle if you sell it off.
Attach a spring or shock to the shoulder pad ?
Look up Graco..the Gracoil is designed like that and we will be showing a short film we did with them, on Xmas eve
do you guys make one to the Rossi r92 and ship to Canada
I believe we do but you want to ask the sales team. give them a call or email team@kickeezproducts.com or search "Rossi r92" in the search tab on our website and it will direct you to the pad if we have it labeled as a direct fit. If not, our grind to fit series should definitely have one.
A side folding hinge on these stocks would be badass.
hahah yes
They'll figure it out!
A question is your company capable of making a stock for a enfield 303
12:39 Preach it brother.
would love to see a folding version of this stock available.
hmmmm.... (🤔 Calls Chisel...)
@@KICK-EEZ just sayin’, if we’re going tactical we go FULL tactical.
@@RyanCowley_ nods and all.. haha :)
So I got this for my 44 big boy henry x and it’s not compatible anyone know what route I need to take to be able to run with it
Rogelio, Reach out to Chisel at (info@chiselmachining.com) with some pictures they should be able to help.
When is someone going to do one for the Browning BLR?
Not sure but I bet in time, we'll see Chisel make something. Has to be enough demand for them.
Like to see it in Remington 870
Have they got a tactical muzzle-loader, too?
Gday mate. Are you blokes sending these to Australia
You'll have to ask Chisel on that. I do believe they have a company doing international shipping for them.
can they do it in 16 1/2 inch pull?
I love the Chisel Machining one more than other options, but $400? Can't really do that.
the materials used aren't cheap and you know in this industry, you get what you pay for.
If they had the market demand to make enough volume to offset production cost, or cut other corners, it would cost less.
But if you want high quality production like this, it costs, no getting around that.
the tactical shoots better rounds than non tactical?
We think so!
Will marlin enterchang with rossi r92
I don’t think so, you’d have to ask Chisel
Will any of these work on a citadel levtac 92? Thanks
Casey, I dont believe so, but reach out to Chisel at info@chiselmachining.com
Those are probably ok on somthing like a 30 30 anything that recoils hard. Not so much
We do .50 cal :)
No, you cannot Cerakote over anodizing. Cerakote’s application instruction specifically specifies bare metal.
yes you can, it sticks better then bare metal too
@@pacman10182 not according to Cerakote. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had Krylon last plenty long and well beyond manufacturer’s expectations. But until Cerakote says so it’s best not to contradict the manufacturers stated application instruction.
@@charleshetrick3152 did they say that explicitly?
@@pacman10182 page five of the H-Series & Elite Coatings training manual in their website. I tried to link it but UA-cam keeps deleting any links that I post.
The dude at Chisel said their anodized finish is a great base for Ceracote, so maybe not all anodized finishes are the same.
Anybody working on a lever action bullpup?
Is there a version for lefties too?
You can switch everything over
How much do they weigh?🤔
@@2GUNMASTER not much but that’s a solid question for chisel
Good thing he us not in New York, all those aluminum blocks would be considered pistols! 🤔
Hope they plan to move their manufacturing to greater Idaho, cause of the clown-world California has become. Beautiful work!
QD mount…. “Cutie Mount”
L'adresse pour commander svp❤

Nice product but $450 for 45-70 stock ,jeez!
As you can see, a lot goes into them and after seeing them in person and in action, we get why they are that much! You get what you pay for in this industry
I could work there, they could pay me with lever actions.
I just don't know if it's possible to make a " tactical lever action " that isn't ugly.
Make it out of plastic!
@@swiftaudi lol sure, pal
Blasphemy
I get sick of repeating the last time a lever action anything was tactical was 1890.
Nonsense. For those people trapped in states with sh!tty demorat laws this is likely their best option. Not everyone has the option of moving. Being able to outfit older platform with modern sights and lights? Great idea.
@@robertthomas2942 A light and cool looks a tactical rifle does not make. Rofl. Your own statement makes my argument for me.
No one cares what people did in 1890... times change...this is 2022 dude
Horse shit! Just like somebody saying these are worth the price... you can leave your shifty state if you want it bad enough. You just butcher about the hellhole you live in, you do NOTHING TO CHANGE IT, OR LEAVE IT. you can Leave it if you want, of course it means you can't buy 1000.00 cell phone, and brand new cars.
And making your 94 lever action tactile is bullshit too. Invest in a good sight, and ammunition.
Way over priced and won’t work with traditional iron sights.
We wouldn’t suggest buying one then lol
