you better hurry up that fearless gear review, I wanna hear how bad it really sounds and hear your description à la fried assholes the way you do that! :D
Hey Glenn, are you going to mic the amp when you do this test? Most kids in learning in their bedroom won't use a mic but in a live situation a mic would be needed.
there has been more hype about your review of the line 6 spider V than there has been of the presidential election and the new star wars movies combined.
Well, the other day I tried an Spider IV 75W on a store and I've got to say that for the price, it sound pretty fucking mental. Of course, almost any Valve amp laughs at him (I guess there must be some cheap ass ones that suck, but anything decent will sound better). It is what it is, a practice amp for begginers. Old Spiders might have been shitty, but to be honest, newer ones are pretty decent considering your're paying 200 bucks for it.
Man am I ever thankful to find an unbiased and honest review of this amp!!! I've been on the fences about buying a 60 watt version for a while, but your feedback gives me a bit more to think about. Thanks!
Haha yeah that was the one I heard and though oh, now that's different! This would be cool as a pedal tbh if it allowed connection to the app and PC at the same time (or hey, just develop the same editor for PC and do it ON your PC).
nah fluff was professional about and he seems like a guy who they will want constrictive criticism from. what happens is that most comments from this amp line seem like if they are typed by kids. I know grown ups are commenting but it's hard for line six, to take comments that look like they are from kids.
Angel Santos I completely agree that Fluff was professional in this demo/review, which is why I added "compared to his normal videos" at the end of my comment. He almost never gives negative criticisms to the extent that he did in this video, hence the hyperbolic term "savage". Fluff still managed to maintain a balanced view but did not hold back on the negatives.
The fucker smoked out my buddy's (all ready smoked out) basement. Chucked it out side and it burnt to the ground... pretty damn funny to think about now but I was pissed.
Bought a spider 100 mkIII as a backup/small jam sessions head. Around the 5th time using it the head went up in smoke. haha! Still, my pod hd floor unit was basically free and sounds decent just for simple recordings and practice.
Could they not have made a desktop version of the companion app? Seems like that could vastly improve the usefulness of the amp. I don't know, maybe that's in the pipeline?
I use a MKII Spider Valve head, which has a really useful desktop app for dialling in or saving and uploading tones, it's excellent. Can't believe they're not doing that any more! Still not going to buy any more Line 6 stuff unless it's a Helix or something.
I made a huge leap of faith this last month. I sold every pedal and amp I owned, then went the other direction. I got the Line 6 Amplifi 150 with the Shortboard MKII floor controller. Downloaded the Amplifi app to my phone, and that was that. I absolutely love it. The coolest thing is to play a jam track with the app. When it loads it, it scans the song and recommends a shitload of custom made patches from the Line 6 site by other users, who are so fucking talented. Or go your own route. Also, the speakers system on this thing is next level shit. A 12" Celestion with two six inch midrange and two tweeters. You have never heard chorus or delay effects so well done until you hear them trhough this thing. Awesome. I know this is about the Spyder, but they are kinda the same thing.
Come on guys, he told us how the cab sounds, how the head sounds, the sound was quite thin even when it was recorded direct and was a little EQ'd because there were some high noises. (seriously, only a couple of high frequencies were put down). This should give you a good idea of what the line 6 V can do, no?
Thank you for being honest and pointing out real flaws in this amp. This happens when you aren't trying to sell to customer so you aren't biased. Ive got a Zoom G5 and so far nothing new can touch it. (Helix maybe but it has no drum machine for practice).
but fluff you have to think about their target audience: How many beginner guitarist have a sweet recording rig and studio quality monitors? I know I didn't, and the app is cool as it is! These amps gets a lot of bad talk at it which I think isn't quite deserved. These amps are not targeted at the seasoned veteran or meant to be a staple in every studio. They're meant for your starters who don't know what certain tones do and what certain amps sound like. These amps sound good to your beginners and will keep them interested. Also the app integration is cool and so is the porting idea!
Most people have a pc or mac that can run a daw and reaper is super cheap, i thought the amp tones sounded pretty good, as they usually do in the case of direct (I use and love pod farm 2) but the clunky interface would annoy me too, and without a easy way to edit sounds with a program on the pc or mac does seem like a huge miss, but to be fair they can fix that
look if they sold it as amp head or gave me the choice to connect to a different speaker with ease plus the bluetooth i would have bought it yesterday. i feel if they launch a revisit next year they are probably going to get it right. also it has the same speaker size as my line 6 spider 4 15 watt amp... what the actual fuck. i know the amp is a lot better than mine but this is stupid. they are literally some connectivity away for the living room guitarist wet dream and weekend warriors ultimate gig set. i am no professional guitarist and i was pumped for this amp. now i am just whatever. i can get their amplifi pedal board and some monitor speaker in the same prize as the spider v v60 which make v60 pointless... and therefore spider v v30 useless. only good thing about v 60 is wireless connectivity on board
+Allen Harrison except they dont teach you what certain tones do or what amps sound like. They teach you how to hop through presets that are so off from any real amp that you cant learn anything from it or why it sounds the way it does. Most of the time you end up being stuck on one preset just because it sounds less crappy than the others and your still upset because it still sounds bad and you dont know why and tweaking the knobs wont save you either. This can be one of the most discouraging things for a beginner. The first lesson a beginner should learn is that no one piece of gear can do everything, and you get what you pay for. Sadly a ton of people learn this from buying a spider. Line 6 gets bashed because they market the spider as this great amp that does everything and is super cheap, to beginners, because only naive beginners could fall for that logic. Not attacking you or anything, just explaining things specific to my experiences using them when i was a beginner.
I own one and while it’s by no means the best it’s fun to practice with and it has a lot of tones to play with. Not my best guitar related purchase but I’m happy with it
I've always loved and used line 6. I don't understand the line 6 hate. Every artist uses line 6 or modulation of some kind live or during recording..... It's an all in one amp with the power of sounding like any amp or style you'd like at a click of a dial? What's not to love? You don't even need an annoying pedal setup to use some simple effects... I'd say it's great and cheap for on the go
no its not, you can have the greatest amp in the world, and if you use apple headphones, you will only get Apple Headphone quality audio out of it. Make sense?
Andy Bradford you're an idiot. I'm pretty sure you're still hearing the amp through the headphones. The headphones aren't creating the distortion/tone itself. You're still hearing the amp.
Peekadam Yeah, that's what I was getting at. You're still hearing the amp, it's not like the headphones are giving you the tone. Yeah, granted it helps, but it's still the amp you're getting your sound from.
i used to care so much for tone that i forgot to listen to the music. now i dont give a shit about tone unless its unbearable. but i accept what it is, i see so many people saying "i cant listen to this the tone sucks!" those people are listening to tone not music. and i guess for the black metal fans line 6 is perfect lol
I think it sounds really great. Getting my 9 year old brother one of these. I personally use $3000.00 worth of guitar equipment, but this sounds great for what he's gonna do. Plus with all the efx options, he'll be lost for hours, learning what all the features do. Glad they make this in a 30watt version, I dunno if my parents could handle a 9 year old, with a 230 decibel amp.
I would love to see people do a "retro" type review on the line 6 Flextone 1/2 Head, Not the combo. I think that head is something people should know about. People crap on line 6 products but that amp head is something that should be in peoples minds when it comes to line 6 and they go for about 200ish used now. so amazing value.
Thank You so much for this review! I went into Guitar Center and had my choices narrowed down to the Line 6 Spider V 60 and the Vox VT40x and they offered me 20% off on the Line 6. Thankfully they couldn't find the manual for the only one they had in the store. So I ordered it. After seeing your review I quickly called and canceled my order. Thank You for saving me from getting a terrible amp. No Bluetooth for the App, Really???
I went into Line 6 as a tester for these... Had a lot of the same confused thoughts on what they were thinking when making these, and it seems like they didn't take any suggestions from the testers. Great vid as always Fluff!

Best version of the Spider so far, and as long as you do not turn on the internal overdrive pedals the sound is really okay, i really recommend using real overdrives to boost the amp instead they simply add so much fizz and make the sound undynamic ... so... yeah still not as good as a tube amp but usable... and i mean, if meshuggah can tour with a pod and later with a vetta nobody should feel that the lack of tubes holds you back to make good music
This an awesome review got mine for 115 since my old amp fading out losing connection either via bluetooth or wired this sounds hella awesome cant wait to play bullet for my valatine
You honestly gave it a fair chance which is so admirable, and I definitely agree with the speaker's needing to be a little bit more beefy, they made a lot of steps forward with other elements of it but then they forgot to do some pretty basic things for the functionality which make it like a B or C plus as opposed to the A that it could have been (in this price range). I sincerely hope that line 6 is checking out the reviews - improve on the design for either the next round of them or to at least upgrade the software elements
I've been doing a lot more studio playing lately, primarily for my own UA-cam channel. I've been thinking about grabbing one of these new Line 6 Spider V's just as something else to goof around with. I think you've changed my mind. I'm actually surprised to hear that Line 6 dropped the ball on a few of these things, especially nowadays since they got bought out by Yamaha a few years ago, and I think Yamaha make nothing BUT great gear. Great job as always, and thanks for the demo!
elle est bien cette démo! elle démontre bien les produits line6 qui reste dans leur continuité a nous proposer des produits flat' compresser avec un énorme manque de dynamique
Line6 lost my business when I had an issue with a POD and their support told me to toss it and go buy a new one rather than help with the problem. No more money from me. EVER.
I own a Fender Mustang III amp which is a similar modelling amp, and it sounds much better than this one, and it's slightly more expensive. It doesn't have mobile app support though, but you can plug it into your computer and actually record and dial tones (from your computer). If you're looking for a modelling amp, I'd rather choose that one.
That's kinda funny that I found it... Pretty good Oo... No seriously, for a beginner that's a really cool amp with nice features ! I really don't understand why all of you guys are bashing this amp, obviously it's not as cool as a pod or a Fractal but hey ! It's for beginners, or for practicing, and it works god damn well :).
We have the V60 for my son. I have a love hate relationship with it. More often than not I'm the one who sets the tone for him. We have had it 18 months now. Neither of us knew anything when we got it for him. He has gone from playing "Mary had a little lamb" at (11) and now at twelve he has been invited to play on stage in a big gig this weekend. Anyway it's been a steep and exciting learning curve for us both. This weekend I was ready to throw it out and go buy a Tube amp. However it forced me to sit down with it and dial it in properly. Bugger me it sounds good. Forget the preset sounds most of them are total crap! You have got to use the APP on the phone or whatever and dial it in from there. I started from scratch and dialed up 4 different tones to suit what he is doing on Friday as he is playing a 40 min set. The tones are good! Not tube amp great as he plays on one in the studio but GOOD! In fact his Johnny Cash tone is fucking good. So to all those who kick it in the guts I agree it's not top of the line but to anyone who has brought this for there kid as I have don't fear they are perfectly fine. My sons mentor has spent as much time with me as he has with him getting us up to speed. This weekend is a big deal and he has been loaned some nice gear for that but other wise it's all done on this amp and a Roland Street Cube which has surprised the hell out of everyone. Really good for what it is. I totally agree with the grips this guy has though. But you can dial tones using an APP on the PC. There are several things that would have made it so much better. It is what it is and it can blow the roof off the school assembly hall. We set the volume to about 6-7 and it still ate the PA for sound. More than enough. Boy I wish I knew 3 months ago what I know now. I would have made it sound so much better playing "Johnny B Goode" in front of his school at the end of year concert.
The biggest gripe i had with L6 gear is, just about the time the warranty runs out, that's about the time your gear takes a shit. I call them the disposable amps.
That was better than I expected. It has a unique snarl that could add something to layered guitars. Well done fluff. I'd use it to capture ideas, thats about it. That 8bit synth was the shit!
A few years back I got to go on a tour of the line 6 factory were the engineers work it was a nice place and all the people were really nice. They have a wall of some awesome shit that they use to model for there own amps. So many classic and modern amps I wish I owned. I don't own anything from line 6 I haven't been impressed with anything they make. I was thinking maybe this spider V might be good. but once again not for me. great video by the way
Don't worry folks Glenn Fricker said he's also doing a demo of this. He bought one and did unboxing video of it. Go subscribe to SpectreSoundStudios you'll see the unboxing video.
You should record the intro riff with whatever amp is being demoed , it would make for easy quick comparisons after watching the reviews of amps we think sound good.
I think it sounds IMMENSELY better than the Spider IV. With more features its an incredible improvement. Not saying it's great, but it's definitely better.
The problem that Line 6 and others have with digital amps is this: its just code - code for the DSP and code for the mobile and desktop apps, which once developed is basically free to replicate as many times as needed. If they didn't cripple the cheap products, people wouldn't pay for the more expensive gear (it is probably about $5 extra for the missing hardware). Lets say that you could use the App AND digital I/O at the same time AND it had bluetooth (or WiFi), then you could use this as a very cheap effects box/amp sim for stage use and just feed the digital I/O to the PA system via a suitable converter. You might just skip the purchase of a Helix, POD HD or Firehawk.
I still absolutely love my Spider Valve MkII HD100. Although it's unreliable at the moment because I dropped it... when not being a tempermental little sh*t it still sounds amazeballs.
Take my advice on this. For anything below Axe FX and Kemper the Fender Mustang owns em all. I have been through so much from Boss, Digitech, Zoom, and Line6 and I finally landed on the Mustang. Whether it's the amps or the floor. I use a Mustang III v2 as a power amp for my Mustang Floor and there's not a straight up tone I cant get from Country to all out Death Metal and everything in between. Thats not what seals the deal though. It actually feels and acts like the amps it is modeling.
my headphones have speakers much smaller than 8"... my Bluetooth speakers are much smaller than 8" & the Yamaha THRs have speakers much smaller than 8" & they all manage to reproduce low frequency content well. Heck, my studio monitors use 8" drivers & 3.5" tweeters.
Great honest, review. You are the real deal, man. What amp do you recommend then? I was going to buy this amp or the Line 6 Classic 15. I want a practice amp just for practicing in my bedroom while connected to headphones. I also want to have multiple sound effects in it. Also, another thing Line 6 did was you need to get the Spider V 60 Watt to get wireless cable feature. You don't to have a guitar cable to connect to the amp,.
Line 6 has yet to make a really good sounding 'beginner grade' amplifier. The Spider series has always had a 'fizzy' tone when you start increasing the gain. They just sound cheap and digital compared to other amps in the same price range.
I baught the spider V30 yesterday, with the FBV3 and I must confirm although I don't know it the random features are quit expensive but the clean sound of the amp is firm good with all the sounds you can provide. For me as mostly acoustic guitarist player it has quite a lot of options in fx mode...and the comment and the critics are correct. Spider had to do better than this...that is why I baught the 30watts and a great lack is the output to a PA
Love the riffage! Too bad R,r is no more. But I always giggle when I see people head banging in their room. Keep up good work. Love this riff so think I'll steal it. Ok?
I just don't see the point in these today. For beginners get you a Vypyr Tube 60 off eBay for like 150 dollars, has two power amp tubes, sounds good for a practice amp. But today we have Amplitube 4! Half decent studio monitors and a studio sub and it sounds amazing. I don't hardly ever touch my actual rig, I just play through that unless I needed to play live. Can't imagine any practice amp touching it. I run a Mesa Fifty/Fifty power amp and 1101 pre amp. I'd like to try one of the new Axe FX floorboards as a pre amp going into the Mesa though.
hi Ryan - so maybe 120 version that has XLR outs is better since you can hook your iphone to edit. I agree this is a flaw tho. I also though you have recorded tone from USB direct for the main track - and then the editing thru the headphone jack
5:09 SWITCH on the back :)
I love the high pitched fluff.
Ola Englund love ya Ola
nice job, good sir!
SpectreSoundStudios Love your videos Glen!
you better hurry up that fearless gear review, I wanna hear how bad it really sounds and hear your description à la fried assholes the way you do that! :D
Hey Glenn, are you going to mic the amp when you do this test? Most kids in learning in their bedroom won't use a mic but in a live situation a mic would be needed.
I wanted a comment about fried assholes. However! Glenn, you are the man. Thanks for doing what you do.
there has been more hype about your review of the line 6 spider V than there has been of the presidential election and the new star wars movies combined.
Calling it now, it's just a matter of time before Glen gets triggered by this.
Glen already bought one, I guess a review is coming down the line (Bu dum tshhh).
+Wolt
Wait, was that the Dan setting?
Hank Hill *FRICKERED!*

YES
Perfect black metal tone can be found somewhere inside one of these things I can imagine.
Go with a krank amp for that, esp on a budget
I keep thinking that also. I still to this day cant find anyone with a good video showing that it can
Man am I ever thankful to find an unbiased and honest review of this amp!!! I've been on the fences about buying a 60 watt version for a while, but your feedback gives me a bit more to think about. Thanks!
8 bit spider for the win
Haha yeah that was the one I heard and though oh, now that's different!
This would be cool as a pedal tbh if it allowed connection to the app and PC at the same time (or hey, just develop the same editor for PC and do it ON your PC).
2:58 (for anyone wondering)
If this is Fluff's review, I can't wait to see Glenns. Fluff was Savage as fuck (compared to his normal videos)
nah fluff was professional about and he seems like a guy who they will want constrictive criticism from. what happens is that most comments from this amp line seem like if they are typed by kids. 2:17 I THINK THAT SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL MEEEE
WHITE WHALE! HOLY GRAIIIIIILLL
mastodon is LOVE
I expected people to comment the lyrics chronologically. I is dissapoint...
Vitor Duzarte it is too scooped
Meh, as long as it doesn't catch on fire like my original Spider 112 did in High School then I'd say they've improved...
The fucker smoked out my buddy's (all ready smoked out) basement. Chucked it out side and it burnt to the ground... pretty damn funny to think about now but I was pissed.
Shit - and I thought the Line 6 Spiders were fire-resistant. That's one less useful in the already small pool.
Bought a spider 100 mkIII as a backup/small jam sessions head. Around the 5th time using it the head went up in smoke. haha! Still, my pod hd floor unit was basically free and sounds decent just for simple recordings and practice.
I know a guy whose spider 4 caught on fire, kinda worrying since I have a spider gathering dust in the corner of my room
Smith Smithson pretty sure it won't catch on fire just sitting unplugged.
Could they not have made a desktop version of the companion app? Seems like that could vastly improve the usefulness of the amp. I don't know, maybe that's in the pipeline?
Line 6, already have almost same Amplifi series introduced in 2014 ... we have end of 2016 and still no desktop/pc app
say thanks that we have android app after almost 1.5 year of release of amplifi
with poor bluetooth conectivity
I use a MKII Spider Valve head, which has a really useful desktop app for dialling in or saving and uploading tones, it's excellent. Can't believe they're not doing that any more! Still not going to buy any more Line 6 stuff unless it's a Helix or something.
Pete Cottrell you could run the Android app on your PC through a virtual machine.

Not a bad amp! A lot more organic sounding than the ones before.
I'm always very sceptical about Fluff's gear reviews. Too much post processing.
Ryan Bruce Somebody had his feelings hurt.
no kidding, he makes every amp sound the same. You never know what at amp really sounds like with all that processing.
Come on guys, he told us how the cab sounds, how the head sounds, the sound was quite thin even when it was recorded direct and was a little EQ'd because there were some high noises. (seriously, only a couple of high frequencies were put down). This should give you a good idea of what the line 6 V can do, no?
Mario Murillo I wish he would just have the audio of the guitar and stop adding fucking drums come on man.
you need to be kind with your followers douche bag.
Thank you for being honest and pointing out real flaws in this amp. This happens when you aren't trying to sell to customer so you aren't biased. Ive got a Zoom G5 and so far nothing new can touch it. (Helix maybe but it has no drum machine for practice).
They've actually made it decent. Good on them. It certainly won't replace a better amp but for a practice amp, this is alright.
It's refreshing to watch such an honest review! That's just what UA-cam needs more of.
I really appreciate you pointing out the things you liked AND being honest about what you didn't like. That's a review.
did I hear a bit of Blood and Thunder from Mastodon in there??
but fluff you have to think about their target audience: How many beginner guitarist have a sweet recording rig and studio quality monitors? I know I didn't, and the app is cool as it is!

i know the amp is a lot better than mine but this is stupid. they are literally some connectivity away for the living room guitarist wet dream and weekend warriors ultimate gig set.
i am no professional guitarist and i was pumped for this amp. now i am just whatever. i can get their amplifi pedal board and some monitor speaker in the same prize as the spider v v60 which make v60 pointless... and therefore spider v v30 useless. only good thing about v 60 is wireless connectivity on board

Have played one of these for hours at my work. They aren't bad at all for solid state. One of the best yet really.
2:17 That Mastodon Riff though! \m/
Best part about this demo was Fluff's shoes. Damn, those are some nice shoes.
H̶a̶u̶n̶t̶y̶u̶ They're really underrated shoes in my opinion. I prefer them over vans or most other popular brands. Super comfy and lightweight.
Glad I watch this before purchasing. Thanks Fluff!
You take this amp and play it through a nice set of processional headphones and it sounds damn good.
because its no longer amp sound, its the sound of professional headphones silly head,
Andy Bradford It's still the amp you're hearing. The headphones are just the speakers. The amp is still responsible for all the tone.
no its not, you can have the greatest amp in the world, and if you use apple headphones, you will only get Apple Headphone quality audio out of it. Make sense?

Good amp for practicing. Definitely not a gigging amp though.
the amount of amps you own is just incredible. jealous
first time I come across your page what a BADASS collection of heads you have !!!!!!!
i used to care so much for tone that i forgot to listen to the music. now i dont give a shit about tone unless its unbearable. but i accept what it is, i see so many people saying "i cant listen to this the tone sucks!" those people are listening to tone not music. and i guess for the black metal fans line 6 is perfect lol

I'm not the only one who feels like this is a tv show right? "today on riffs beards and gear" seems like a good discovery channel / history show

Your legitimate honesty in this review just got you another sub. Keep on keepin' on brother!

I sincerely hope that line 6 is checking out the reviews - improve on the design for either the next round of them or to at least upgrade the software elements
direct audio is pretty good.
I want good sound from the speaker itself.
Okay, so the sounds were actually pretty passable, but this is worth its weight in gold just for the 8-bit effect.
Yeah I have a 60 and it really does have good tones far from the old spiders people used to make fun of! They really improved the sound
Thanks for the review. Good to hear an honest review, even if it isn't popular.
Line6 lost my business when I had an issue with a POD and their support told me to toss it and go buy a new one rather than help with the problem. No more money from me. EVER.
lost it at the 8 bit effect, that's so awesome
This is a BAD ASS amp!!! I'm loving mine. Any cover band guitar player should get one of these.
I'd be happy to also hear it mic'ed.
Yeah that switch for drive me nuts...glad I watched your vid!
The player is more important than the amp; this demo proves it...Fluff pulled the full potential out of this amp.
Not much mention of the sound of the amp, but barring the speaker I'd say the sims sound pretty good. Leaps and bounds above the older spiders.
That 8bit synth was the shit!
one good thing about it is that it is wireless ready for a guitar. all you need is the transmitter and that costs $99.99.
Good honest review Fluff!!
Please get your hands on the BOSS Katana and the new BlackStar ID 100 or 150 PLEASE.
Thank you for this honest review! Great job!
Killer amp , killer tune . Well done . Even Glen likes ! : )
This a real honest and constructive review!
Thank you for saving me some money. I had a flextone II and thought this looked promising. But I would have the same complaints. To bad
I find it hilarious that he has a literal wall of amazing amps, and he's plugged into a Line 6 spider.
Nice demo! Dude you have way too much gear packed in that room...I'm jealous.
Glenn! Where the fuck are you! Your kind words of wisdom are required! Someone send for him...
You should record the intro riff with whatever amp is being demoed , it would make for easy quick comparisons after watching the reviews of amps we think sound good.
Think you did a great job at making this sound good
I think it sounds IMMENSELY better than the Spider IV.
Glad I bought the Firehawk instead of waiting for this.
Nice unbiased review
Take my advice on this. For anything below Axe FX and Kemper the Fender Mustang owns em all. I have been through so much from Boss, Digitech, Zoom, and Line6 and I finally landed on the Mustang. Whether it's the amps or the floor. I use a Mustang III v2 as a power amp for my Mustang Floor and there's not a straight up tone I cant get from Country to all out Death Metal and everything in between. Thats not what seals the deal though. It actually feels and acts like the amps it is modeling.
I was about to get a new line 6 pod but I decided to go with the eleven rack by avid and best decision I ever made
my headphones have speakers much smaller than 8"... my Bluetooth speakers are much smaller than 8" & the Yamaha THRs have speakers much smaller than 8" & they all manage to reproduce low frequency content well. Heck, my studio monitors use 8" drivers & 3.5" tweeters.
Thanks, Fluff. Glad I saw your review before wasting my hard earned money.
Goddamn I love it when you headbang. I love your hair Fluff!
Line 6 has yet to make a really good sounding 'beginner grade' amplifier. The Spider series has always had a 'fizzy' tone when you start increasing the gain. They just sound cheap and digital compared to other amps in the same price range.
Thanks for the honest review.
very nice combo for beginner and not only
Great video as usual. Lmk if you need someone to take that Randall off the shelf for you...
Great review man prefer hearing it not in a mix
And loved your opinion on it
All those AMP models and effects remind me and sounds like the ones in the Pod X3... even the names
This was my first practice amp. The dealer told me right away that I should never use it without the app
love the 8-bit tone
I baught the spider V30 yesterday, with the FBV3 and I must confirm although I don't know
it the random features are quit expensive but the clean sound of the amp is firm good with all the sounds you can provide. For me as mostly acoustic guitarist player it has quite a lot of options in fx mode...and the comment and the critics are correct. Spider had to do better than this...that is why I baught the 30watts and a great lack is the output to a PA
1:32 Does that cord and strum pattern remind anyone else of the song "Ugly?"
Love the riffage! Too bad R,r is no more.
But I always giggle when I see people head banging in their room. Keep up good work. Love this riff so think I'll steal it. Ok?
I still say the Pod HD X series and Helix have been by far the best to come from Line 6. EVER.
I liked the video cause of the Blood and Thunder riffage. Long live Mastodon!
The opening demo sounded pretty good, but when you started demoing the different sounds you can get with the app, they all sounded terrible to me.
The opening had lots of post processing on it
I just don't see the point in these today.
You hittin the gym Fluff? Looking swole brah, nice gains.
hi Ryan - so maybe 120 version that has XLR outs is better since you can hook your iphone to edit. I agree this is a flaw tho. I also though you have recorded tone from USB direct for the main track - and then the editing thru the headphone jack
