- Why beyoncé keeps submitting to the Grammys? In this video, I'll try to answer that question. I'll talk about what top honors really mean for the recording academy and the main reason Knowles yearns for top honors.

The primary reason Beyoncé submits her work to the Grammys is to give her collaborators a chance to earn one. When she wins, other people win as well. So many people got their first Grammy awards because they contributed to Renaissance. It's bigger than her

Maybe she wants to prove that if you continue to work hard past a certain age, then you can still be relevant, win awards, remain a entertainment icon, trendsetter, etc. you don’t have to stop until you’re ready to stop 🙌🏾
One of her idols is Tina Turner. Who’s known for her and her career being in her prime when she was older. So I def think Bey feels that way on some level

Agreed! The notion that she should “sit down” because of her age is what I find very sad. If she still finds joy and is passionate about what she produces then why shouldn’t she continue to make music? Also, there are so many people who will have Beyonce on their resume and will be able to possibly find success and longevity using their passions as well. She’s a catalyst for others.
She can never surpass legends especially Mariah Carey who sold millions more pure album sales than any female in the USA. Not to mention Mariah has 19 record breaking #1 billboard hot 100 singles for any female artist.

She makes the ratings go up. I like Beyonce's music and she can perform her buns off however there are a lot of other singers that are great too and the fans should support them as well
Yeah, that’s why she keeps collaborating with other writers. Prince had collaborators also, but he wrote produced, all of his music. As far as Destiny’s Child I don’t believe she wrote all the songs .

Renaissance is Beyoncé's stronger album compared to Lemonade, music-wise.
Lemonade is actually a wide body of work including many artistic aspects such as the visuals, fashion, and even history and politics. Musically, there are songs which sound unfinished (Pray You Catch Me in the beginnin) and this issue previously showed up in her previous effort, self-titled. Other songs are a little weak such as Forward (and God knows how I have listened to this album).
Ultimately, I think Beyoncé's weakness when it comes to her artistry being properly awarded is her limited representation on the songwriting part (the elephant in the room nobody wants to tackle). The Grammys are very classical when it comes to music processing, sometimes racist or classist, but still very classical. They'd rather award an artist who's simultaneously singing, songwriting, producing, mixing, composing, playing instruments, and even artistically directing than someone who has 32 other people featured as co-songwriters (which is not a good look, to be honest), even when they're the album's main or sole curator.
It’s not a constellation prize🤣🤣🤣🤣! When you receive awards in your field-no matter how insignificant to outsiders-they give you professional credibility. No, you don’t have to have awards to prove you’re great, but they solidify your contributions to your profession.

She still makes critically acclaimed projects that she wants acknowledgment for I don’t think its any bigger than that. Also keep in mind since she’s such a collaborative artist to acknowledge her work is to acknowledge many. As opposed to some1 like Mariah who doesn’t submit anymore and doesn’t need the acknowledgment difference being to ignore Mariahs work is just to ignore her so its more personal when she loses. Bey walks into the Grammys with a team of creatives she represents.
The Grammy's isn't exactly an award show, it's more of a club, so they don't matter as much as far as awarding for just outstanding music. Beyonce submits to the show because she is in the club and knows that she will win. She brings views which is good business for The Grammy's.
What people don’t seem to understand is there other icons besides Beyonce. You’ve have Rihanna, Taylor, Lady GaGa, Madonna. Yes Beyonce is a good performer. But people act like she’s the only performer in the world. She’s not.

I really dislike the narrative that Beyoncé has no hand in writing her music. Especially when it’s not backed by any substantial evidence. To believe that the woman that is credited as being the first woman ever to win the ascap songwriter of the year award for writing Destiny’s Child’s entire “Survivor” album.. Can’t write some simple lyrics like “Up in the club, just broke up, doing my own little thing” is blasphemy.
She acknowledges her songwriters there’s many ppl who work with her on writing but her iconic lines from lemonade etc are not written by her some are
I think she's slowly and kindly backing away from the whole process because she doesn't do anything extra besides show up (not mad at it either). No red carpet, no presenting, no performances.

Great video i do disagree with you on 1️⃣ thing though, her National Anthem to me was memorable because every female after her tries to do it similar to her & she actually sang it live unlike Whitney Houston hers was lipsung from her concert at Constitutional Hall.

If have to understand that it’s not just her who’s winning these Grammys, it’s her collaborators, producers, writers, or directors that also win. Maybe she wants them to get credit as well.
