@@BeardsandCars i see but the thing is since i have patchy spots in my idk were they are and i never had a patchy beard b4 i had it long till i started cutting random places.
Only thing I do differently ( curly AF beard ) is I add butter in the morning at the end also to maximize the curls ( I don’t need to trim at all that way .... I style it in place...) and I only comb through it when it’s wet ... if needed to touch up mid day I use a spray bottle first and mist it the comb with a wide comb ( wide like a Afro pick) I find for me when I stopped fighting the curls and ran with it .... my growth, texture, appearance and fullness contributed to my healthiest beard experience.
Also may seem over the top? .... but when I had a corporate beard I always had a mirror ( plastic high school locker door kind from dollar store ) taped with double sided gorilla tape to the shower wall... it was great for shaving neckline in the shower ... now I use it when I lather up and comb through it with a cheap brush in the shower ... all directions... I mainly do it to massage the skin under beard ... but it also helps me use “less” product and even coverage .... just a plus for me .... Old lady likes it too when I shaved no mess ... and now she still does for when she removes her makeup.... win win
I tried many beard products I was still getting breakage and split ends byt after switching to hair products worked for me now I oil my nesrd 3 times a day
James, Great video brother, (just subscribed)! Everything you said was key. For me the most important prevention to beard breakage is to never comb your beard dry. If I have to get up in the morning and have to skip the shower till later I’ll dampen the beard and apply some fractionated coconut oil and comb through. I even do it once in awhile as a moisture booster in the middle of the day. Also when it comes to combs the #1 comb for beads is Chicago Comb Company carbon fiber No. 8. I have three and I love them. In fact some beard companies sell them with there own logo on them. (Alley Cat/Beard Octane/Furry Hippie) 👊🏼👊🏼👍🏼
New to the channel I defently have breaking beard, I have decent oils and butters and I use beard shampoo and conditioner and have beard brushes all for the beard only but I still have breakage :(
I had a bad habit of trying new products (which is great) but for me its hard to know what works and what doesn’t when i did that. I found a killer oil in Honest Amish. Their premium oil is just that. I co-wash 4 days a week with SP and use bearded mack butter at night and royal beards man butter in the day💪🏾💯
👋hell ya that great ...sometimes it takes awhile especially when we like to switch it up but glad you found what works for you..thanks for sharing and for watching brother 👊
Good info bro I use beard butter castor oil in a leave-in conditioner at night in the morning I wet the beard and put beard balm on what do you think about that?!
About 5 months into this beard journey and I was happy with everything. But in the past 2 weeks I’ve noticed the center of my beard thinning and breaking. Now I have a forked beard and it looks bad. Not sure what I did wrong, maybe I need higher quality products.
Try keeping up with what was said in the video brother and sometimes we all get that fork not all can grow the center of the beard long and as the length comes sometimes the fork is rite behind it😏...thanks for tuning into my channel its much appreciated 👊
What to do. I've left it too late. Beard is breaking. I've lost inches in places. Feels thin, dry & getting shorter. I've never trimmed it. Should I cut inches off it? Shave it off completely and start again? Or will just oil and beard butter alone fix this, without cutting any off the length?
Hard to say but I definitely wouldn't cut it off. Maybe a trim and continue to condition, wash, butter and oil. Sounds like it's super dry but not sure.
Great advice, taking care of split ends is a game changer for sure!
👋Yes it is..and thanks its much appreciated ..welcome to the channel brother!
