    I Just picked up one for myself! I had a similar experience today. Drove 5 hours round trip. It was worth every mile! I even played it against a few PRS and other Eastman. At first I couldn't find the guitar. The guy at the guitar shop said he hasn't seen it and it's probably sold. It was in a rack Off to the side. I was blown away! Unplugged it sounded sweet! I plugged it in and bought it! I've had a Gibson ES339 and this eats its lunch! So much more alive!

    Sweet guitar, a beautiful looking and sounding guitar, and it sounds like it feels good too. I've been considering the T485MX, which has a 15" body instead of 14". They also make the T486MX, which is the same size 16" body as a ES-335 and Casino, which have always seemed a little big, while the Casino Coupe I won is a little small, so I assume the 15" body will be just right.

    Hey Krenar... I have an Eastman T386 and a Eastman SB56 Gold Top. The T386 has a fatter neck than the solid body and I was going to ask you about the fatter neck on the hollow-body. The workmanship in both of mine is impeccable... beautiful ebony in the fingerboards, etc. I cannot imagine any other guitar (Gibson, etc) being any better made. The ONLY issue I have had with mine is a slight bit of nut binding... easily adjusted... like yours, the fretwork on mine is the best I have ever felt. Great video and good seeing you!

    Such a little body but with a touch of reverb it really delivers some acoustic feeling. Do you feel strange with the smaller body? Or it doesn't really matter?? And is the tone less "airy" than the 16 inches one??? How do you compare it with the Ibanez as113?

    • @KrenarCilkuGuitar
      @KrenarCilkuGuitar  Рік тому +1

      Hey there! The Eastman definitely is a warmer sounding guitar. The ibanez has a good snappiness to its tone and it does feel a bit more airy sounding. Nevertheless, they are both amazing guitars and you can do a lot with both. Bang for your buck, the Ibanez is a great shout as well. Cheers!

    Great video and nice sounds! I have the T486, almost identical to yours but for the size and the inlays. I also put 11s on (flats). Quickly became my favourite guitar, over my Gretsch and Epi Joe Pass, though they are all have their own thing going on. The Eastman just feels and plays like a quality instrument. Not sure they are still doing the nitro finish though - they’ve been phasing that out for a little while now and replaced with a kinder to people and planet substitute - it’s glorious though.

    I'm looking for a more traditional archtop, fully hollow body, with floating bridge. How would you compare your Standford Vanguard in terms of quality with the Eastman? That's awesome, I'd love to have a T-64 with a Bigsby! I'd say the built quality between Eastman and Stanford are on paar depending on what you're looking for. The Vanguard is the Jazz guitar I would recommend to everybody. Plays, sounds and feels beautiful. The solid sprucr top on it is thin but very resonant and it sounds beautiful unplugged.
