The Rick O Sound feature on the Rickenbacker does nothing for you unless you use a Y cord and plug it into 2 separate amplifiers. The idea is to create a stereo effect. If you use a single cord in the Rick O Sound input, all you will get is a constant very bright treble sound. Trust me---I've owned four. Back in the 60's, a band mate owned the Gibson SG you presented. Nice guitar with a great sound, but due to the worst vibrato system ever created, keeping the guitar in tune after the slightest bending is an effort in futility. That being said, having played and instructed professionally for 67 years, I am in awe of Nathaniel's talent. His style and ability to play clean, precise and fast in all styles of music proves how versatile he is. There is no stereotyping, Nathaniel. You are a joy to watch and listen to Nathaniel!!!
Nice Playing Nathaniel😎👍Very impressive! All nice guitars but that PRS Checked all the boxes for me.Thanks for sharing guys good stuff!😎🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤘🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️🎉🇺🇸
We recorded the last song of our debut album with a Rick O Sound, in a Fender Deluxe (neck) and a Bassbreaker (bridge) amps, and it sounds like a whole herd of guitarists. Ricks are amazing!
Seriously man. I question the point in playing guitar anymore every time I watch these vids. How I’ve wasted not trying to become a better player these last 30 years 😩. You’re playing is phenomenal. Pint on me if you in Dublin again 🍺
I love that Nathaniel plays the guitars without a ton of pedals at first. It shows off the instrument’s natural tone and his playing! The overdrive pedal sounded great too, but for me it was his clean/slight break up sounds that really got my attention.
Great playing as usual. They all sounded nice through the Fender amp. Those James Burton Tele's are something special, I had the pleasure of installing one of our carbon fibre necks to one this colour. I didn't want to give it back to the customer and asked for first option to purchase it if he ever wanted to sell it. I would love it in my collection!
Wow what a great looking store and this guitar player was damn good .I bought that McCreedy Strat Cant afford a custom shop but this is very close to it no complaints Its an awesome guitar .
I've played that SG multiple times when it used to be on the SG pillar. It plays AWESOME. Its a genuine dream guitar, if you have $14,000 that is! To see it in the vault makes me feel like part of some exclusive club
I'd love to see a This Just Plugged In but focusing on demoing different amps! Though of course the deluxe reverb is delightful as always. Great playing as usual Nathaniel!
I went to school with Tom Petty. Growing up in the same town playing music with some of the same people. He was probably the most famous from my home town. Don Felder and Stephen Stills also were great guitarist. The thing about Nathaniel is he is more of a session picker. He can play any style and is overall better than most everyone who wrote the songs. What I mean is he can play Tom Petty songs as well or better than Petty but then turn around and play Chuck Berry as well as C.B. also. Probably the best guitar player I've EVER heard. Seriously talented. He makes you feel like you need to pick up your game or use your guitar as a door stop or something else, lol. (Russell)
Just picked up guitar after 10 year layoff. Im rusty, but love watching UA-cam about guitars. This guys playing is insanely inspiring. These riffs are off the cuff, switching up guitars etc. Crazy good. Looking for a preview on the PRS Silver Sky SE, which I just bought this week. Its so awesome
Awesome video thanks! ❤ My favorite guitars in this video were the purple Tausch and the Flying V. Lol as soon as I saw that old SG I thought how long it will stay in tune.
Just picked up a Custom Shop Gibson SG from CME a couple weeks ago. We flew into Chicago just to see the place and it’s overwhelming in person! Geoff Tinta helped us out and he was awesome to work with. Everyone there was super cool and the SG is a hell of a guitar! Edit* I was one of the people that bought Nathaniel’s slide😁
I recently started doing business with CME, and I have nothing but great things to say about the care and service they put into every guitar or bass I have purchased. They even threw the still like new factory strings back in the bass case, which I will boil and reuse, and get a year or more from hooking me up with otherwise throw away, they noticed they were like new and plenty of life and hooked me up saving me 50 bucks later. They personally set up every one to play perfect out of the box, packed excellent, one thing I would changed guys, is use bubble inside the case against the finish instead of paper. Paper will scratch finish. Same reason you dont put a cardboard box on a trunk of a new car. Go test it. You will agree no paper on the finish. Otherwise they take the utmost fantastic care of their customers and I will be giving them a lot more business. These guys are FANTASTIC!! Kyle and Collin are fantastic. CME is one of my favorite shops now.
Love this series, keep it up please! Two (unrelated) ideas: 1. More acoustics! 2. How about showing both the least and most expensive guitar in the shop?
Hope one day to make it to CME and listen to Nathaniel in-person. Didn't see any but... I favor two builders; Tom Anderson and Collings. Love to hear his playing and more so his opinion on Tom Anderson (any guitar) and a Collings Acoustic and Electric.
I love these videos guys! Nathaniel your playing is both inspiring and maddening! You are so fluid! why was the price on the PRS listed in the video as $2199 but Nathaniel said it was 15k? Thanks guys!
One of, my dream guitars….. prs special semi hollow. Out of interest, how long do we have to wait in your opinion, before the early prs guitars can be classified as vintage? I am not a V fan, but that little chug sesh sounded great.
This was so sick! An episode with a bunch of single pickup guitars please! I saw a sick red semi hollow esquire at minute 23:15. Can you show the coolest Les Paul Junior and Esquire in the shop? Thanks! You guys rock!🎸⚡
I really appreciate Nathaniel’s playing. Beautiful guitars. Could anyone tell me what song is being played from 8:35? Would love to try and learn his version
Yep! He's on Joe Wortell's album "Vacations in Florida" Check out the baritone solo on "Harder You Fall" and the guitar fireworks on "Key Largo"...absolutely rippin'

Our Pleasure!! 🤘🤘
Oh my word. I’m a huge Bee Gees fan and that How Deep Is Your Love arrangement was beautiful.
He's bloody good this bloke. I mean DAM good. He can play anything he wants.
I love this series. I think Nathaniel may dethrone Danish Pete as my favorite UA-cam host if he keeps this up.

Amazing guitars. And that How Deep is Your Love jam was. 👌
Wow! that 62' SG was AMAZING!!!
Once again stopped everything once I saw this come up. Favourite series on UA-cam by far right now. Love it all!
Thank you!! We'll keep em coming!!
Aside from the fine guitars and even better playing, gotta say that Deluxe Reverb always sounds great.
Jack Pearson is a fing legend. Whatever guitar. He can make a Bullet sound killer

It's only wasted if you didn't enjoy it. The first rule is to have fun.

Love you Nathaniel 😉 Thanks 🙏 (I’m ready for the natural 335 in the Narnia room)
yes come to Germany. we have a lot of great guitar builders here.

That's the best version of running down a dream I've ever heard. That Ric suits your playing style. Which is superb for sure.
The Tausch guitar sounded exceptionally good I think.
This is the best presentation videos on the net. Love your playing and you overall vibe. Love it.
Wow, made it to the thumbnail 🤟🏻 thanks for checking out the flying V! Excellent playing as always!

Some really beautiful guitars (and a PRS lol) absolutely ridicilous playing by Nathaniel as usual
This show should be called--NATHANIAL! and some CME guitars!🎃

That's some crazy good playing. You dude could sell me a beat up out of tune half working noname guitar.
Any lefthanded guitars? 😂 Nat your awsome. Visited the store back in 2010 played a 60s strat 2 tone burst. I'm a lefty.
