Hi, I tried this guitar and the pickups seemed a bit dark. Feel and playability wise it is perfect. Do you think it is a great guitar for blues?

Golden age indeed. I have 10 or 11 Teles from CS down to a couple of HB's...and everything in between...including an amazing LSL TBone. With good bones, and quality set up...like what AIO does on their budget guitars (my TC4 Tele is a work of art, not the guitar, per se, ...as the guitar got very little attention on cosmetic details, but the pro set up and fret dress was impeccable as advertised)...and a set of Lollar or Fralin or some equiv (go used to justify the expense)....any such mod'd Tele is a dream to play and hear. That Jet is indeed lovely....golden age...even for a lefty like me.

Another alternative at a similar price point in the North America market is the G&L ASAT Bluesboy. It is the Indonesian G&L line with a similar configuration.

I am not a fan of the low profile bridges on Teles and I prefer the six adjustable brass barrel saddles or the three compensated brass barrels, I have both of these on my Telecasters. The Jet guitars are great value for money and they have just announced some new models. This sounded good on the clean setting and I like the black body although I would prefer it with a parchment pickguard, or the pickguard I have recently 3D printed with a carbonfibre weave pattern and white fileted edges that makes it look 2 ply

Fazley guitars are technically identical or even higher specs than Jet and Jet guitar moved production to the same site where Fazley guitars are made a couple years ago. Another hype. These budget brands are coming and going regarding their popularity. Hardly anyone is speaking about Harley Benton now. These guitars are not bad at all but they come and go like the wind blows.

I bought Teleman T54 Nicotine aged also and it is stunningly sounding guitar. It alsovery resonant and I can feel that this wood resonates.

I have an squire 40th anni vintage strat and tele wich are in the same pricerange ( 300 -500 euro ) as the jet and they sound and play great , no modding needed , brands like jet , sire , squire ect. all make fine fender copy's for decent prices , but .... i stick too squire because of the headstock : ) , somehow too me that is very important , i don't care about the brandname that much but the headstockshape has to be like an real fender/gibson/martin , it's silly i know : )

I’ve had my T59/TV for ten days now. I love this guitar. The build quality is fantastic. It is super resonant. It plays great right out of the box. I don’t want to let go of long enough to get my luthier to do his magic. I have a Heritage Blues Boy which is a little larger than a 339. It is a killer semi-hollow as well. You’re right about Telecasters as well. Fender and G&L take your pick. The Eastman is a feast for the eyes and ears. I’ve been looking at Gibson 347s for a while and took a chance on the Eastman…. Best $2,000.00 I’ve spent in a LONG TIME!

1:53 I own an Eastman T486 and I really love it! A beautiful handcrafted guitar. I replaced the PUs with Amber O-Tone (no, not Spirit of 69) but the build in Seymour Duncan 59 and Jazz PUs sounded awesome, too. I didn't have or had an issue with my PUs like you had. But, glad to hear that you could fix it. Yes, there are some differences in materials (e.g. neck) and design but these are not that huge IMO. Both comes from Asia. Both are really wonderful semi-hollow guitars. The Eastman was around 1700 Euro in a local shop (got it for 1500 in the end). The Ibanez is 2579 Euro right now (thomann). You might save money here. Maybe ones decision should depend on the feeling between ones own hands (like you mentioned at 4:25).

I would never spend 2000USD on made in china guitar. They may sound good, but that's just ridicolous. Also, the craftmanship, headstock, the way the finish looks (kinda cheap), seems like they are shipped from Epiphone factory. For this price tag you should at least expect nitro finish. You can pick second hand gibson from reverb for less.

i have different experience with Unplugged/plugged guitar. To me there is no connection tht a good unplugged ringer can be a good electric ringer, moreso dead guitars often are very good electric ringers.

bought this guitar yesterday ! its my first electric guitar

Acctually I have this same guitar and the stock pickups are pretty rubbish. I swapped mine for some original USA Vinage Tele pickups and it improved the guitar 100%. I like the change so much that I bought myself the real thing, an American Fender Vintage 1951 Telecaster which sounds absolutely angelic for jazz and feels exquisite to play. I too am a jazz player 3in the mean time am saving up for and on the lookout for a Gibson Wes Montgomery Custom hollow body. Until then these telecasters are just perfect and will continue to be even after. That's all you need as a jazz player, a good hollow body and and tele.

Anyone know the nut width? 43mm officially but my mate says it's slimmer than that. Body size? How does it compare to the 339 or 335? Please have a look at the Epiphone Emily Wolfe & Jim James signature guitars. Epiphone have improved build quality and prices have dropped markedly this Summer. You can get real bargains if you look.

Hi Krenar! Thank you for your video. It was super helpful as I am thinking about buying the same guitar and fitting it with a tremolo arm. I wondered if this mod made the controls (knobs and switch) less accessible. Did you run into any problem in terms of space/accessing the controls on your guitar. I'm afraid it would get cramped as the guitar is smaller than a t486. Let me know! Thanks. Sam.
