Volume two is out here : ua-cam.com/video/zodw6HbsBFA/v-deo.html and contains some of them. Volume III is in the works but can't guarantee what's in the final cut, like volume II some shows are being forced to be chopped out due to restrictions and country blocking by youtube and the shows original creators! I do not monetize, I am just trying to have fun but some make that hard on us!

      @@VickiCampbell-1216 Good afternoon Vicki.
Are you responsible for this fabulous emotional road trip down TV memory lane? If so, thank you so much.
I found your channel, Vicki Campbell, interesting. The music you have compiled into videos of our Galaxy are amazing and beautiful. I play an online game called "Elite" which I have played for 36yrs because it's a safe non violent family space life simulator. However, it is now called, "Elite Dangerous: Horizons", furthermore it's next chapter very soon will become, "Elite Dangerous: Odyssey", we get space legs and for the first time in Elite history, very sadly we also get humanoid combat which means violence and blood gore turning Elite into a certificated non family game. Unfortunately, I am loyal to this game so I will be purchasing this blood fest because the next chapter Odyssey also comes with more finished star systems. It's the finished star systems incorporated that are of interest to me.
So what is Elite? Elite is a game made by Frontier but was created originally in the late 1970's alongside NASA, English, Japanese and other space agencies around the world to give us humans the chance to live our dream of a life in space.
In 1984, Elite was released, I was 12 and thanks to Star Wars giving me that dream of living in space, I became a space trucker alongside a space real time market trader.
Elite is a 1:1 scale replication of our Galaxy, made with the help of real space agencies, scientists and a REAL 24 hour clock.
In a time when home computer's were just seeing the light of day in our living rooms for the 1st time in history, Elite gave those who cared to dream, a game simulation of living a life in space that was safe and everyone could pick up and play.
Today, Elite is incredibly beautiful. The Frontier Development Team have really created an open world, sorry, in this case, open Galaxy that has so much authenticity and real beauty, it just brings tears of shear overwhelming emotion.
If the scientists and space agencies have found it, it appears in our Galaxy via Elites Galaxy.
They've recreated the vastness of space by specific scientific calculations through speed and time. So, a journey to 1 space station in Supercruise could take about 1 minute. However, another journey, say, to Colonia near the center of the Galaxy could easily take at least 5 hours, that's a genuine 5hrs, of jump time in hyperspace alone plus another 10 minutes from the the last jump point. I personally never get bored of the traveling times.
You want to explore the Galaxy, there's a scientific work placement for players to become system mappers. Build a specific scientific space vessel and start mapping the planets and systems... There's only Billions upon Billions of systems to map. You'll be dead before you'll even see 1% mapped of the Galaxy but find a new system, you get to name this system you found for real.
Yes I've gone on & on about this game, simulator but this is the true emotion you struck my heart through your sharing. It is so rare to find another genuine caring human in today's world and it just felt great to have this incredibly brief written encounter with you.
The other reason you touched my heart, I lost my Father a couple of months ago and he was the last of my living family. I've just spent the 1st Christmas in my entire life, alone and your videos helped me along with Elite. I've never felt so alone but Elite and your channel music space content made me feel like a child again and reminded me of my childhood dream, the great times I had with my Mother n Father, Brother n Sister and of course, my own late family I lost 14 years ago. I try not to feel sorry for myself because there's always someone out in the world who have experienced the same but perhaps in much worse circumstances.
Your kindness of sharing helped me more than you realize. Though you may think this strange and odd, you helped to save a life this Christmas. My life.
      Thank you.
Stay safe and may I wish you all the best for now and the future.

@@leviathanskiss8720 So many kind words, but I cannot say that I was the creator of this video. I wish I was. I am a life long science fiction/fact enthusiast and that was quite interesting reading the information you shared regarding your gaming adventures. It's wonderful to be 'mentally removed' from the mundane reality we reside in, through these simulated realities. I grew up in a science minded family. Grandfather was a chemical engineer, my mother volunteered through NASA, my best friend worked for NASA and my brother was a science teacher. I'm the humble observer in my family. I recently lost my mother in November. I can relate to your hardships. Thank you for your kind words, your shared interests, and I am so sorry that I was not the creator of this wonderful compilation of old sci fi TV programs. I grew up with them as well and I am still enamored by it all. Stay safe as well and find joy in all of life. All the best to you!

I think had Jonathan Harris not persuaded the writers and directors of Lost in SPace to make him the focus of the show; which encouraged the more humorous and cornie episodes; Lost in Space could have retained its more serious undertones and made for a series both children and adults could enjoy. Even as a kid, I prefered the way the first season was done.

Also a movie, believe the name was Silent Running or Run Silent or some such. Each dome was a biosphere from distinct parts of Earth, being preserved against the total sterilizing of the plant during the coming war. But the mother ship was ordered back to Earth and jettisons the biospheres. One crewman stays aboard one of the biospheres and fights to keep it alive.

So, 1977's Space Academy couldn't even come up with an alien head prop as good as Balok in Star Trek from 1966?

    • @STho205
      @STho205 3 роки тому

And Balok was a prop in the screenplay. The 70s US TV was uber cheap on camerawork and post production work. It was like a color version of the late 50s till 1964.
The sweeping camerawork of westerns was almost gone, and many shows had degraded to a "Honeymooners" or "Ozzie and Harriet" style situation soap opera stage sets (All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Maude, etc).
