@@christopherthompson152Yeah, I went to all the shows of all the bands you’d expect back then. Young, dumb and some disposable income (living with parents). I’ve got some stories too. Hung out with them in the practice studio in South Seattle. Good guys, as you’d probably expect. And stories of some other bands too. It was a crazy time 🤷♂️
I still play my AIC CD's...and listen to every song; no skipping...no need. Yes, this is live at the Moore Theatre (Seattle). And it's better than the studio recording. You might consider listening to Junkhead - Live (Singles Party)...next.
Aah, Alice in Chains. The memories from the 90s, that grunge sound. I love it. And yes, Millie, it is live, completely live!!, rare to see and witness nowadays. Amazing, greatness. You got it 👍🏽 Great reaction, Millie! 😄
35 years later, I still get goose bumps. FYI, there’s a Pearl Jam song with Layne Staley, there’s an Alice n chains song with Chris Cornell. There’s Mad Season which is a collaboration with Layne Staley and Mike mcready, Pearl Jam’s lead guitarist. And of course, Temple of the Dog, a mixture of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
I was 20 when this show happened.... in my first band. Man those were some days.... Still get the same feeling to this day and makes me pick up my guitar. Now you are on to some good stuff here young lady.
Back in 89 I saw them in Seattle before they got a record deal th3n again in 91. I had a friend that was a guitar tech for Metallica and a roadie for Heart, we partied with the band back stage. Layne was not long for our world, the gods wanted him to themselves.
If you liked this song then I would suggest Sunshine and It Ain't Like That by Alice In Chains next but every song off Facelift which is there first album is great but the second Alice In Chains joint called Dirt is one of the best albums in the history of music.
You gotta react to the rest of the show... Bleed the freak, man in the box and more. It was peak Layne imo, but Alice is Chains unplugged is on another level.
My AiC live experience was a brief but unique one. I went to see them open for Ozzy Osbourne as "Dirt" was just blowing up. It would not be long before they were a headline band. I had waited many years to see Ozzy live because when I was a teenager, my parents wouldn't let me go see Ozzy with Motley Crue opening up because of Motley Crue and it would be my only shot to see Randy Rhoads. I never forgave Motley Crue for that and never went to see them in my life because of that. Anyway, I go to the show with 3 of my best friends at the time and I am the only Alice in Chains fan of all of us. They didn't even want to see them! I raised enough hell that I finally dragged their ass in for the last two songs. I can't remember the first song I got to hear, but they finished the set with "Would?". Layne was in a wheelchair (but stood as he sang) singing with a cast on his leg and between the two songs a fan threw a big joint on the stage. Layne picked the joint up, fired it up and started smoking it as the band broke into "Would?". I just remember Layne's voice was the most powerful voice I had ever heard live. I have seen many bands live in my life, some of the biggest bands in the history of music in their prime too & Layne was phenomenal. I never got another opportunity to see them again live. I'm thankful for the brief experience I had as AiC to this day is one of my all time favorite bands. Layne was so special, and I still miss him. He was such a great talent that even when he was a fraction of himself singing for Mad Season that he was still better than 85% of the vocalists in the business at the time. Not a single bad song on Dirt or Facelift. EVERY song is an absolute banger. AiC and Pantera are both in a special place in my heart forever. RIP Layne, Dime & Vinnie. First time I shared this story.
This is a good version, good reaction. There is a good cover of this song by a mix of musicians including Tatiana from Jinjer doing vocals. You should check it out.
You should react to Acid bubble from the new Alice in chains, or the devil put dinosaurs here with William DuVall on vocals, Layne is irreplaceable, but William does a great job with the band, I like them today as much as the golden days
We will never get back Layne Staley and Chris Cornell. See my icon here? Most likely singing Rooster. We'll never get singers like them again. Type in here, chris Cornell live in studio version, nothing compares to u.
Grew up in Seattle. I was fortunate to be at that show, in the front. It was as epic as you might think it was. It still gets me, to this day.
Gtfo...I'm sure you realize how furtunate you are, but still. Damn bro. This is top 5 best shows in the last 50 years IMO.

Layne the true king of grunge
Layne always gave GOOSE BUMPS
He still does!

same
I do the same with Mad Season.
I am jealous of those who got to see them live. Layne's voice is like no other
You can see him feeling this song. Rip Layne and Mike.

Incredible song. Your reaction is fine as well. Layne was a once in a lifetime legend......
Every aspiring singer and rock musician should watch this performance at least once

Tremendous vocal performance for certain, but shout out also to Cantrell's dark, moody guitar playing.
Pretty much every Alice album is 100% killer no filler.
Ding ding ding. This was peak AIC and Layne ❤❤❤❤ check out who else played too. Truly iconic
RIP Layne Stanley.
Staley not Stanley 👍
Layne was 100% feeling, and it shows in his songs.
Type o Negative - Black No. 1 Live, another greaaat band
Nice. Alice In Chains rocks.
3:23 "this is epic".
All of us: wait for it...
Highly recommended Man in the box from the same live.
And Bleed the Freak!
Back in 89 I saw them in Seattle before they got a record deal th3n again in 91. I had a friend that was a guitar tech for Metallica and a roadie for Heart, we partied with the band back stage. Layne was not long for our world, the gods wanted him to themselves.
This could probably be the greatest performance of the 90's if not rock history! 1992.....No auto tune!!
It was in November of 1990, if I remember correctly.
Every band wishes they could this good. Better live than in studio.
I don’t think anyone can sing like him RIP Layne🤘🏼
One of the greatest live performances ever !
If you liked this song then I would suggest Sunshine and It Ain't Like That by Alice In Chains next but every song off Facelift which is there first album is great but the second Alice In Chains joint called Dirt is one of the best albums in the history of music.
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Best band ever 🤙❤️
Gasoline by Audioslave
Alice In Chains is GOATed, Jerry Cantrell never misses on anything ever.
This is my favorite band of all time, Still even with William, THE new singer
All AIC rules, Cantrell is one of the best songwriters to ever live.
like chris Cornell sang in Black hole sun "Nobodys sing like you anymore"... Always make me think about Chris and Layne
I was lucky enough to see them "LIVE" with Layne 4 times, And once with William DuVall
Layne is fucking KING. Also, I've never wanted to head pat a person so badly in my life. You're so sweet and so adorable. 💗
Nice band
You gotta react to the rest of the show... Bleed the freak, man in the box and more. It was peak Layne imo, but Alice is Chains unplugged is on another level.
Yes it was live in one take aswell Layne was that good he was better live every single time for me he is the best singer of all time!

I meet them in Davenport Iowa. They were way cool to me and my friends. 😁
Bleed the Freak........ RIP Layne and Mike. You are missed.
Saw them when they OPENED for Extreme back in 1990. It was incredible.
Imagine AIC OPENING for effing Extreme!!!!
Layne is the best voice of all time. Never heard anything like that man
Epic.
He and Chris Cornell voices that can ever be replaced. ❤
Listen to Toni Cornell. You can hear daddy in her voice. Beautiful.
THE GOAT
listen to that bass!
If you want another epic vocal performance from Layne checkout Junkhead Live. One of the grungiest songs you'll ever hear.
The one with 5.4 mil views at the Singles party.
It's called SOUL my dear...
This is a good version, good reaction. There is a good cover of this song by a mix of musicians including Tatiana from Jinjer doing vocals. You should check it out.
Hi love your reactions. Keep going and know your loved and a beautiful and wonderful person
You should listen, Incubus, Deftones, Soundgardem
Bleed the Freak from the same show 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jerry Cantrell's new album coming out sounds really good. "Vilified" is a banger
You should react to Acid bubble from the new Alice in chains, or the devil put dinosaurs here with William DuVall on vocals, Layne is irreplaceable, but William does a great job with the band, I like them today as much as the golden days
yea, more aic! 😊
Hi reaction to ladrones, the best band in México.nunca habías escuchado algo como eso
Gotta do bleed the freak live at the Moore
Totally agree!
Bien, Alice In Chains 😎🤟
The 🐐
Playlist - Staylist
To me they were a metal band not grunge real dark and heavy one word badass keep rocking
If AnyBody hasn't asked You yet , You have to listen to Pearl jam'z BLACK ( unPlugged ) !!!
To me, this performance is BETTER than the studio recording
Mantap
👍
Please tell me there is no "Tool" on this channel because you know about them!? Because if you have never heard of them... it's a "must" trust me.
Hello there hey there hey there hey Hello hey hi there
Have you reacted to Alice in Chains - Nutshell yet?
please react to "Fat Girl" by Steel Panther, they are a parody band of 80s hair metal and actually sound better than a lot of those types of bands.
A Neecy Feeling
huh?
Do rooster live on the mtv unplugged
One take..live
We will never get back Layne Staley and Chris Cornell. See my icon here? Most likely singing Rooster. We'll never get singers like them again. Type in here, chris Cornell live in studio version, nothing compares to u.
Give a try to David Lee Roth - Yankee Rose
Can you please react to Magnetized by Garbage , music video version please 😊
Great song! But I suspect it's not truely "live". Sounds tweaked a bit. You can even hear 2 different guitar parts.
I love your reactions but ... What happened to the 50's 60's and 70's music you loved ?????
Hey. Spit. In. My. Mouth. Thanks. 😂
You want an awesome bass line.....My name is mud - primus.
