Nice video. I have been looking at those parts for a year now, haven't pulled the trigger though since I don't have an error code(yet), so it's not a necessity and also don't have the extra cash sitting around.
Yeah I really didn't want to at first but now that I have I am so happy. I will say this now with the 4:10 gears and the new VB it shift like a dream especially when I get on it.
@@offroadicon How much did the gears cost? Everything still running good? I don't have any codes or any issues yet but have been thinking of doing this as a preventative measure and possibly re-gearing. I had 35's and 3'' level since I have owned my 2014.
@@nathanbrown-cwo467 I think that overall I paid around $1,200ish with gears and install. I did it in two different times. I bought the gears then did the install like a year later. Everything runs great and it feels like the truck likes it. I don't get the same slow response I had before. I also noticed Ram started sending them out with 4:10 from the factory.
I have the same code P0871 Ordered the REVMAX . The truck only acts up if I take off quickly and by the 3-4 gear it will act up and leave me on 4th while over reving. So I am down right now rather not drive it until parts replacement. Could you give us some feedbacks on how is your truck performing after
Well it runs cooler but that is from the new pan being extra capacity. I would say it shift the same as when I got it except when I get on it. In fact the truck acts like it wants me to smash the pedal. When you do the shift are pretty fast and smooth. But I don't know if that's really just cause of the VB or because the diff gears are lower now too.
Good video. I appreciate that you put this on for people to watch Question???? What Bluetooth OBD scanner did you use?? I'm in need of one, as I'm doing the Revmax valve body and need to do a re-learn. I have not had problems this is all preventative maintenance. Thank you. Tim
Thanks for watching. I use the obdlink mx with Bluetooth. I've attached a link to Amazon. No affiliate on the link. www.amazon.com/dp/B07JFRFJG6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_M7MHY1V5XAA6ASM08J6Y

@@offroadicon Thanks for the reply!
Great video man. That part is huge
Lol. Yeah it is but looks and works so much better
i did exactly as you did man and its still the same
Did you change the shifting solenoid? Is it a 2500 or a 3500? I have a friend with a 3500 that had his reprogrammed and said he had great results.
I have the same code P0871

Did you leave everything stock to your valve body
I replaced it with the billet one from revmax
Should have put you face in the little square and the item in the big one
Thank you for the input. It was really just a trial to see how to make it work. I appreciate the advice. Thank you for watching.

Is it still working good for you?
Still works great. I will say that the after the regear to 4.10 the transmission seems to really be much happier.
