I have that limited pack too
Taste so good
I can’t believe you used your truck as a truck and scratched it up, absolutely ridiculous 😮😂😂
Well. Different people use their trucks different ways. All a matter of perspective.
@@offroadicon I was being a smart a$$ lol. I do the same type of stuff to my trucks, use them, get em scratched up and dirty 👍🏻 I have friends that wash their truck because they drove through a mud puddle, I’ll drive mine through a fence row 🤣
What diagnostic trouble codes did you get to diagnose a bad turb actuator ?
Don't remember the codes but the boost wouldn't build on the boat menu on the dash nor would it go past 14lbs. When I took the actuator apart I could move it manually confirming that the actuator was not working
Is there another way to do the relearn ?
I would assume you could use a Autel/vehicle scanner or have the dealer do it. This by far would be the cheapest option.
@@offroadicon is there a way you can tag the link where you bought the Bluetooth device or which one do you recommend.
Good videos
thank you.
Yo, have the scratches came back over time? Good quality video
Nothing came back just new ones from taking it back out.
Greta video thank you How many quarts of fluid did you use total?
I wish I remembered. I went back to the store multiple times to get more.
Alright thank you, I did 13 1/2 quarter, so far is good
Does anyone know if this could be used on black wheels?
i would try messaging them on instagram and see what they say or their website. carfidant.com/pages/support
Couldn't you just zip tie it under the seat
Definitely could but mine has been in place ever since this video and never had an issue.
To many parts named guy
🤔🤔🤔 I can only assume for the title. Either way appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for making the video. I’m changing my straps right now. I have been dealing with the D ring straps for over 3 years. In every condition and with one broken hand at some point. Very informative video.
I will say I like the straps but after a few years they have broken down from the sun and wind and need to be replay. They are however much faster and easier to deal with so I will be changing them with the same ones.
I have a 2012 ram 3500. It got stuck in 4 th gear. I changed the shift solenoid. Code p0750. It ran good the next day on my way to work it went to 4 th again. I got a p0871 code. I reset the check engine light, and drove home fine, but should I change the transmission fluid pressure switch?
As much as I would love to give advice I will first say I am not a mechanic. My personal opinion would be to take it to a transmission shop. The 3500 transmission is different than my 2500 transmission. It could have a complete different reason for its issues including the programming.
Thanks for this video. My 2018 2500 threw the code wiith the same symptoms. How has the Revmax Valve Body and Solenoid held up? Have you had any other transmission issues?
I am happy to say that since that day everything has been great. Doing this and the gear changes on the axles have been some of the best upgrades for sure.
Don’t use in the sun.
Yes that is true but hard for me to show the video in the shade since my truck doesn't fit in my garage. Thanks for watching
Can you tell me what alpha reader that is? Amazon link? Thanks for the video.
Used to be called the MX + but I don't know if they still sell on Amazon. The alpha obd app is compatible with other Bluetooth ones however. Check out their website
How did it hold up after washing
Good. No complaints
Oh lord I just went to cleghorn and I got the same thing 🥹 and I was scared until I saw this video
Best of luck 🤞
Get rid of the music. I’ve never been to a class where the instructor turned on elevator music while teaching. Maybe because it’s distracting and offers nothing to the subject.
Thanks for the input. Appreciate the feedback
You just raise the value of that truck buy a lot
To bad I'll probably never sell it.
Where can I get this product?
I got it from Amazon. Hope it helps you
hello i am getting the same code po871 and po733 and po700 i keep turning the codes off they keep coming back it stop going in 3rd and 4th i changed the transmission it work for about 30 mins and it started back doing it all over again it will not go in 3rd or 4th again what can i do to fixed this i got a new pcm/tcm and 2 speed sensors and a pvs andit workfor a day and it started back again ....can you help me my truck is a 2004 dodge dakota 4 door SLT 4.7 trand is a 545rfe 2wd ..
I'm am not a mechanic. I wish that I could help but unfortunately I can only suggest to go to a professional or see if you happen to be able to Google the issue.
Scrub both sides the same! It’s disappointing!!
My truck is definitely not a detail type of truck. More of a wash once in a while type of vehicle
It doesn’t work that good, I have tried a lot of products and it doesn’t add up.
Sorry to hear that
How many gallons of coolant did you use to fill it again?
If i remember correctly it was around 2 gallons is what i purchased.
Im late to the party lol. Great video man. Quick question. I live in the PNW it rains quite a bit. Does this hold up with rain or water in general?
It has done well to car washes. Living in the desert that about the most of the water I get lol.
Have you have any problems with this one you bought off of Amazon? Im a little uneasy buying car parts off Amazon but ill be saving a couple hundred dollars
Thankfully I have not had any issues. I understand the concern as there are a lot of bad products out there. It has been working since I replaced the part
How do you like the 4.10s ?debating 4.10 or 4.56 mostly highway with occasional toy hauler to the desert running 37 Toyos.
The 4:10s are great. It's the way it should be. No tune and runs perfect
Awesome thank you
How long it took you to get yours rev Max? Also I didn't get the big deep pan is that something I need to get or am I fine with the OEM pan?
Arrived in a week or so and yes I did the pan also. The stock one has no drain and more fluid is better when it comes to heat
@@offroadicon okay thank you
Glad I found this video. Because I recently went to Cleghorn and now my truck is full of the same pinstripes. LoL
Hope its better when your done
@@offroadicon I didnt DIY it. I got a deal from a high end car wash in Mannhattan Beach and they took care of it for me.
Hey bud can you post a link to the app you’re using. Mine tells me to download OBDLink but it’s completely different than yours. I would appreciate it very much!
I purchased the older version of this one. Mine was not the plus. Then I used alpha obd from the android app store. OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for iPhone, Android, and Windows a.co/d/2tbk2io
Someone said if I install a new valve body I will need a pressure control module
Not sure about that one
@@offroadicon u didn’t do anything more to your install.have you done any towing
Have you done any heavy towing with the new valve body yet
I tow my toy hauler on 37's and it's been really good. Shifts much smoother
Did you leave everything stock to your valve body
I replaced it with the billet one from revmax
I’m about to do this with my 17. does it solve the shift flare as well? And mine only throws that code when I cold start and throw it into gear right away before letting it idle for a min
I never had that issue so unfortunately I don't have an answer for that. Sorry.
After you washed the truck in the future did the scratches re appear?
Nope
This held up to this day now? I have a handful of tiny scratches on my black Ram. Love this method a lot.
It has held up for me. Of course I have made new scratches since this video
Hi I have same year Can you regen with that scanner tool?
It's have not tried before. I would have to look through the menus.
So you’re saying if you have a grey connector; you can use a white one. But what if I have a white connector, can I use a grey one? What’s the difference and have you had any problems? Thanks bro!
The white module is the latest upgraded version. I wouldn't suggest going backwards.
How long does it last?
Doesn't go away unless you scratch it again. With me going offroading I add them all the time
your truck back to shine..thanks for share..
City Diesel sells and has sold a self-calibrating actuator that fits multiple turbos. I got theirs for $900 for my 2013 Ram 3500 (HE300VG turbo) and never looked back. Bolts and seals, coolant, back on the road in 2 hours, start to finish.
Yeah I wanted the billet one but it was out of stock for 4 months when mine went out
Take the tire off, it's easier.
I would agree but it wasn't hard with the tire on.
Got to do a quick learn on my transmission what OBDLink did you use
the MX bluetooth module. got it from amazon.
@@offroadiconcan u add the link please
@@offroadicon Do you have to do the relearn? i am about to do this whole replacement on my truck in a few days.
@JLU24DR yes. I used alpha obd to do the quick relearn as shown in the video.
I haven't watched the video yet. Read the comments and mine is basically in the same boat. I would greatly appreciate any help as mu truck is a huge part of my livelihood and been down for 4 months now. How did you determine what part(s) failed? 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins 4WD 68RFE Automatic Transmission-Won't move either direction Codes P0871, P281F, and P2706 The 0871 is consistent and it started last year after I way overfilled the trans when I changed the fluid and filters. 281f and 2706 have set randomly maybe 2 or 3 times. Before this situation of no movement, if I don't BARELY ease down onto throttle it will slam into I think 3rd gear and won't go any higher until I turn truck off and it immediately resets. It does it the most when pulling something. It will downshift when I stop at a light or something. Then when I start moving again it won't shift up until almost 3k rpms, and when it does, it hits extremely hard. One of those other codes (2706 I think) it gets stuck in fourth gear and shows it on my display like I'm manually shifting. It won't shift up or down or anything it will stay in 4th gear. But whenever I turn the truck off or anything it resets it, still has the codes but it resets and runs fine for a while or a little bit sometimes. Sometimes it comes right back or whatever. I can clear the codes but they come back as soon as does that first hard shift and stays in third gear or whatever. I need some troubleshooting and/repair procedures if anyone has any access to this info. Hopefully, it's just a blocked valve or something small versus and blown transmission.🤞🏼
I am not a mechanic but to be honest mine was pretty simple to trouble shoot. I knew it was the shift solenoid from the beginning. I had a past vehicle (different brand & model) do the same thing mine did which was give me a hard shift then basically lock itself in 3rd or 4th gear limp mode. When it happened to me on the freeway the first thing I did was get home and stop driving the truck until I got the parts. I didn't really need to purchase a Valve body but figured since I was already going to be in there and taking it out that it would be safe insurance for the future of the transmission. Once I pulled the pan down and saw nothing on the magnet I felt some relief and it was only re-enforced by looking at the stock valve body and not seeing any cracks. The P0871 and the P2706 seem to point towards the shift solenoid but that P281F seems to be something different. To be honest most of the time these vehicles have the same issue and you can basically google them based on vehicle year and type. Wish you the best of luck. sorry to hear you are having trouble.
Great video, how much coolant did you have to add back in?
I think I put in two gallons. I know that I had to add more after a couple of months with the system burping out the air pockets.
I've watched you video and i have a 2013 ram and recently upgrad from 3.55 to 3.92 with true trac..... can i use your process on my truck
Yes. Alpha OBD works on 2013+ trucks. I would check their website if you have any questions.
@@offroadicon thanks for your reply, you mentioned a website could you post a link so I know am on the right site please
the seal you removed at 12:48 minutes- did that come with the parts from revmax?
Yes that part did come with the replacement filter. I ordered the filter with the metal thread insert replacement.
Its not a car and you used about 10x the soap that was needed to wash your truck lol
Both may be true but either way it ended up clean and still drove away. Not a bad day I say... 😂 thanks for watching.
Where did you buy your alpha OBD?
It's free on the android play store or their website.
I believe people like not more than 15-20 minute videos
Different strokes for different folks
