Magic video as always mate - was back on the hills yesterday with Beinn Udlamain and Sgàirneach Mhòr, what a day it was as well.. could see for miles and miles! these two you done have been on my list for a while but any time i’ve checked the weather hasn’t been the greatest and dont want to spoil the good views there 👌
Thanks for the great comment Paul. These two are definitely worth the wait. The views I did get, gave a glimpse as to what is on offer. Utterly beautiful. You've peaked my interest in Beinn Udlamain! haha. Thanks for watching. ATB.
@@mountainspeak390 sure you’d really enjoy Beinn Udlamain too mate, great views over Loch Ericht and over to the Crianlarich munros and Glencoe (at least thats what I think i was looking at 🤣). Geal Charn and A' Mharconaich are next to them although I think I preferred Beinn Udlamain and Sgàirneach Mhòr!
Anne Marie and I done Meall a Bhuiridh in December with no views further up either. Couldn't manage Creise as the conditions wouldn't allow. For every day with no visibility there will always be those blue bird days like we had at the weekend. Top video as always mate.
Remember seeing your photos Marcus. Yeah, there is always going to be Bluebird days, we just have to get out often enough to increase our chances of getting one! ;) That's my excuse anyway. Thanks again for sticking with me. ATB
Good video . I had to abandon Creise a few years ago as it was a steep snow bank and was about 10ft from the ridge but was way out comfort zone. I will have to return one day to bag it!
I took the same route down. Couldn’t be bothered trying to negotiate those steps again. The amount of folk have issues with GoPros and batteries really put me off getting on.
To be honest mate, 90% of my vlogging is done on GoPro and for the most part they’re ok but there are occasions like this one where my frustration starts to show through. Thanks for watching mate. ATB
Had a look at these. Quite pricey! I think one or two of these may be on next winter's kit list. Hopefully the worst of the cold is behind us now. Not sure if you guys had ran into the same issue, but I think the GoPro itself may struggle in the cold. I'll need to have a look and see if there's an insulated case or something. Thanks again for watching. ATB.
@@mountainspeak390 I can't say we have run into battery issues I'm afraid although I do notice the normal battery loses power quicker than the Enduro. The GoPro handles the cold a lot better than the DJI Pocket 2 though.
@@HighlandHikers great info. I’d been looking at GoPro alternatives and the DJI had popped up. I’ll bear this in mind. 😉 it’s definitely an issue that has to be considered when filming in the cold 🥶.
Technology in the mountains Stevie! A harder battle than the climb sometimes!, Great craic, a wee whisky, moody skies and a nice wee scramble! Enjoyed that Stevie. Well done! Paul
@@PAADVENTURES1 Thanks mate. Yeah, sometimes the tech is more hassle than it's worth! Hopefully the vids that do make it through, are worth it. Thanks again for watching. ATB.

Great video, cracking walk, and an epic tech battle 👌🏻
Haha, yeah, it was a battle for sure! Fortunately the walk wasn't spoiled. Hard to spoil anything with views like that. Thanks for watching. ATB

09:50..... The wee drams not the ONLY reason I'm up the mountain.... But it is a highlight 😄
Might be worth looking at the Enduro GoPro batteries which are made to work in colder conditions so should last longer
