XTR Golf finally beat the Fiat. Congrats thats a huge feat. All of these cars are monsters in there own way. And alway lovely to hear the Audi S4 and XTR Golf engine sound in action.

Power to weight ratio FTW!!! I do time attack events & track days up n down the east coast here in the US in a rotary powered EXOCET we built & people can not understand how it's so fast & I tell em power to weight bro.
@@jdmmike7225 The golf MK2 in this video is by far the best at power/weight ratio (760-960) But really low masse like the X-19 induced low inertia and with low center of gravity,good grip and down force,you can't beat that in corner.
After he won the Oberhallau hillclimb I was hoping Roger Schnellmann & his EVO VIII built by J-Spec would be out there 😞 Congrats to Karl tho, epic win.

You should come check out some time attack events. Very similar builds built to simply run the fastest time. No need for a huge heavy fuel system, no need to worry about contact so you can go as crazy with the aero as your imagination and wallet can take you and so many classes that pretty much anything can run. Among my fleet I have a rotary powered EXOCET kit car that I do TA events & track days in & it's so fun.

The EVO was built from the factory to be a rally & race winning machine, especially the EVO RS models. With a 2L turbo 4 cylinder, viscous coupling center differential all-wheel drive system, a manual transmission in a somewhat lightweight package makes them great for tight, twisty roads while still having enough power for the straights. Also the 4G63 engine is one of the best turbo 4s ever built. The Red Demon drag car is pushing over 2000hp out of a 4G63 platform. For these same reasons just like in hillclimb they are very popular in one of the motorsports I participate in, time attack. Plus they made alot of them so they are not hard to attain. 4G63 FTW!!!

Schagerl was my fav. V8 Ferrari sounded really mean, as did the Quattro.
It took a while, but the hyper Golf is back up top. It finds almost no challengers when 100%.

Schnellmann only races Central Europe, only Schagerl going for European hillclimb championship in 2022.
