    I have owned my Level 2 for about a year and a half. I love it. The only thing I have done is to add a 3 inch riser for the handlebars and a little larger seat for a more upright ride. At nearly 70 years old I don't bend so well in my back.. This bike gets 2 thumbs up!

    I bought a Level.2 a couple of months ago, and I really love it! That said, I was torn between the Level.2 and the Aventure.2... so I took a test ride on the Aventure2, and... yep, I did. They are different bikes, and I'm enjoying the best of both worlds. I am looking into ordering their suspension seat posts to really smooth out the rides. This is a pretty good company. I gotta say, they make a really good quality eBike. One other thing: It may be a good idea to have your local eBike shop assemble it, and while you're at it - have them add tire liners to help reduce getting a flat tire.

      What was the difference in feel between the leval 2 and the aventure 2?? I am very conflicted between the two... I don't know which one to get!!! :( Thanks

    • @frankk1521
      @frankk1521 5 місяців тому +1

      Hi TF. The difference in feel occurs within the frames and tires. To me, Aventure2 is more motorcycle like, which makes it feel like it has a broader base, and feels heavier in foundation as you ride. I feel very safe while riding it, yet I opted for a size R (regular) because I felt like I had more control over it when I took it for a test ride. The L (Large) felt like a beast (and I really liked it!). It also has a slightly wider frame at the battery area; but as an older rider, and I wanted to be able to handle potential road hazards. The Level2 is more bicycle like, and feels lighter; perhaps more familiar. I purchased that one in a L (Large) size. I must say, I wish the Level2, which is a commuter bike, had turn signals... of which the Aventure2 has! Both bikes are amazing, and depending on your needs, you really can't go wrong. There is one minor thing to consider regarding the Aventure2: Replacing the tires (when they wear out) will most likely be more expensive than doing so with the Level2. That said, the shop owner of the store I bought mine from really likes his Aventure2, and it's considered Aventon's flagship bike. I'm not trying to sway you one way or another. However, if it is at all possible... try to take a test ride of both bikes; that will help in making your decision. All the best to you.@@tropicallyfit

      Hi TF, I might add that the Pedal Assist System (PAS) is the same for the Level2 and the Aventure2. That is, they are Torque Sensors (vs Cadence) which makes your riding experience feel more like a traditional bike. It's based more on the amount of force (or push) you put into your pedaling. My wife on the other hand went for a RadRunner bike which has the Cadence PAS. That system is more directly centered on signaling the PAS through pedal rotation. So as long as you're pedaling you get assist. Whereas, the Torque PAS sends assist once it detects you are having to push harder. Anyway, there are plenty of UA-cam videos out there that explain those two systems.@@tropicallyfit

      I got the level 2 a few months back and it’s by far the best e-bike I’ve ever been on. I’m 260 lbs and 6ft tall. The pedal assist is perfect. The breaks work very well. And it has enough power to make it easy for a big guy like me. It was extremely easy to put together out of the box.

    I just bought two Aventon bikes. I like them. The problem is it is next to impossible to get any customer service. I have a minor warranty issue with one. Try to email - nothing. Try to connect via their website - nothing. Tried to call - never pick up just have the hold music. I bought direct so if you buy one, get it through a dealer. The warranty is useless if they cannot be contacted.

    Wondering what you thought of the motor noise? Just bought a new level 2 step over large and went for a ride. Found compared to other electric bikes Rad, ebgo from costco for eg. the motor was whining pretty loud when assisting 1 to 5. When motor off whining stopped so for sure motor noise. Heard from your video about the same whine from your bike

    Hey @RunBikeMike, I was watching your video and spied that you are local to my hometown. I am wondering about maintenance when ordered online and your thoughts on local support.

      I know in Springfield MO Adventure Bike CO is our dealer. And they do sell and service. Unfortunately I am not sure they are super into them as they want to push people to Specialized. But they will service them if needed. Also any bike shop should be able to do any standard bike maintenance like shifting, brakes and grip. They might not service the electrical side.

    Thanks for the video, quick question, you mentioned an 18 mile ride to work that you’ve taken other bikes on with a 20 amp battery that’s almost completely drained and with this bike I think you said maybe 30 to 35% left on the battery, so the question is, in reality Most bikes will only go 18 to 25 miles on a charge?

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  Рік тому

      With full charge and going max speed with the pedal assist and a somewhat hilly route yeah you are looking at around 20 miles with most bikes. Now if you lower it to PAS 3 and not 5 and you pick a not so hilly route 30-40 is realistic.

    I rode a Giant Roam E+ on vacation in Colorado last month and loved how I could take it on paved trails as well as light off-road trails. Would the Aventon Level be a good fit for that as well, or is it more of a commuter? If the latter, do you have a bike that you would recommend that’s like the Roam but more affordable? Not sure I want a fat tire bike if I’m also going to use it for commuting.

      I just sold my Giant Yukon FX since I received the step-over Level2. Took the Level2 out on some hilly dirt trails and it pulled up some crazy steep terrain that I could not peddle up on the Yukon. Drop the Level2 in first or second gear, pedal assist 4 or 5; hardly believe it is only 500 watt motor. Only concern is the weight of these e-bikes is the maneuvering ability due to the weight. Traction was sufficient as long as not riding on really loose rock or sand. Go for the purchase! But don’t expect a free battery.
