I soldered together 5x5v200mah together. Tring something similar using a 5v3a buck converter. In sun it struggles to it 5v so its constantly dropping in and out of charge. Would adding a couple more panels help me? Im new to this
If Vdrop over diode is enough to keep the Li-ion cells from overcharging, AND if the USB circuit cuts out at around 3.3 V, then you technically don't need a BMS for a 1S2p battery setup.
Purpose of battery? As in the absence of sunlight battery of 3.7v can not charge a phone. There must be a voltage boost module between battery and phone charging socket.
