More and more Raised Roof School Bus Conversions are hitting the road! What do you think about the Cabin vibes of this tiny house?
Absolutely love this style and bus! They did a fantastic job!
This bus is one of my favorites I've seen! Love the layout and decor💖🚌
I love the layout. It is definitely not cookie cutter. You all did a great job on space.

In 1974 my husband and l with 4 year old twins finishes an already raised roof school bus that we lived in for 6 years. Still have pictures of it. My husband converted old fashioned ice box into a solar refrigerator, oil lamps to electric. We had a shower, but lived in a camp ground where they had showers and toilets. Ours looked just like a cabin inside. The kids had their own bedroom and play area in the back with the bathroom between them and the main living and kitchen area. We sleep on a pull out sofa. With a s small pot belly wood stove for hear. A hand pump for the sink water. A 1906 gas stove and oven. We had a wall between the driving area with a sliding wood door for privacy and warmth. A few years ago one of the twins ask if I still had any pictures of the bus. He said it was his favorite childhood home.
Wife is near retirement and this has made us seriously think this is our goals. Absolutely beautiful. I guess its time for me to start downsizing 😁🤗
Love is love . Living in a bus , house , car, cabin and happiness with the person you love is priceless .
I would never know this was a bus from the inside. The wood stove looks amazing!
Thank you very much! the stove is definitely our favorite..I'm kind of bummed its warming up for the year!
@@thewildernestbus3716 Don't blame you. We wood never leave that spot. Just cuddle up by the stove.
Are you able to tell it's a bus from the outside?
How is the stone holding up, driving around I would have thought it would flex to much to stay solid, did you use some special products to allow it to flex without falling off the wall? It is an awesome feature
Ok can we take a Moment to Appreciate His Gorgeous Photography 📷📷 & Beautiful Dogs..
Thank you so much!!!
Freaking incredible!
Love the bus!!! But your photography is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!
I’m a stone masons daughter and I think your fireplace is beautiful. Great job. Sweet people and sweet home. ❤️✌🏻
All the warmth of a country cabin. I think this is my favorite bus build yet.
Its definitely best one i seen so far
I agree 👍🏼
Agreed! Love the stove and rock.
Love the bathroom
Beautiful Beautiful bus.....I love it. Wish I was young again I would definitely live like y'all do. May God protect you two & enjoy life it's so short. You are very lucky & lovely couple 💑
Its never too late to start again!! thank you much!!
He's absolutely right about the composting toilet. It's really not gross and it's actually cleaner than having a black tank. We have one in our bus and we love it. Beautiful build and best of luck to this young couple.
I hate when regular toilet water hits my 🍑 eghhhhhh
Traveling showed me some people would do anything to have that 5 gallons of fresh water most americans flush everytime they take a pee. It defintely makes me feel a bit better. Maybe by the time we can afford land the idea of recycling the compost will seem less crazy haha
@@HughMadBro I now just lower the lid after using it. It also helps germs from flushing as they spread all around the bathroom.
How does that kind of composting toilet work?🤔
Gotta agree
The bus is awesome, but let's all take a moment to acknowledge his amazing photography 😍
Best design of a skoolie I've seen, and I've seen a bunch of them! Congrats on a brilliant build and aesthetic. The bathroom up front is simply so practical as to wonder why no one else has done it. It completely opens up the living area to the cabin feel. Perfection is apparently attainable!
And if you are driving and gotta pee we can switch seats real quick haha! thanks so much!!
I agree! I think the bathroom is fantastic! And so much more room than the typical bus bathroom!
I suspect that living a smaller vehicle may require making use of swiveling driver seats as lounge space but in something this big, it's GREAT to close the door on the "mudroom" as this couple has done. OH!!! that's the other thing this couple's design has - NO SIDE DOOR !!!! That adds soo much useable space !
I actually paused your video to give you guys a virtual hug! Your love story and this bus transformation is absolutely gorgeous 😍 I love how well you utilized your space and the decor makes me want to relax and travel with you. You are blessed to live this dream and to see all the beautiful sights this world beholds. Thank you also for those great visuals/photographic moments!
Thank you so so much!!
*Your skoolie actually looks like a home inside with that stove and stone fireplace*
Yes exactly especially the fireplaces!
@Opy Brook dont be a toolie, any bus that is a home can be called a skoolie ; P
I LOVE the rustic, practical feel of your skoolie 💜. It's like a cabin in the woods on wheels.
Hello Marilie how are you doing!!
thanks so much!!!!! that was our goal
Two beautiful people, living a beautiful life. May your life be as beautiful as your schoolie.
I really love the stone fireplace and full-sized stove. Inside you can't really tell you are inside a bus. Just a lovely build. Thanks for sharing. Loved the chat today too.
Hello Theresa how are you doing!+
One of my faves for sure. Finally someone with a decent sized wood stove that sits down low where the cold air is. Smart ideas for sure!
No way I was going to be feeding the stove all night. Two big hunks of locust and we are good til morning!’
This aesthetic is INSANE! you should make some rough blueprints on how you made this. I would make it the exact same
If anyone wants a similar one our friends at Cold mountain conversions build buses
@@thewildernestbus3716 Thanks!! You just saved me the trouble of rewinding to find the name. Are you from Asheville? I'm from Winston Salem, but have been to Asheville 3 times this year already. Love the bus!!
You guys are young, live, see the world have fun.
When you grow old, deal with it and remember the good days.
This is the coziest bus home I’ve seen....it’s like a cabin with all the necessities of home. Looks like it’s really comfortable to live in.
going on year two and no complaints so far!! thanks a ton!
@@thewildernestbus3716 I think this is the best alternative to living in house or apartment and you don’t have to live to work and pay off bills. An apartment nowadays is very expensive. In California 1 bedroom apartment is $2,000. It’s too much.
This is the first tiny home that I can see myself living in. Its livable!
I've seen several, near 100 bus conversion/build outs on UA-cam. This by far is the most beautiful, serene, stunning, functional yet!! To me, it just feels humble and mesmerizing. Like I wanted to come inside and be one with it. That sounds weird, but I couldn't articulate it any clearer. Thank you for presenting this amazing "nest" and a lovely couple who are Down to Earth and who come across as being extremely humble and thankful for this opportunity to love and live in harmony with nature.
Much thanks man! We really appreciate it!!!
Man this bus is sweet
To see young people so inlove, and see them into the same lifestyle and eager to strive together but ready to fall together, this is the most beautiful thing in the world and as an older female, I love to see that. Your home is magnificent.
Blessings to you both.
having the bathroom right in the front is perhaps the best bus design I've seen so far from the many bus conversions that I've seen.
May The Good Lord Bless You! Enjoy your life, and travel while you can! Have a safe & good journey through life!
I met these guys in person - super friendly and we talked about my bus build similar to theirs for a short time. Built a lot of confidence for mine, and it looked good up close too. Fantastic job
Thanks so much!! thanks for popping by and best of luck on your build!!
Did you do a similar water tank setup?
@@gormauslander My water tank is a 100 gallon, and is mounted on the back opposite of the kitchen-side wall to distribute weight better. Under the bed with the weight as low as possible
This is the most realistic thus the best bus conversion i’ve seen. Awesome job
You two are going to inspire a lot of peeps to get out and enjoy their precious lives. This is truly a home on wheels, and you guys are living life!!! Congrats on figuring shit out at your young age😉👍
Thanks so much Robert!!!
I love what you said about working your whole life to live when you are older. It never really turns out that way! You two are living the dream that I once had!
Do what makes you happy as long as your not hurting anyone or yourself if that makes any sense. This is absolutely beautiful and cozy. I wouldn’t even realize it was a schoolteacher at first in the inside. I thought it was a home. I could live there comfortably from coast to coast.
Love the bathroom/front door setup. The entire bus is awesome!
Wow!!! I am so impressed with all the young people today...they come up with away to live a beautiful life without the pressure and stress that life can create...this is something I would have loved to try if I was 45 years young...I am truly happy for you and wish you all the best in your travels and adventures!
Thank you so much!
It's not what you make its what you don't spend. You can make a lot and spend a lot or do what you guys are doing. Love your tiny home, raised roof bus.
This is an awesome bus build! So warm and cozy complete with Two GORGEOUS FURBABIES!!! 🐾❤️🐾
This young couple is awesome.
Bro, your open love for her is a rare thing anymore.
I wish the 2 of you all the best, and hope to meet yall on the road sometime
that little red dresser looks very warm and inviting....
I could actually live in a fixed tiny home like this. As long as there’s a fixed bed, dining area, good stove, toilet and shower, and lounge area. I love your bus.
Amazing.from the inside it doesnt look like a bus.especially with the door closing off the front.really nice
Love the rustic cabin vibe. Probably never see a river rock fireplace in any other build.
"Spend less and have so much more." 🙌🏽Great quote
love your design
You kids have done a great job i have a sister that is selling me her bus it is not converted so I will start on it soon I am moving back to Alaska after being gone for 24 years traveling in a bus up the alcan through Canada to Alaska is something you will never forget. God bless you kids glad to see you living your dream.
That route is on our dream list!!! Best of luck with yours!
This has now become part of my dream. This truly feels and looks like a home.
The stone fireplace was unique . . . and perfect!
Steve & Jordan, in you'als youth you have been able to accomplish much as we all have in the journey of living. When you get older that energy & drive slow down. I had a great networking of great people in my years & then it all changes over time. You have more Good-Bye's in life than you ever had before in the journey. Not to ignore the Good-Bye's I experienced in my Youth were less to have had. For 4 years I have been intensely digesting & discovering every aspect of getting a Big Box Truck or School Bus. To have the Networking you have is remarkable & a Blessing. Let me say 1st off, I am not into any Pity Parties, in the journey change. I am just stating the realities one faces & deals with later in life. Yes I have seen more UA-cam Programs & Read more on Conversions than all the Text Books I read & learned from at University & all the TV Shows & Movies at Theaters seen. I know exactly the complete Lay-Out & Design. In the early 1980's I found a Classic RV Trailer that had been sit'n in a Camp Grounds for over 20 years that was a 1957 Trailer & in 6 months had Totally Restored. For the next 2 years I enjoyed it on short get-a-ways & then when I put in for a Transfer to the South I took it with me. Only to discover my new Assignment there was no good place to park it or store it so I was faced with selling it. I am living in the 7th home in my life I have restored. Renting to me is like throwing money out a window & you really get no return on security or peace of mind in life. Growing up or Daddy taught us how to restore furniture, paint & plum'n & electrical & those seeds were planted well & have I ever learned so much throughout the decades. When it comes to Solar that is something I want to cover the roof of my new Big Box or School Bus with. To be totally Off Grid capable in all 50 States & all 5 U.S. Territories. I know that life is change. What you did with your Bathroom & Shower is Exactly how I have planned to have. Your driving down the road & the Bathroom is right in back of ya, not way down the back of one's home to get to. As you said, "mudroom in front". You'al have done an Exceptional Accomplishment in your Home Build. If I was your age again I would also have the resources to pull from. Being this is not the case I see myself having to Farm Out each process. In my Professional Life I was very connected & networked in life. What changed for me was what happened to me in less than 1 minute. I know like you'al, there are Great People who are Nomads & the Networking is amazing Out & About. I have a 100% Mission to get On The Road, I Live It & Breathe It, Smell & Eat It 24/7. It is a Calling not a, "I think I will try this for awhile". When I leave this Planet were all visiting on, I will be On The Road & not in my home veg-o-tate'n life away. Were all Born, We Live & In One Minute Or Less We Leave Planet Earth. I always tell people like myself, "I Have Disabilities But I Have Many Abilities In Life". When I Am Driving My Pick-Up Truck on any Roadways I am at total Peace. I really enjoy Driving anywhere. I look forward to more of your UA-cam Programs. I have cut down on UA-cam Viewing as I once did as there is less I need to see & more want & need to make all my journey come about. I sincerely look forward to meeting & sharing with you both one day. Safe Travels, Always, Tommy :-)
Hope you make it happen Tommy! remember its not about how fancy your rig is. if you are living the road life you are more than welcome in our circle!
Thanks for sharing your remarkable home. I think it's the best bus to home conversion I've seen on UA-cam. Your personalities show and the result is a truly beautiful home. I am a shut-in, so I love imagining still being able to get around by seeing the homes people have made. Since I can't do the wandering life, you have given me a sweet glimpse of yours. I especially love your kitchen and bathroom. Thanks from the ❤.
Best Tiny Home conversion I’ve seen yet. I would love to own this.
Love this. Bus that feels like a home.
Literally the coolest skoolie I've ever seen!!
This is an amazing couple! I wish all the best for them on their journey through life. The world needs more like them, to get inspired and go do what you love!!!
Something I live by and you kinda mentioned was " you can't always make more but you can spend less" 💯💯💯 that really has been 1 of many keys to my happiness and understanding life. We don't always have to consume more to be comfortable and find fulfillment.
Y'all Keep on Keep'n 🖤
You know it!!! stay awesome friend, hope to cross paths one day
My fav bus conversion yet!
i second that one... the BEST, im so impressed ... cant give them enough compliments on their outlay... i could so do this... and would love to do this lifestyle... Great outlook!!
This is the most beautiful place I've seen yet. Wow I wish you many many blessed years ahead. God bless you, both and all of your good friends
Things is the best bus I've seen. Great job to all.
I am sooo sooo jealous...this is a sunning build and HAS to be the best way to live!!!
My mother and sister live in N.C. so I will surely stop by and say hi and see that beautiful build.
Great job on this one Jordan and Steven! Love that you up-cycled a lot of material.
Dig their bus! I’m from Durham, NC so naturally I like these folks!! Love the rock work around the stove and in the shower. Really nice. I really like the look of the whole home!! I wish them health, happiness and safety on their travels! Enjoyed the video!
❤️💜💚
This bus is fire. Awesome design and garage storage. You’re dogs seem as cool and humble as the both of you.
Wish you the best on ur adventures!
Definitely one of nicest I’ve seen
This is very cool. Much luck with your beautiful housebus. It's amazing be blessed stay safe
The way u designed it looks so much bigger than any other I've seen. I just love it!
Bravo! Beautiful Home. Peace.
Your love and warmth is reflected in your home!!!! it was a pleasure seeing the both of you interact with each other!! God bless you!!
Those counter tops are beautiful
Wow, their bus is amazing! I would love to have a woodstove in my RV! They did a great job. Thanks for the video
Thank you!
Beautiful bus! Very well designed
Shhh this bus is probably bigger than my apartment 😂 it looks very solid and nice, my only concern would be the weight and the fuel efficiency
Probably my favorite design so far! I like the bathroom up front that way you can get by with one heater or AC unit. The full size stove and fridge is a must have I'm looking at buses now I want to be finished by next ski season!
I'll be watching y'all more. Love it.👍❤️✌️🤟
Love it - even the "cheap-make-do" stuff looks perfect
I like this bus. The interior has a log cabin feel to it. Kinda awesome that they got their friends and family to help with their home build. Definitely a great RV.
This is definitely a HOME on wheels, what more could you want, I love 💘 it
The blue paint is lovely and looks so good with the wood and stone.
I love this, it looks more like a cabin because of how the bathroom/mud room is up at the front of the bus separating the bus and the home areas of your Skoolie…. If only I could drive this would be my dream
Any idiot can drive. Many, many idiots drive every day. Many even drive these.
It's nothing to get a class that teaches driving and the bus comes in smaller sizes.
Omg its a whole community of bus living folks wow i love it!!!!
Your home is so great. It looks like a home on the inside.... your design is just amazing. Im inspired by your bus conversion. Thank you for sharing
Nice bus great couple god bless you both thanks for sharing
I've seen some really nice customer bus builds and this is my favorite bus. The space was used perfectly in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!
You are beautiful people. A real inspiration. I have spent over $1k a month on a apartment smaller and no where near as nice. Today, I started shopping for a Bus. Cheers! 🍻
Heck yeah best of luck!!
Love this build!! The interior is awesome and does not look like a bus... it has such a cozy cabin vibe with that beautiful stove/fireplace area! Super cool to have such privacy with less windows! Inside out... your home on wheels is absolutely delightful!🤗💗💗💗
Still a lot of work to keep you both busy, enjoy it’s a really nice bus
I bet it looks even cozier at night time, with all the lights dimmed. Very fine job, by all.
You know it! Thank u
You*
Beautiful Home wow this is about the best I have seen
THIS BUS is WONDERFUL/BEAUTIFUL; there are different features I LOVE: THOSE CURTAINS (!!); the rock, that deck; again…This “home-made” bus is THE BEST…CONGRATULATIONS!! 🙏👍🏼🩴👣. BTW, y’all’s attitudes are defect!! DON’T CHANGE!! 😉😉❤️👍🏼🩴👣
I have literally watched dozens and dozens of these builds. And this is hands-down one of the nicest I’ve seen. If they ever sold this bus, I would be the first in line to purchase!
I absolutely hands down love the design of this bus... And the fire place is better than most houses have...😍😍
I've seen many designs and this is one of the best designs I've seen. Enough room for everything. I'm really impressed.
Impressive build, very nice home - and a bonus: two people who know how to tell their story.
I absolutely love your bus. I look at a lot of bus conversion videos and yours is my favorite thus far. I love the rustic look, the large kitchen, the solid wood tabletops, I love the wood burning stove with the real stone walls and the large bathroom! It looks like a log cabin.
Beautiful build. Looks like a cabin from the inside. Enjoy your time on the road.
Having so few expenses is a great opportunity to either pay off past debts or build a nest egg for the future. Once one doesn't have housing expenses one is immediately wealthier. It's amazing how little one can live on and still be happy when there are fewer expenses.
you know it!!! we couldnt agree more
I love the lay out of your bus. I.m older now, so will live vicariously through you and the others. ENJOY ~~~~ I did
If I ever decide to go the schoolie way I'd like to make one exactly like yours it looks like home. GREAT JOB
Definetly the nicest bus/home that I have ever seen. I could live in there with no problem. It contains all of the features of a tiny house but with the added benefit of being able to take it with you and travel anywhere or anytime that you want.
If it was my bus/home, I would add a large TV in the living room area as well as a stackable washer and dryer.
Lovely couple too 😊
Most beautiful remodel I've ever seen to date!!!
Wow...hope this couple make it...so smart & young. The world is their oyster!
This is the most beautiful I have ever seen,,,,,love it
this one of best tiny home designs....what freedom..
