Meanwhile, due to the dynamics of how economy grew in Johor, it opens up different perspective on the property growth in Johor itself. Market demand has been a totally different compared to other states or cities in Malaysia.

I’m a Singaporean currently visiting my KL relatives here. My take is for own stay, KL properties are indeed value for money. But for investment with profit objectives, sometimes need to step back to see bigger picture - like currency strength because every asset in a country sits on top of it. But having stayed here for a few days I feel that KL is a livable city (except traffic) just like Singapore, at a lower cost and more F&B varieties unlike the highly cornered situation in Singapore where every town is probably cookie-cut of another. Hope this is a balanced view.

      Thanks for input, Allan!
Yes I do agree with you on your take for Kl props vs Sg props.
However, not everyone has access to buying Singapore’s property. So we have to craft out the best deal from Malaysia’s property.
      Thanks for watching!

Very spot on at the JB property, almost all the property ads are measuring the distance to CIQ.

Yea that’s what I realised too but indeed CIQ is very important in the Johor-Singapore relationship.
From an investment standpoint I think then definitely going for properties near CIQ would be better, safer but locations like Sunway Iskandar has actually transformed into a very liveable and a self sustaining township hence capital appreciation will occur down the road. So it depends on what is the game plan for you in that area. To stay then sell? Or to rent.
      Thanks for watching!

Thinking in short term is OK but otherwise the Forest City will be considered and rebuilt by the government in the near future also on the long-term population is increasing and they need accommodation to live and stay which will be more expensive than today

Agreed, so in the end it depends on how many Malaysians will be working in Singapore in the future , if it keeps increasing then I think no doubt the spillover effect will happen in Johor Bahru.

@@Natalie_Chu-SG Let say you buy 1-million-ringgit housing (foreign price). And due to the depreciation of Ringgit, every month your commitment will be lesser.
