- Day 33 - Friday 4th October - O’Cebreiro to Triacastela- 21.7km
An incredibly beautiful day in the mountains with some epic views. There were lots of small agricultural villages, each with their own tiny stone church/chapel.
The path was very pretty today and the surface was excellent. Several steep “up’s” and the very long “down” at the end of the day.
I had a ‘moment’ while walking alone in the downward stretch today and felt a bit light headed and wobbly. Only one more walking day until my rest day in Sarria and my body is definitely hinting that this is needed.
I can’t believe that Sarria is only a day away and that the home stretch is in sight!
Glad to hear your at your place of rest.. you have been an amazing trouper, sleep well 😴
Thank you so much!
Well done. Tough. But, you're doing the right things. Strange how people get effected at different times and in different ways. Your body could never be used to doing what you are now putting it through. Rest when you can.
So glad the robins pop by to say hello.
You are doing brilliantly. Keep enjoying the whole experience!!!
Good luck 🤞👍
Thank you so much for the supportive comment.
Good walking. I'm sorry to see you were unwell, just cooked foods and ɓottled water, and the Snicker bar was a good idea. Sarria is a nice place to stop. It's hard now, but I see you are walking well. Consider a leg and foot massage in the evening. Enjoy, they are precious moments now. Regards PJ
I’m really looking forward to my rest in Sarria. Thank you for your advice.
Oh dear! Hope you’re feeling better after a strenuous day.
Thanks so much for your ongoing interest :-)
Fortunately, you were on the downhill when things started going wrong. Do you tske a daily magnesium supplement?
No, I don’t take any supplements ;-(
Big day of walking. Hope you’re feeling better.
Thank you for your kind wishes :-)
Hope you feel much better tomorrow- there is always the taxi option if you are unwell, but have to move on. Please look after yourself!
Thank you for your kind comment.
