Day 6 - Camino Frances - Puente la Reina to Estella

Day 6 - Wednesday 4 September - Puente la Reina to Estella 24km
Today started badly. My foot was aching badly after I had rolled it on a rock on the dodgy path yesterday. After 5km I sat down at a cafe as my foot was throbbing, my flabby upper arms were chafing against my pack, my hair felt hot and uncomfortable on my neck in the high humidity and I was out of sorts. However after being coke zeroed, panadoled, putting on my sun arms, blowing my nose and tying back my hair into the world’s shortest ponytail… I set off again feeling much better and enjoyed most of the day. Some good company from another pilgrim kept me going for the last 5km as my foot shouted loudly that it was time to stop. We will see what tomorrow brings… it may be a taxi!

It's important to remember that there will be good and bad days on the Camino ... so, take it one day at a time! Oh, I remember the many bridges on the Camino (I may have photographed each and every one we saw 😉). It's amazing how the company of fellow pilgrims happens at the right time in the right place! Good luck with your sore foot!
