Cracking video as always Sam. I've been to a few grounds myself now off the back of seeing your videos and being inspired. If you feel like exploring North Wales again, I can highly recommend a visit to Conwy Borough FC and Colwyn Bay too. I paid an impromptu visit to both last week and got in both for a good look around. Keep the vids coming!
Amazing video mate 👍 Nice to see the Welsh system getting featured and cheers for making the effort to pronounce some of the clubs original names in Welsh. More effort than some of those who come from my hometown 👍
The story with Rhyl is that I believe they went into administration (perhaps around Covid time, maybe before). As a result a Phoenix club was created, named CPD Y Rhyl 1879. However, they do still play at the stadium you visited.

Another class video lad 👌☘️ I enjoy comparing such leagues to my own, the league of Ireland, our two countries representatives often compete in Europe which is always good craic. 🍻
Nice to see some of our clubs here, fun little video. You might like to venture further west and see some two of our most scenic clubs - which are in my opinion, Bala Town, and Newtown FC. The scenery around them is just breathtaking, and there's nothing quite like getting ready to watch the game, with the early winter dusting of snow on the hills nearby. Worth a look as well, is Barry Town's enormous stadium!
I'd recommend you come to Colwyn Bay FC. Newly promoted to the Cymru Prem, and the best supported team in the Welsh leagues ( really). Brand new 1000 seater stand just completed, taking our seats up to 1800. Lovely ground, great club and a huge story ( exiled to England for 2 years for not joining the League of Wales.) I'm a season ticket holder and we have an amazing travelling support as well as great home crowds at Welsh leagues level.
good video Sam. Pity you didn't go to Rhydymwyn FC a couple of miles from Mold Alex. Good little club with nice facilities and a good history. Also would have enjoyed you trying getting your tongue around that name.
Rhyl 1879 (Welsh: Clwb Pêl Droed Y Rhyl 1879) is a Welsh football club based in Rhyl in Denbighshire, Wales. The team currently play in the Ardal NW, which is at the third tier of the Welsh football league system. They are a phoenix club, established following Rhyl FC's formal dissolution in April 2020

The last match I attended was in Wales. It was Llanidloes Town, as a friend lived nearby! 🙂 I haven't been to another match since, due to Covid and other reasons. Though I'm hoping to do my own non-league ground hopping, as of next season!
I was at Flint way back in October 2009. A couple of years later I saw Colwyn Bay host Bradford (Park Avenue) - not a team they'd be likely to face these days! I also attended a bunch of games at Farrar Road before it became a supermarket and have been to Bastion Gardens in Prestatyn at least twice. More recently I've been to see a Welsh Cup tie at Y Felinheli and the last regular season home game for Caernarfon Town season just gone. Both highly recommended, but maybe research how to pronounce the former before visiting! 😜
Hi Sam great to see you in North Wales if you come down again you can easy do Colwyn bay, llysfaen, Llandudno, Llandudno junction, glan Conwy, llanrwst , betws y coed ,Bangor Caernafon. The first translation of the Bible into Welsh was done by Bishop Morgan of St Asaph's Cathedral, some great history. Thankyou for doing these videos.
If you are still down in Wales, hope you've been able to watch the Queen's Park v Dundee match online or on TV. 3-3 at half time and I'm sure there'll be more goals in the 2nd half.
I believe the runway at Chester Hawarden is at the other end of the stadium and you can see the planes land or taxi past the ground and the original team worked for Airbus when they first started
Enjoyed the video. Good day out for you would be to visit the six Welsh clubs that have at some point taken part in the ELF. Cardiff City, Swansea City (Town), Newport County, Wrexham, Merthyr Town, Aberdare Athletic. Newport, my local team, are a reformed club while Aberdare Athletic have had a name changes / merges.
