It’s such a cool idea, and the SIM card storage as well for people who have multiple. Although I wouldn’t like to be removing the case every day, it is actually quite hard to get it out 😂
I am a UK viewer and enjoyed the video. I believe the speckled case has a better grip than the Aramid Fibre. One thing bugs me: do the magnets in the case influence the operation of the compass on the iPhone. I use the compass a lot (though always carry a second one) and the magnetic clasp on a previous case caused faulty readings, so I had to return it. Would welcome your comments. Many thanks.

Totally agree, it's about 60g more or less so take that into account. But yes, when it comes to protection this case is incredible. Not related to Mous case....but does the iPhone 12 pro max, on its own (without any magsafe cases), support the magsafe charger in regards to its magnetic alignment for wireless charging?

I had the exact same question and by watching other videos I discovered that yes it does support the magsafe charger, the only thing is that it wont 'grip' as hard to non-Apple cases as they don't have the element. It will charge the phone as normal but just not grip as hard. Given this case actually does have some magnetic plates inside it it's likely it will work better than other cases but I will only be able to confirm that on Friday when my 12 Pro Max arrives ;-) thanks for watching! 🙏
I've heard others say that this case is very tight on the phone and in this video it looked hard to get the phone out of the case. Could it potentially scuff the sides of the phone if taking it in and out of the case nearly everyday? I do love the aesthetics of this case though, it looks stylish whilst also being protective. I'll probably end up getting both the walnut and fibre 😜 I'm going try and stay away from screen protectors. They just ruin the experience for me and the iPhone 12 is apparently no worse scratch resistant than the iPhone 11. Which is great as my wife's phone still looks great without a screen protector and I look after my stuff. Anyways, great video man. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Hi there and thanks for the kind words! This case is probably the hardest case to get in and out of the phone but it has just about enough give to do so. I am already using it on the 12 Pro Max and loving the feel of it. It’s slightly more grippier than the previous version as well which is great. I’ve used it for a year on the 11 Pro Max and my phone is exactly as it was when it was new, not much dust gets in with this case so no scuffs or scratches at all. I might be slightly biased on this case 😂 but yes, I’m confident to recommend it. New video on it coming out soon with their wallet accessories so stay tuned 😉 have a great weekend!

I remember buying the iPhone 4, partly because it was supposed to have a screen made from the same glass used for helicopter wind screens........then I started to see people within smashed iPhone screens! I’ve aways used a screen protector since (except for my Apple watches which have always had sapphire screens). ESR do one with a frame that clips temporarily on the phone in order to make the application accurate although I will endeavour to get a Mous version to try at some point.
haha yes, I remember that phone! I still have the 4S I think. Really scratchy screen and guaranteed to smash at the slightest drop! I tried a few screen protects here on the channel, another favourite of mine is the 3D impact by Rhinoshield, it had a curved edge so not so abrupt feeling around the edge when using the swiping gestures. For the Samsung I just tried the Whitestone protector which came with a rocket launcher 😂 I am exaggerating but it came with a machine that installs the protector automatically. Really good too but not sure I can be bothered again...

Been using mous for 4 years or so and swear by them. Phones have taken some nasty calls and walked away every time. Have a limitless and clarity for my 12 pro but wish they would release contour. That was perfect case. It was a limitless without magnets

I currently have the contour on my XR (yes it’s an 11 case but the oversized camera window is no problem). I love the rounded edges that make the case feel so comfortable to hold. According to Mous’ website the 12’s Limitless is slimmer than the contour so I’m gonna give this a try. But if they release a contour I’ll be all over that
I know you talked about the side of the case but could you confirm that the edge of the case is in fact easy to grip? I am having issues with cases being to slippery and i like know i have a good a grip on my phone. Thanks for the great video!
Yes I did other videos on this case, this was the first one I did. For me this is pretty grippy debut for extra grip I’d go for their leather version, check out the video I did on that, it’s pretty decent 👊🏼
How slim is the case, does it make the phone more bulky at least for the 11 pro max for you and do the sides feel like are they hard plastic or rubber like. Is it slimmer than the apple cases and still keep the boxy design? Great review btw.

Sorry I missed this comment, my notifications stopped working (thanks Toutube!) right, this case is not the slimmest to be honest but I feel 100% confident when I drop my phone (11 Pro max) and I have dropped it several times in the last year 😂 , but yeah my heart doesn’t stop when I drop it. The sides feel very premium, and slightly better now on the 12 as it’s flatter and more “Matte” if you know what I mean, it feels grippier than before, but it rubbery or plastic-y 😂 yeah, feels very premium. It turns out the Mous magnets are directed away from the phone in order to connect well with their accessories. So in theory they shouldn't interfere with each other. Time will tell I guess! Just received my Mous case for my 12 pro max and I realised there is this sort of gap between the cases and the phone . Like I can see some part of the golden metal of the phone at the side as well as the top of the phone . Do your Mous case has the same issue as mine ? Anyway great video and thanks for the review .

I’ve responded on the other video but here it is just in case 😊 I think the Mous case is better for protection and the Spigen is better for convenience with the card slot. If you are looking into the Mous case I would recommend looking at their other materials (links in description) as the aramid fibre is not as grippy as it used to be. I have one now but I’m very worried about the camera since I feel like if I would drop it on a bumpy floor, the cameras would be scratched and I don’t like it so can anyone explain if this is a big issue

The camera recess is actually quite good on this case. and I dropped my phone on rustic surfaces before with no issues. @@AlexGTech I admire Spigen's ability to produce cheap & reliable cases, their stuff just isn't to my taste. I really like Nomad's Rugged Armor case, as well as OtterBox's new Defender for the 12 Series, they're slimmed down a lot compared to previous years. Take care!
The leather one I had for the 11 Pro Max did yes, especially with jeans marks, quite dark around the corners. I have to say the Mous is much better for protection, but in terms of looks the Apple MagSafe does look good. If you’re going for Apple silicone cases I’d say get a screen protector as well (I did a couple of videos on them). Hope this helps! Have. A great rest of weekend! 🙏🏽
Yes it's always a risk with leather but some may say it's "by design" and the darker shades add to its character. I still like my leather case from Apple but yes, it doesn't look very clean now after a year 😂

Hi Coen, it's real Aramid fibre at the back and hard plastic around the case. They also use a cushioning around the case branded AiroShock, it's a bit like soft rubber (the green lining you can see inside the case) around 9:52. Hi there! Yes at the time of recording I hadn’t received it but on my latest video you can see a few snippets, but I’m summary: it’s not great! I mean, it charges the phone but: - not as fast as MagSafe cases - the grip just doesn’t work really, so it behaves more like a wireless charger rather than MagSafe. Would you recommend this carbon fibre model over their clarity case? It shows the colour of the phone from the back but doesn’t have the storage or the auto-align, or overall sturdiness. Thoughts?
I think for protection this one of their best cases. I haven't tried their clear case yet but the storage and auto-align features are really only important if you have Mous accessories. It didnt really help with MagSafe at all. so if looks are important to you (and trust me I miss looking at the colour gold that ordered! 😂) then the clear case might be a good option, unless you really want the auto-align and/or extra storage. Not sure the clear case has an opening for a wristband? that is another feature you get with the aramid fibre. Hope this helps! 👊

Think I might have to try the Mous case. I've dropped my 12 Pro Max twice, and both times it's damaged the Apple silicone case and the phone itself. They aren't protective at all
Definitely the right move! I’ve had Mous cases for my previous iPhones and can’t complain. Was able to sell my 11 pro Max above the usual price as it was in pristine condition, so definitely worth it. Have a look at the 4.0 version as well as it’s quite different to 3.0. I did a video on that too, a couple of weeks ago 👊🏽

I don't use a lens protector, I think with Mous there is enough of a protection around the camera module. Of course, if you drop it on a rocky surface, it's gonna be a problem but I am cool with that

Hey Varun, no worries at all! The leather option has a bit more grip for me. The Aramid fiber is nicer looking but the back is less grippy than the leather one. The grip on the side is the same on both though. For ultimate grip the Speckled leather one is the best for me, but I know the looks don’t suit everyone (including me 😂)

Hi there, great question thanks for checking it out. I don’t have a Moment case actually, but in terms of bulky vs the 11 case, it’s actually a little bit thinner! When I lay them both flat the 12 Pro Max case sits ever so slightly lower than the 11 case! Might do a side by side comparison when I get the 12 pro phone on Friday and showing that slight difference.
the craziest thing i found out about the Mous Limitless 3.0 for my 12 PM is that it keeps dust and dirt away better than the Lifeproof NEXT...Ironic isnt it?
Haha yeah that's incredible! They are very tight and that interior lining on the 3.0 really makes it feel nice and protected as well as clean. I've just done a new video in the 4.0 version, it's only been a few weeks but so far so good too!
@@AlexGTech but the inside doesnt have microfibre lining...might as well get the Rhinoshield Solidsuit at half the price. The microfibre lining is useful for those who use air vent mounts so it kinda absorbs the condensation instead of letting it run around inside the case.just my 2 cents though.

@@stevenr3544 I got my 12 max pro over the 11 pro max simply because I got the change to get it as a free upgrade. Also selling a 12 instead of an 11 will yield more money to upgrade to a future device! But I agree with you. 12 pro max is nothing special compared to 11 pro max. I also think it’s worst as it’s really sluggish and it keeps having this delay effect when I swipe up to exit an app where it opens the menu to close apps which is so annoying. With a research online though also 11 pro users have this issue (I didn’t have it with my 11 pro max) so I guess it’s a hit or miss hardware issue!

Hiya, thanks for watching! And great question, I think you mean the Mous Contour case. I can only compare with the Apple leather case which offers slightly grippier feel than this case. But the Mous case for the 12 Pro max seems grippier than the previous 11 case, the matte finish on the side is slightly grippier for sure. I might try the Mous Countour leather case and do another video on it soon! 👊🏾

@@teugene I see! It will definitely be the leather as the back of the Aramid Fibre is very smooth and only offers grip on the sides whereas the black leather will have grip on the back in addition to the sides

Hi Alon, thanks for the question and it depends on the accessory. It will not work with the MagSafe wallet accessory but it will work fine with the charger. Hey no worries at all, yes just got it last week and whilst it charges normally I have to say, I’m not happy with the charger itself. Cable is way too short and if you’re trying to use the phone while charging it’s a bit of a faff. But it does seem to charge very quickly. Hi there! As that is done internally I don’t believe it can. I will have to double check but there is no movement at all in the case so as far as the sensor is concerned it’s the same as without a case. According to Mous the magnetic field is made to ensure a good connection with their own accessories so probably have the right direction but I will need to double check. Actually I have a video coming up where I test the stabilisation of the 12 Pro Max and I am using a the Mous during the test, as far as I can tell the stabilisation is amazing and much better than the 11 Pro Max I am comparing with and not impacted by the case but your question is a good one! Hi there, it does indeed! It's only slightly rounded at the edges but nowhere near as round as the 11 Pro Max version, Mous seem to have managed to keep the design true to the 12 Pro Max design. May I know if the aramid fibre is a fingerprint magnet for oily hands like mine? 😅 I have a carbon fibre thin case for my phone at the moment and it just attracts so much fingerprint kinda looks messy IMO. Thank you for anyone who can answer. :)
Yes, the 4.0 version is definitely more fingerprint magnet than this version 3.0. I also have very oily hands and the 3.0 was actually not too bad for me. If you want to check out the leather version of the 4.0 I did a video on that too. Absolutely no fingerprints on that 😉 and a bit more grippy, so the leather is now my favourite 👊
Love the case but MagSafe don‘t work! Price is a shame without working MagSafe. Ive got the limitless 3.0 carbon optic for my 12 Mini. MagSafe Car holder & charger only works without the case. Same with Anker charger powerwave magnetic 2 in 1. The 4 small magnets are complete useless. It only holds the case without iphone 12 mini on a Metal plate. Wait already 2 days for a response from mous.
Hi there, yes the limitless cases only work well with Mous own accessories 😞 MagSafe works but only on a table but barely connects and takes a while (I did a video on this comparing to RhinoShield) If you are after an alternative case that has similar protection and has proper MagSafe connection look at 'Pitaka Mag EZ Pro 2'. Hi Blaine, it feels great for me as I’ve used this very case on my 11 Pro Max. It’s actually grippier than the 11 Pro Max case on the sides, they managed to improve the grip there. The only thing I’d say is that the back on the aramid fibre is very flat and super smooth so not much grip at all for fingers at the back. I’m used to it but some people don’t like that. For me it’s a great case and they use real materials rather than plastic but if you want extra grip checkout their other models (I’ve put some links on the description here for you). this 3.0 version will work with Mous accessories for cars. If you care about MagSafe, then I would recommend going for the 4.0 as that will work with other accessories, not just Mous (I did a video on that too, link below) in the description.
Hi there, thanks for the question. I have looked at Rhinoshield cases before but never tested them myself. On paper they have similar drop test results but all I can say is that I’ve used the Mous case on my 11 Pro Max since October last year and the durability is incredible. I am very clumsy and drop my phone a lot 😂 but the case is almost as new! I think I will have to do a comparison between the two as other viewers have asked the same question, so stay tuned 😉. hi there, I haven't tried the Otterbox Defender before. To be honest with you, Mous are amazing in terms of protection, they saved my phone (and my walet) several times last year with the 11 Pro Max, I keep dropping phones, way too clumsy! the only other case that comes close to it in my opinion is the Pitaka Pro 2 but that adds quite a bit more bulk to be honest.
Hi there Brett, it is certainly thicker (not by much) than the comparable Rhinoshield SolidSuit.when it comes to being bulky, it is actually not that bad, they managed to the the flat sides to be quite snug to the phone. Great time for the question as I have both and am doing a review (realesing tonight!). I have also made a video on Mous accessories which shows me putting the case in my pocket. As you will be able to see, it's a big un 😂 but it's more down to the phone itself I think. I am used to this case since the 11 Pro Max so for me it's ok, but if you are not used to it, it may feel quite big to start with. Hi there, that is a good question. Unfortunately I could't test 5G myself as that is not available in my area. In addition to that I would only be able to report on UK 5G which will be different to the US/Japan and a couple o other countries. In the UK we don't have the mmWave antenna on the 12 Pro Max (sadly) as the 5G spectrum for that is not going to be available anytime soon over here. Sorry a bit long winded answer 😂 but the short of it is I don't know. I thought it comes with the strap turns out you have to separately purchase it. I was fooled by one of the reviewers thanks to him. Because of that, I did not receive free shipping, not a bundle up discount nor the 20% discount on the total that I would have got if I ordered them together. Lol.

Hi there, firstly thanks for watching! The aramid fibre is probably the most slippery of the Mous cases (I like it but it is quite a smooth surface at the back) For more grip, I'd consider their other materials (check links in the description, their walnut is 🔥and they have a few others, all real material). With regards to stand, I'm afraid Mous don't seem to have one but I can share other options I'd recommend, will send you a couple of links tomorrow. cheers 👊

I just got mine mous for 12 pro max yesterday, i just noticed that on the back of the case there is a small gap between the camera part and the aramid fiber. Actually I can see the magnet under the aramid fiber. Do u have the same issue? I've returned the case and ordered from another shop. I received a new one earlier today, but unfortunately, same issue.

thanks for pointing this out, I just checked my end and under the light when is flat you can definitely see a little bit of the magnet between the aramid fibre finish and the camera module. So will let Mous know and definitely pick this up on my next video, thanks so much for pointing this out!

Hey Daniel, thank you! Mous protection is second to none but this specific case (in aramid fibre) is quite slippery due to the material being so smooth at the back. The sides are ok and I’ve used it on my 11 Pro Max for a year so I’m kinda used to how it feels. I would recommend you check out their other models as some other viewers have reported the exact same about this aramid fibre version (not being too grippy). I’ve got links in the description to their other models as well if you want to check them out. Whatever case you go with, for the 12 pro max I’d also recommend a screen protector. I never used one before but this new ‘ceramic shield’ on the iPhone 12 is prone to scratching. I’ve reviewed RhinoShield, Mous and Casetify screen protectors here on the channel too. Hope this helps! the case for them are quite similar bit the 12 Pro max is definitely bigger, you can see at around 5:30 on the video how little space there is for the new phone so even though is bigger, its not by much. thanks for watching! It helps with something called “torsion” which is basically a fancy word for “twisting” when the phone is dropped. That twisting force is usually what breaks the screen so these edges help reduce that 👊🏼

Hi David, that's a great question. One I should be trying out on Friday when the device arrives. The camera cutout is *a lot* larger on this case, assuming to allow the Lidar to work well and there is no obstruction "camera lips" that would impact lighting so I expect the camera sensors to be absolutely fine. It’s such a cool idea, and the SIM card storage as well for people who have multiple. Although I wouldn’t like to be removing the case every day, it is actually quite hard to get it out 😂
I am a UK viewer and enjoyed the video. I believe the speckled case has a better grip than the Aramid Fibre. One thing bugs me: do the magnets in the case influence the operation of the compass on the iPhone. I use the compass a lot (though always carry a second one) and the magnetic clasp on a previous case caused faulty readings, so I had to return it. Would welcome your comments. Many thanks.

Totally agree, it's about 60g more or less so take that into account. But yes, when it comes to protection this case is incredible. Not related to Mous case....but does the iPhone 12 pro max, on its own (without any magsafe cases), support the magsafe charger in regards to its magnetic alignment for wireless charging?

I had the exact same question and by watching other videos I discovered that yes it does support the magsafe charger, the only thing is that it wont 'grip' as hard to non-Apple cases as they don't have the element. It will charge the phone as normal but just not grip as hard. Given this case actually does have some magnetic plates inside it it's likely it will work better than other cases but I will only be able to confirm that on Friday when my 12 Pro Max arrives ;-) thanks for watching! 🙏
I've heard others say that this case is very tight on the phone and in this video it looked hard to get the phone out of the case. Could it potentially scuff the sides of the phone if taking it in and out of the case nearly everyday?
I do love the aesthetics of this case though, it looks stylish whilst also being protective. I'll probably end up getting both the walnut and fibre 😜
I'm going try and stay away from screen protectors. They just ruin the experience for me and the iPhone 12 is apparently no worse scratch resistant than the iPhone 11. Which is great as my wife's phone still looks great without a screen protector and I look after my stuff.

Hi there and thanks for the kind words! This case is probably the hardest case to get in and out of the phone but it has just about enough give to do so. I am already using it on the 12 Pro Max and loving the feel of it. It’s slightly more grippier than the previous version as well which is great. I’ve used it for a year on the 11 Pro Max and my phone is exactly as it was when it was new, not much dust gets in with this case so no scuffs or scratches at all. I remember buying the iPhone 4, partly because it was supposed to have a screen made from the same glass used for helicopter wind screens........then I started to see people within smashed iPhone screens! I’ve aways used a screen protector since (except for my Apple watches which have always had sapphire screens).
ESR do one with a frame that clips temporarily on the phone in order to make the application accurate although I will endeavour to get a Mous version to try at some point.
haha yes, I remember that phone! I still have the 4S I think. Really scratchy screen and guaranteed to smash at the slightest drop! I tried a few screen protects here on the channel, another favourite of mine is the 3D impact by Rhinoshield, it had a curved edge so not so abrupt feeling around the edge when using the swiping gestures. For the Samsung I just tried the Whitestone protector which came with a rocket launcher 😂 I am exaggerating but it came with a machine that installs the protector automatically. Really good too but not sure I can be bothered again...

Been using mous for 4 years or so and swear by them. Phones have taken some nasty calls and walked away every time. Have a limitless and clarity for my 12 pro but wish they would release contour. That was perfect case. It was a limitless without magnets

I currently have the contour on my XR (yes it’s an 11 case but the oversized camera window is no problem). I love the rounded edges that make the case feel so comfortable to hold. According to Mous’ website the 12’s Limitless is slimmer than the contour so I’m gonna give this a try. But if they release a contour I’ll be all over that

Yes I did other videos on this case, this was the first one I did. For me this is pretty grippy debut for extra grip I’d go for their leather version, check out the video I did on that, it’s pretty decent 👊🏼

Sorry I missed this comment, my notifications stopped working (thanks Toutube!) right, this case is not the slimmest to be honest but I feel 100% confident when I drop my phone (11 Pro max) and I have dropped it several times in the last year 😂 , but yeah my heart doesn’t stop when I drop it. The sides feel very premium, and slightly better now on the 12 as it’s flatter and more “Matte” if you know what I mean, it feels grippier than before, but it rubbery or plastic-y 😂 yeah, feels very premium. It turns out the Mous magnets are directed away from the phone in order to connect well with their accessories. So in theory they shouldn't interfere with each other. Time will tell I guess! Just received my Mous case for my 12 pro max and I realised there is this sort of gap between the cases and the phone . Like I can see some part of the golden metal of the phone at the side as well as the top of the phone . Do your Mous case has the same issue as mine ? Anyway great video and thanks for the review .

I have one now but I’m very worried about the camera since I feel like if I would drop it on a bumpy floor, the cameras would be scratched and I don’t like it so can anyone explain if this is a big issue
Hi Alejandro! I am so sorry it took me so long to respond! Not sure what happened there! The camera recess is actually quite good on this case. and I dropped my phone on rustic surfaces before with no issues. Does your Apple Red leather case grow really dark? Mous magnet vs Apple magsafe which do you prefer?
The leather one I had for the 11 Pro Max did yes, especially with jeans marks, quite dark around the corners. I have to say the Mous is much better for protection, but in terms of looks the Apple MagSafe does look good. If you’re going for Apple silicone cases I’d say get a screen protector as well (I did a couple of videos on them). Hope this helps! Have. A great rest of weekend! 🙏🏽

Yes it's always a risk with leather but some may say it's "by design" and the darker shades add to its character. I still like my leather case from Apple but yes, it doesn't look very clean now after a year 😂

Is that case authentic carbon fibre?
Hi Coen, it's real Aramid fibre at the back and hard plastic around the case. They also use a cushioning around the case branded AiroShock, it's a bit like soft rubber (the green lining you can see inside the case) around 9:52. Hi there! Yes at the time of recording I hadn’t received it but on my latest video you can see a few snippets, but I’m summary: it’s not great! I mean, it charges the phone but:
- not as fast as MagSafe cases
- the grip just doesn’t work really, so it behaves more like a wireless charger rather than MagSafe.

Would you recommend this carbon fibre model over their clarity case? It shows the colour of the phone from the back but doesn’t have the storage or the auto-align, or overall sturdiness. Thoughts?
I think for protection this one of their best cases. I haven't tried their clear case yet but the storage and auto-align features are really only important if you have Mous accessories. It didnt really help with MagSafe at all. so if looks are important to you (and trust me I miss looking at the colour gold that ordered! 😂) then the clear case might be a good option, unless you really want the auto-align and/or extra storage. Not sure the clear case has an opening for a wristband? that is another feature you get with the aramid fibre. Hope this helps! 👊

Think I might have to try the Mous case. I've dropped my 12 Pro Max twice, and both times it's damaged the Apple silicone case and the phone itself. They aren't protective at all

Definitely the right move! I’ve had Mous cases for my previous iPhones and can’t complain. Was able to sell my 11 pro Max above the usual price as it was in pristine condition, so definitely worth it. Have a look at the 4.0 version as well as it’s quite different to 3.0. I did a video on that too, a couple of weeks ago 👊🏽

I don't use a lens protector, I think with Mous there is enough of a protection around the camera module. Of course, if you drop it on a rocky surface, it's gonna be a problem but I am cool with that

Hey Varun, no worries at all! The leather option has a bit more grip for me. The Aramid fiber is nicer looking but the back is less grippy than the leather one. The grip on the side is the same on both though. For ultimate grip the Speckled leather one is the best for me, but I know the looks don’t suit everyone (including me 😂)

Hi there, great question thanks for checking it out. I don’t have a Moment case actually, but in terms of bulky vs the 11 case, it’s actually a little bit thinner! When I lay them both flat the 12 Pro Max case sits ever so slightly lower than the 11 case! Might do a side by side comparison when I get the 12 pro phone on Friday and showing that slight difference.

Haha yeah that's incredible! They are very tight and that interior lining on the 3.0 really makes it feel nice and protected as well as clean. I've just done a new video in the 4.0 version, it's only been a few weeks but so far so good too!
@@AlexGTech but the inside doesnt have microfibre lining...might as well get the Rhinoshield Solidsuit at half the price. The microfibre lining is useful for those who use air vent mounts so it kinda absorbs the condensation instead of letting it run around inside the case.just my 2 cents though.

@@stevenr3544 I got my 12 max pro over the 11 pro max simply because I got the change to get it as a free upgrade. Also selling a 12 instead of an 11 will yield more money to upgrade to a future device! But I agree with you. 12 pro max is nothing special compared to 11 pro max. I also think it’s worst as it’s really sluggish and it keeps having this delay effect when I swipe up to exit an app where it opens the menu to close apps which is so annoying. With a research online though also 11 pro users have this issue (I didn’t have it with my 11 pro max) so I guess it’s a hit or miss hardware issue!

Hiya, thanks for watching! And great question, I think you mean the Mous Contour case. I can only compare with the Apple leather case which offers slightly grippier feel than this case. But the Mous case for the 12 Pro max seems grippier than the previous 11 case, the matte finish on the side is slightly grippier for sure. I might try the Mous Countour leather case and do another video on it soon! 👊🏾

Will the magnets in the case mess up with magsafe?
Hi Alon, thanks for the question and it depends on the accessory. It will not work with the MagSafe wallet accessory but it will work fine with the charger. The connection is not as strong as Apple’s own cases but be aware that the MagSafe wallet from Apple won’t work. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 👊🏽

Hey no worries at all, yes just got it last week and whilst it charges normally I have to say, I’m not happy with the charger itself. Cable is way too short and if you’re trying to use the phone while charging it’s a bit of a faff. But it does seem to charge very quickly. Am doing a video on it very soon testing with this and other cases so stay tuned 😉

Will it affect the optical image stabilisation of the phone?
Hi there! As that is done internally I don’t believe it can. I will have to double check but there is no movement at all in the case so as far as the sensor is concerned it’s the same as without a case. According to Mous the magnetic field is made to ensure a good connection with their own accessories so probably have the right direction but I will need to double check.
Actually I have a video coming up where I test the stabilisation of the 12 Pro Max and I am using a the Mous during the test, as far as I can tell the stabilisation is amazing and much better than the 11 Pro Max I am comparing with and not impacted by the case but your question is a good one! I will have to compare the same footage with and without the case to be 100% sure. Stay tuned for that 👊🏽

Hi there, it does indeed! It's only slightly rounded at the edges but nowhere near as round as the 11 Pro Max version, Mous seem to have managed to keep the design true to the 12 Pro Max design. Yes, the 4.0 version is definitely more fingerprint magnet than this version 3.0. I also have very oily hands and the 3.0 was actually not too bad for me. If you want to check out the leather version of the 4.0 I did a video on that too. Absolutely no fingerprints on that 😉 and a bit more grippy, so the leather is now my favourite 👊
Love the case but MagSafe don‘t work!
Price is a shame without working MagSafe. Ive got the limitless 3.0 carbon optic for my 12 Mini.
MagSafe Car holder & charger only works without the case.
Same with Anker charger powerwave magnetic 2 in 1.
The 4 small magnets are complete useless. It only holds the case without iphone 12 mini on a Metal plate.

Hi there, yes the limitless cases only work well with Mous own accessories 😞 MagSafe works but only on a table but barely connects and takes a while (I did a video on this comparing to RhinoShield) If you are after an alternative case that has similar protection and has proper MagSafe connection look at 'Pitaka Mag EZ Pro 2'. How does it feel in the hand, is it grippy , won’t slip out hands?
Hi Blaine, it feels great for me as I’ve used this very case on my 11 Pro Max. It’s actually grippier than the 11 Pro Max case on the sides, they managed to improve the grip there.
The only thing I’d say is that the back on the aramid fibre is very flat and super smooth so not much grip at all for fingers at the back. I’m used to it but some people don’t like that. For me it’s a great case and they use real materials rather than plastic but if you want extra grip checkout their other models (I’ve put some links on the description here for you). this 3.0 version will work with Mous accessories for cars. If you care about MagSafe, then I would recommend going for the 4.0 as that will work with other accessories, not just Mous (I did a video on that too, link below) in the description.

Hi there, thanks for the question. I have looked at Rhinoshield cases before but never tested them myself. On paper they have similar drop test results but all I can say is that I’ve used the Mous case on my 11 Pro Max since October last year and the durability is incredible. I am very clumsy and drop my phone a lot 😂 but the case is almost as new! I think I will have to do a comparison between the two as other viewers have asked the same question, so stay tuned 😉. How would you compare protection level between this and Otterbox Defender (they no longer have an integrated screen)?
hi there, I haven't tried the Otterbox Defender before. To be honest with you, Mous are amazing in terms of protection, they saved my phone (and my walet) several times last year with the 11 Pro Max, I keep dropping phones, way too clumsy! the only other case that comes close to it in my opinion is the Pitaka Pro 2 but that adds quite a bit more bulk to be honest.
Is this case very thick and bulky?
Hi there Brett, it is certainly thicker (not by much) than the comparable Rhinoshield SolidSuit.when it comes to being bulky, it is actually not that bad, they managed to the the flat sides to be quite snug to the phone. Great time for the question as I have both and am doing a review (realesing tonight!). I have also made a video on Mous accessories which shows me putting the case in my pocket. As you will be able to see, it's a big un 😂 but it's more down to the phone itself I think. I am used to this case since the 11 Pro Max so for me it's ok, but if you are not used to it, it may feel quite big to start with. Hey Alex, will the case block the 5G on this? Since the side is 2mm thick? Im waiting for mine i saw the case on Amazon its 80bucks so expensive.
Hi there, that is a good question. Unfortunately I could't test 5G myself as that is not available in my area. In addition to that I would only be able to report on UK 5G which will be different to the US/Japan and a couple o other countries.
In the UK we don't have the mmWave antenna on the 12 Pro Max (sadly) as the 5G spectrum for that is not going to be available anytime soon over here. Sorry a bit long winded answer 😂 but the short of it is I don't know.

Hi there, firstly thanks for watching! The aramid fibre is probably the most slippery of the Mous cases (I like it but it is quite a smooth surface at the back) For more grip, I'd consider their other materials (check links in the description, their walnut is 🔥and they have a few others, all real material). With regards to stand, I'm afraid Mous don't seem to have one but I can share other options I'd recommend, will send you a couple of links tomorrow. cheers 👊

Hi there. No this one only works with Mous accessories. But the limitless 4.0 from Mous does work with MagSafe accessories. If you want to see in detail I did a video on the 4.0 recently 👊🏽
Are the buttons on the mous 3.0 easy to click?

I just got mine mous for 12 pro max yesterday, i just noticed that on the back of the case there is a small gap between the camera part and the aramid fiber. Actually I can see the magnet under the aramid fiber. Do u have the same issue? I've returned the case and ordered from another shop. I received a new one earlier today, but unfortunately, same issue.

thanks for pointing this out, I just checked my end and under the light when is flat you can definitely see a little bit of the magnet between the aramid fibre finish and the camera module. So will let Mous know and definitely pick this up on my next video, thanks so much for pointing this out!
Hello. New to your channel. Good video. I will be cheaper out more. I am looking for a case with some grip for my iPhone 12 pro max. I hear good things about Mous overall but how are they in terms of grip? I don't do well with slick cases. Thanks.
Hey Daniel, thank you! Mous protection is second to none but this specific case (in aramid fibre) is quite slippery due to the material being so smooth at the back. The sides are ok and I’ve used it on my 11 Pro Max for a year so I’m kinda used to how it feels. I would recommend you check out their other models as some other viewers have reported the exact same about this aramid fibre version (not being too grippy). I’ve got links in the description to their other models as well if you want to check them out. Whatever case you go with, for the 12 pro max I’d also recommend a screen protector. I never used one before but this new ‘ceramic shield’ on the iPhone 12 is prone to scratching. I’ve reviewed RhinoShield, Mous and Casetify screen protectors here on the channel too. Hope this helps! Is the 12 pro max much bigger than the 11 pro max
the case for them are quite similar bit the 12 Pro max is definitely bigger, you can see at around 5:30 on the video how little space there is for the new phone so even though is bigger, its not by much. thanks for watching! Is it edges raised to protect face down drops
It helps with something called “torsion” which is basically a fancy word for “twisting” when the phone is dropped. That twisting force is usually what breaks the screen so these edges help reduce that 👊🏼

Hi David, that's a great question. One I should be trying out on Friday when the device arrives. The camera cutout is *a lot* larger on this case, assuming to allow the Lidar to work well and there is no obstruction "camera lips" that would impact lighting so I expect the camera sensors to be absolutely fine. The 5G question is interesting, I will definitely be testing that and if you don't mind I will feature this question on the "Question of the day" section 👊 Stay tuned as I will also be reviewing their accessories including the screen protector. Hi there, it does charge but it’s not a great connection. The magnet on this case doesn’t seem to make any difference.
