I’m glad all the biker pros on here think that full gear will save your life at 170 plus mph. It will not trust me, not even on a slide. I’ve seen it with my eyes.
It will save you on a slide. However, sliding on the street is most likely met with hitting an object because that's just how streets are. MotoGP crashes happen at 200+mph and it isn't a problem because companies like Dainese and Alpinestars know how to create a safe product.
Heretic Anthem I understand what your saying and agree. I have lost friends due to high speed hit on the highway that were full suited and your right they hit something at the end of a slide. Highway concrete slides are different than a track asphalt slide. I got hit by a drunk on my busa in south St.Louis on hwy 55 doing 70 while wearing a alpinestars suit and it wore through it on the left cheek area, it was concrete is why I always thought.
303StreetMachines Thanks man, his insurance company paid for everything, bike, boots, suit, gloves, helmet, hospital bill and even a nice bonus at the end, lol
Wow imagine his flesh on the asphalt at that speed... that's going to hurt. May as well take off the helmet for weight reduction. You won't want to live if you crash without gear on.
he probarbly did 223 and said to himself that there isnt much difference from 223-240 i could just say i didnt wanna max it cause it felt like something was off.
What the hell is up with that seat!!! I understand weight savings, but man oh man.. Get a piece of foam instead! That explanation was totally whack. A slice of foam, can even be ordered out of a catalogue for racing.
Just a tip, when someone is talking about something, show us what theyre talking about, ex, the wheel and tire setup. During that entire conversation we didnt see but the top of the rear tire. Otherwise great video! Thanks for sharing!
I’m going to call BS on the 7.8x @178... I’ve had 2 nitrous Busa’s and that bike looked like a 8 second bike on its best day. I’m so sure if he still has it I’ll come down and drag his ass on a 8 second bike.
I am not a gear Nazi anymore (y’all are all grown and know how to grow your own skin back or magically don’t hit the ground some how when you crash) however for all of the folks saying that gear will not help at those speeds, ask Wayne Rainey who had an off at 200+ MPH In MOTOGP or Fast Freddy Spencer, Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez or any other serious rider who has gotten off their bikes at top speed with gear on and walked away from the crash. Yeah if you hit a pole or something like that during a get off while yeah your screwed, but at least having gear on while your sliding might give you a better chance of sliding your way away from something if possible. Not likely but hey a chance however slim is worth it to me. The reason most of us say anything about gear is that we actually do not want someone to get hurt any worse than necessary in a wreck. Having the proper gear on is the difference between getting your knee on deck and scraping a corner having fun in style and taking the skin off your knee and crashing. Besides he would go faster with a Humpback jacket or full suit than he would in a T shirt in the first place as the proper gear MAKES YOU MORE AREO-DYNAMIC. One last thing, I can’t speak on his 1/4 mile times but I do know this. An otherwise stock Kawasaki H2 with a flash/tune Vandemon exhaust and Rotobox Carbon wheels like mine did 243 MPH in the standing mile on stock wheel base. So I’m not going to bet against him being able to hit 240+ MPH on spray with motor work, full exhaust and an extended swing arm.
Ya know the no rear brake isn't that crazy . I have a stretched busa (bought that way ) and the rear brake doesn't do much but lock up waaay to easy because there is barely any weight on the rear tire during decel. I am putting it back to stock I do not like the stretch.
He seems like a cool dude but you can tell he's not too comfortable in front of a camera.. kind of reminds me of Ricky Bobby lol The Busa is sick, I miss mine.
I’m never getting a motorcycle. My dad rode one when he was my age he is going on 70 years old and still complains that his shoulder is fucked up from when he crashed when he crashed like 40 years ago...no thank you, I’d rather drive a fast car.

First of all neither of you pronounced it right, but this is America so say it however you want. Second there's no reason for him to act sneaky about the tune. I build race bikes for a living. At a factory dealership. The fi light being on shows he's running very very cheap tuning software, if any. This is just another busa with a swingarm and gas. Dime a dozen, especially in Florida.

I honestly didn't watch the whole video I stopped watching after this genius talked about to rear brake and I see him do a run in a t shirt. I just made a simple observations about how I bet the speedometer isnt calibrated.
CJames yea it would matter, the point is it depends how you gonna crash if you just slide and don’t hit anything well at that point you need gear because you will roll and break bones and have road rash but if you crash on a corner well you are a goner because either you will hit in something or roll down the hill, you can look up (MotoGP marc marquez crashing with 337 kmh/210 mph
True, but going over 240mph on the streets he’s a goner either way. People die all the time & most have a jacket on, but you’re right definitely a higher chance if he crashes in a straight open road

@Darious Lumas... His clutch hand must be the truth because he is short. Maybe 64 inches. We know he not running a slider because he is on the street. What racer says 3 inches over? Lol just saying.

No rear brakes means less rotating mass as well not just weight reduction alone. Smart dude doesn't even know he's smart.

Pretty amazing!
@@VASILLEVSKI1878 go crash a motogp at 200+ and tell me what happens you fucking muppet
Seatbelts don't guarantee to save your life either. Safety equipment is used to increase your odds of surviving if you do crash. Not guarantee it.
Wow imagine his flesh on the asphalt at that speed... that's going to hurt.
May as well take off the helmet for weight reduction. You won't want to live if you crash without gear on.
Stop worrying about what other men where it is weird keep loyal to your boyfriend and shut up
Look at the skin on his arms during pulls. Thats how u know that bike is fast af
Wind pressure, turbulence.
He could gain a few mph if we wore a wet suit. hahaha

More like 240km/h. Too dumb to read the speedometer correctly
he probarbly did 223 and said to himself that there isnt much difference from 223-240 i could just say i didnt wanna max it cause it felt like something was off.
What the hell is up with that seat!!! I understand weight savings, but man oh man.. Get a piece of foam instead! That explanation was totally whack. A slice of foam, can even be ordered out of a catalogue for racing.

Yeah I agree. My seat is cut but I had it done right.
I hope everyone here knows if you crash in a car at 200mph your most likely a dead man too.

Now this is a proper busa. Not like those riced out ones. This is what busas were originally made to be, not to be a squids dream.

He should run some UGR lambos, pretty sure he'd have some trouble 1R builds or better
I think I missed the GTR and Lambo.
So I’m not going to bet against him being able to hit 240+ MPH on spray with motor work, full exhaust and an extended swing arm.
if you fall at that speed you are FOOOOKED!!!!
Ya know the no rear brake isn't that crazy . I have a stretched busa (bought that way ) and the rear brake doesn't do much but lock up waaay to easy because there is barely any weight on the rear tire during decel. I am putting it back to stock I do not like the stretch.
