      @@ronnienestor I live in the NYC Area, what does barriotic mean? Check your dictionary of words because in the end buildings are mere buildings. Towards the end, didn't expect that you'll be deciding to eat from the roadside, sir. Hands down! 🙌🏻
    Btw, there's a dish called caldereta which traditionally uses goat, but beef is often used when goat meat is harder to find. It's basically beef or goat meat slowly stewed in a tomato based sauce, very tasty and slighty spicy. I think you'll like that dish.
    12:35 I would agree with you, sir.
    15:15 I saw on another video that strands of coconut leaves are woven into that shape, a portion of uncooked rice is poured in, then woven sealed. The packets are then placed in a pot, covered with water, boiled and simmered until the rice done. I am unsure how they know that the rice is done, I guess it takes a lot of experience.

    Laguna Cafe in Ayala Terraces. Authentic Filipino cuisine. Pricey but worthit. Lots of greenery. Starbucks is situated in a rare entrance/pathway. UCC (another coffee shop) is another favorite since Ayala Mall's opening back in the day (who doesn't love coffee and lattes 😅). I find the ones in Cebu a lot more quaint. BGC and Makati obviously are bigger areas in terms of square footage. A lot more shops and infrastructure. Either way -- it's way more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 -- 👊♥️👏👏👏

      “Laid back” mostly just means developments take forever. Service and products are mediocre. There’s no sense of urgency to do anything. Your time is not respected in the slightest as everyone is on “Filipino Time”. Laid back attitude towards cleanliness and everywhere is dirty.

    • @marierocher4422

    • @stevem437
      @stevem437 Рік тому +1

      @@marierocher4422 You can see where this laid back attitude gets you. IT Park is 23 years old and the mall is 4 years old… Still haven’t even filled up many of the vendor spaces yet. Business Park is even older and it’s just basically Ayala mall with condos and office buildings. None of the residents care whatsoever about the cleanliness of their environment and there is trash all over. I live in IT Park and it’s just a bunch of call centers. There is no real tech or IT industry at all in “IT Park”. Just cheap labor for other countries to use for their tech support lines. The pyramid has been abandoned. Nothing is cared for or maintained. I saw a man peeing on the border wall outside of the new luxury 38 Park Avenue building in the middle of the day… Traffic going by the whole time… I bought a condo in Mandani Bay, and there are other developments that look promising… But if the residents don’t change their mindset and grow up, these developments won’t do very well and money will stop being pumped into Cebu. Why invest millions of dollars when your developments aren’t maintained or cared for? You can call it a “laid back” city… But there needs to be some urgency in adapting to modern times. The residents in Cebu like a hands-off government. I’m American and can certainly understand that. But the people need to start taking the initiative and do the right things without the government telling them what to do… Or Cebu will remain behind many other major cities in the region.

    • @marierocher4422
      @marierocher4422 Рік тому

      @@stevem437 true. You have your points. Political control is so strong in both parties, people neglected. I saw the difference like in the US when two party fights, it’s faction. The difference is the US is a developed world while the Philippines is a developing much worst Cebu is only the province. The huge difference where I live presently in Europe as a multi parties are working, tough and people are also tough. Multi parties can kill one party if they don’t agree. While 2 parties tends to go factions. « either you or us ». Then in small provinces will end up killing each other in the name of parties. What’s is worst the US or the Philippines are like banana republic. They give priorities or advantages to their party whoever runs the country. Then there’s another thing, they’ll make their own cities and towns the most advantage or privilege so they’ll keep the votes. It’s the same in the US. You knew what’s going on now the NY and ÇA with too many homeless and abandoned. The politicians cared only in building dynasties. I made a joke on this as the Best Business to join in. No Capital Needed. The Philippines has a long way to go. As long as there’s no dedicated politicians. Politics is a HUMANITARIAN JOB first of all. This reminded me my great grandfather used his own money to help the poor but now it’s the poor helping the politicians to stay in power. Like the Philippines thé US destroyed Education as a Capitalist country. Education and Healthcare should be part the government’s program, like the roads, hospitals, post office etc. These are public services. Neglect on Education became a Social problem where we again increased budget for the police forces, social welfare, psychologists etc. These patterns when people are neglected. Look at Singapore the best example. No natural resources but the arms/ shield were Education as Lee Kwan Yew saw it. Educated people follow the rules and understand the laws. Thank you.
