    Great video done correctly. I will add that by installing that new light kit to that trailer the trailer has doubled in value.

    Thanks Curt and especially Matthew Sollman for this straightforward video. Even though the lights I replaced were grounded differently, I was successful installing this kit and they lit up first first try.

    Very good. Brief and focused. I especially appreciated showing how the snap log is used. I've used them before but not often enough that a little review isn't helpful.

    Question, how good are those snap locks for the markers? Is it safer to just hardwire the markers in? Or are the snap locks better?

    • @curtmfg
      @curtmfg  7 років тому +3

      Great question. The snap locks are convenient, easy to use and allow a splice without cutting or striping. Other than that they offer no advantage. If you would prefer to hard wire the marker lights for a more secure connection, that is a great way to do it!

    how does the wires stay in the light ? what holds them in?

    • @curtmfg
      @curtmfg  7 років тому +4

      There is a spring that opens to let the wires in, and then squeezes them tight, holding them place once in position.

    Funny thing, as a boat trailer those lights will short out in the water, no water proofing
