In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this simply adorable bean stitch crochet cardigan, crochet sweater, crochet baby jacket, crochet coat or crochet matinee jacket for baby boys and baby girls from 6 to 9 months. You can also make this crochet sweater cardigan for girls just make sure you put the buttons in the correct side. Also, If you want to make it for NB use a 2mm hook, for 0-3 months use a 2.5mm hook, 3-6 month baby just use a 3mm crochet hook, for 9-12 months use a 4mm hook and for 12-18 month use a 4.5mm crochet hook ALL with #3 yarn or DK weight yarn.
For this crochet baby bean stitch sweater tutorial I used James C Brett DK baby yarn in the color blue and white with a 3.5 mm crochet hook. I used about 155 grams of yarn for the crochet baby jacket.

Thank you Sara. I had to restart twice, but once I got the hang of it I was delighted with the finished product. My problem was I made it for both newborn boy and girl it came out much larger than what they are.😊
What hook size did you use for newborn? Im using 2mm but i feel the size is going to be smaller

On the 5th row of the bodice I am not getting 109 but 106 dc (22 front right, 11 for the sleeve, 40 for the back, 22 front left and 11 for the other sleeve = 106) what am I missing?

This is not making sense to me My measurements are coming out always a inch less then yours. And I either get one less stitch or one more stitch then you. Help please 😔

Mee to. I can't seem to get the same stitches .... The problem appears at the bean rouws. Sometimes i get it right at the end , sometimes not . I don't understand why. Because i have the same number of stitches as the previous rouw.
So as it turnes out I was skipping a stitch at the end and for the sc after bean stitch also skipping the very first sc . Now that I am working those , there is no more stitches missing . 😅
