- Easy crochet cardigan sweater, coat or jacket with hood for baby boys and girls between 3-6 month. You can easily make this little cardigan sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial (see below) with same stitch count and number of rows. Just remember these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension varies from person to person which can affect the final size. When you made the first sleeve, why did you make a regular DC after your chain-4 but, on the second sleeve, you made a FPDC after your chain-4?
Oops yes it should have been a FPDC. In the Spanish tutorial I did it. Not sure why I didn’t do it here but yes it should be a FPDC. Thanks for letting me know.

omg Sara the pink and white is just so beautiful!! I just finished the sleeves, and was looking at the last comment regarding the DC, well guess what I never noticed it....but just carried on...and my jacket just looks so beautiful!! I love this pattern what is it called....now just going to start on the hoodie.
Hi Sabrina! Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving! Not sure what the name of this stitch is. I know it by 3d fan stitch. There are a couple of variations to this stitch and I have a baby blanket with a variation of this stitch and it’s beautiful. Glad you didn’t see the mistake and it’s working out for you. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out 😀
@@CrochetForBaby oh a a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...I didn't know you lived in the states...I am in Canada and we had our last month...the outfit I made in the color scarlet only...but I will get the pink and yellow to make for my grand baby...or will wait when they reveal the sex of the baby..lol I will post it on IG when done...its just one color for now.
Yes I’m in Virginia and didn’t know you’re from Canada. Can’t wait to see your finished hoodie 😀
❤❤❤❤❤❤
OMGOSH This I absolutely 💯 beautiful. Thanks for sharing your video and talents with us all. Hugs..... Donna 💜💜💜💜💜
You’re very welcome 😉
Hi Sara , I made the original sweater ( absolutely adorable) , I have a question , the first row after you divide the sleeves , after the chain 4 when you do the back with front and back post DC , you say the first one is a DC , not a front or back post DC .. I am guessing it is just a simple error , because when I made the sleeve it wasn't really noticeable but it did seem a little strange .. thank you 😊 .. I absolutely love your work and patterns ❤️
Yes I probably said dc instead of fpdc 😉
Hi .I made a few of these off your tutorial .beautiful .would it turn out just a bit bigger if I used chunky Robin wool please ?
Yes absolutely 👍
I love the sweater. Will definitely be making it for grand niece. But is this supposed to be left handed version? I myself can easily reverse, I've been doing this a long time, but others maybe not.
Thank you for taking the time to do the lovely tutorials.
Hi! There are 3 versions of this same video lol. There’s a Spanish tutorial, the right hand English tutorial and this left version. To see the right hand version, just click the lamb next to my channel name and it will take you to my main channel. That’s why I always add a little note to the beginning of the video ( after the intro) with this information. Here’s the link to all my right hand videos too ua-cam.com/play/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r.html
@Crochet For Baby Thank you for responding. I did see the others videos, but this one is also right handed. Just didn't know if you were aware.
Sara can I use the 100% rayon from bamboo yarn for this sweater? its so beautiful silky and soft?
Yes as long as it’s #3.
@@CrochetForBaby yes, its #3 and the recommended hook size is 4mm, but if I am to make this outfit will use a 3.5 like u are doing..lol
I love following your patterns, but I've noticed they all finish a lot bigger , I might start using 3ply instead of dk x
Yes or just go down a hook size since tension varies from person to person which does affect the final size.
@@CrochetForBaby I struggle using less than 3.5 mm hook with dk x
I Don't know how to work! But i am gonna try this for baby gift. Pray for me
Good luck 👍
It would have been nice to demonstrate how to deal with the ch4 under the sleeve.
I did 😅
Didn't mean to hit the chicken, 🌈🌺
Lol 😆
It’s a way to make it big for a 7-8 year old
Yes but you will have to add more chains to the foundation chain which will change everything
Just on the first row fans , I have 6 on the first front , how many do I do on the chain underarm plz , I'm confused x
You just continue with the pattern. Skip 3 stitches no matter what they are and in the 4th make a fan.
hi Sarah you do not say what to do with the 4 chains under sleeves and why 1 dc at beginning of back and not the other side puzzled xx
It’s the second row of the body which is a row of fans. You just continue with the same sequence of skipping 3 sts and into the next a fan.
Hi hope u keeping well i want to make one for 2 to 3yrs baby boy what will the stitch count be please reply regards Sandy Kasi South Africa Kzn 🙏❤
Here’s what I wrote in the information box for this size.
2-3yrs use 5.5mm hook with #4, ARAN or 10ply yarn
Hello, I am working on this sweater that I am following but counting the fans I keep getting 24 fans and not 25 fans. Is this a mistake?
For the front sleeves, do we mark at 24 or 33 Sts, and when I count 48 Sts from the top corner, I am only 10-15 Sts away from the middle edges. I am confused
For the LEFT sleeve (with front side facing you),
Row 1: (Worked from the wrong side out), Attach the second color to the center under the sleeve (with 2 st on each side). Ch 1 and make 1 DC in the same space. Make 3 more DC between the first dc that you just made under the sleeve and the 1st dc of the sleeve. For the next 33 dc of the sleeve, Rep *1 BPDC, 1 FPDC*. Make 3 DC in the next spaces. Sl st to join. (40)
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Attach the first color from RS on top of last st. If NOT changing color, then ch 3 and turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch 3 and rep *Skip 3 st, in the next st make a 1 fan * across. Each fan is madeof(2DC,ch1,2DC).Slstto3rd chandjoin.(9fans)
Row 3 (WS): Ch 3 and turn. For the second and third DC of each fan, make 1 FPDC. Inthechspofeveryfan,make1v-stof(1DC,ch1,1DC).Slsttojoin.(9fans)
Row 4 (RS): Ch 3 and turn. In the ch sp of every v-st, make 1 fan of (2 DC, ch 1, 2 DC). Sl st to join. (9 fans)
Rows 5-13: Rep rows 3 and 4. With row 13 being the same as row 3 and on the WS.
What stitches do I do on the 4 chains that join the armholes?
Continue watching. I show what you need to do when you make the sleeves.

Can’t find the written pattern in your Etsy link you gave
I’m working on it right now. I’ll let you know when I add it today. Thank you for your support 💕
Hi! I just added the pattern. Here’s the link www.etsy.com/listing/1353116929/
Just got it now thank you so much
Thank you so much 💕
I have started this. After I finished the 8th row it measures 3 inches and yours is 3.5 inches. 3 inches ok?
You have two options. You can make an extra row without increasing or start again with a slightly bigger hook size. Good luck 👍
@@CrochetForBaby thank you so much for fast reply 😊

You dont show how to crochet at the armholes
Because i keep ending up with 26 fans
I also need to know this please
I'm pretty sure it's fine because when she did the ch4 for the armholes she said you could do more chains to make the chest bigger as long as it was a multiple of 4
