At this point, I’ve not had this issue, though I have not done a long low and slow yet either. I’m not sure if it’s defective or just a matter of some how the pellets wasn’t feeding or stuck. The other pellet grill I have, this has happened to me, somehow they form a tight seal and just don’t feed. If no pellets are fed, then no heat. What I’d do every once in a while is take a stick and kind of probe at the pellets to get them to loosen up some.
Looks nice, good video. But it's like a combo washer/dryer....when one fails you gotta hope parts are available to fix it or both get thrown away. I'm looking forward to some Hussey pellet grill cooks though!
I like this smoker but the front of that door leaks quite a bit. And as smoky as that was I’m gonna assume it was on the start up sequence so it was extra Smokey maybe that’s why it was leaking more smoke than it should have . But I like this setup pretty neat
Man I just wish the griddle was a bit larger. It would be difficult to cook a good amount of food and maintain a cool zone at the same time. But dang I want one of these
I can see that your concern. I does have two zones and the area is larger than a typical 22” (more sq in). There will be some stand alone versions of just the pellet coming soon!
@@thehungryhussey I really didn’t mean to sound like a jerk haha. So please don’t think I was trying to be one. However, I think a traditional gas grill/griddle combos is for far more people than this is. It would be a far more approachable and mainstream product for most folks.
Nah man, you’re all good. Seems gas grills are getting phased out to a point and pellets are the “new” way. I feel with the grill getting up to 500° the market will use this instead.
As with most pellet grills, it’s not the type or amount of say my offset, but does smoke a good bit. There’s a manual auger option too for feeding more pellets.
Hussey did you see "Flat Top King" video of cooking pork butts on the pellet grill portion ? He unfortunately had issues, I do not think he is bashing but just showing something is not right . Possible his has a bad probe or something. Have you cooked yet ?
Yeah, I did see that and I’ll be looking out for that too. I cooked on mine last Friday and didn’t see this happening, though didn’t do a low and slow either. Something I’m going to keep in mind for sure. I know pellets will sometimes jam a little and not feed into the auger, causing the temps to drop. But for the display to still show 250 degrees, when it wasn’t makes me a little nervous.
The Flat Top King has had nothing but problems with the smoker on his. Not maintaining temp. Maybe a one off issue but just informing you.
So I’ve heard… Thanks for the tip off.
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Hope you got a better one than Flattop King. His smoker was defective and has to return it. Maybe he just got a lemon. Time will tell.

Nice!!! Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Cousin 😜
Morning! Hope you’re well, Cuz!
@@thehungryhussey yes sir!! Freezing in Gatlinburg though 😜..Have a wonderful day!! 💪💪

Great point!
Great review Hussey. Really like that combo. Griddle and pellet grill 👍🏽. I saw one at Lowes and it looks awesome. Have a great day Matt.
Thanks, you too!
Would like to see what you are going to cook on the smoker and Griddle at the same time.

It's on start up. Wanted it to be dramatic.
Use an extra probe to keep track of temps. These are failing for everyone out of the box. Something is wrong with their auger motor.
Yeah, it’s always a good thing to have an extra probe with pellet grills. My other one has jammed.

That is really a nice setup. Looks like the smoker works well.
Can't wait to see your first cook on this beast!
You and me both!
I want
UGHHHH just give me a normal gas grill/griddle combo. Full size. Not a camping/mobile version.
Might not be for everyone my friend!

Good morning Matthew ! Nice looking little unit !
Morning! Thanks brother! I think it’s going to be a great unit.
Good morning, my friend, happy Sunday. Midway👍
Same to you!
How is it for producing smoke ? I have a PB 1150 and getting smoke even at 250 degrees is a challenge so I use a smoke tube.

@@thehungryhussey Good to know Thanks
Try the oak Pitboss pellets for good flavor
Thanks for the recommendation !

I keep my pellets inside nice and dry to alleviate as many issues as I can.@@thehungryhussey
Moisture can play a big part in it for sure. I cooked two briskets over night the other day, and didn’t have an issue.
This looks fantastic Matt! Cheers my friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Good morning Hussey.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hey what’s the best oil to season a new griddle ?
In my opinion Avocado oil. Any kind of neutral oil with a high smoke point.
I like the Blackstone blend that’s a paste you can buy. Also, just straight canola oil has always been good for me.
Fun new toy👍😊
Thank you 🤗 Looking forward to using it!!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
How much HH? I’m guessing 3k??
$1199
@@GiantExxonSign nice! Thank you. 👍🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
Yep, he’s on it. It’s $1200.
Do you know what the max temp the pellet smoker will go up to is? Thx Hussey
500°
I've heard mixed reactions to this combination. Still need to watch more videos before I make a decision. Cheers from BRANTFORD Ontario
We’ll be using this a lot and will see. So far, I’ve enjoyed it!
@@thehungryhussey will be checking all your videos. Thank you.
