you need to take the grease trap out completely and mount it sideways like any other Blackstone. Actually really good feature to store the grease trap.
he mentioned he had a buddy with the same thing. i would’ve thought he would ask questoons first. and as far as the collapsible cover… does it not fit on the side burner?…
Yeah, I figured that out after the fact. but live and learn right! That is why we make these videos to help out others that may not read the instructions like me haha. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
Follow up a couple months later - bought one and love it. Except the plastic handle is already broken. It's just a round piece of plastic snug between the two holders and each holder already cracked. Blackstone is sending a replacement but I'll be measuring the size and just going to Home Depot or something to find something a bit more sturdy.
The manual is more than helpful. It does tell you to check the ignitor 1/8 inch from the burner, mine needed to be adjusted on the griddle side, it was literally touching from the box. The spare grease cups and the new tools for the camping griddles will all fit for travel under the grate for the burner easily. Might check that dome too. Again, reading the manual it tells you how to install the grease cup from the storage location for use.
Thank you for watching! I have read it now, i always try to create content in a way that people normally would have just taking things out of the box and seeing how user-friendly they are, but I definitely appreciate the feedback
Thanks for the review. What size pot or pan will fit burner side? Between the griddle lip and right side looks tight. If cooking bacon and want fry some eggs.
Good video we just picked up one today to replace our bulky and heavy 22”. This one’s not as well built but being easier to tie around it probably won’t get left at home like the other one .
Not a bad review...saw these today at walmart and wanted to see it in action. Maybe hold off on your review video until after a few more uses to see how it holds up. I also would have liked to see how easy the clean up was. Good luck on your way to 1000!
Sorry for the delay in response. 16.75" x 12.75" outside to outside on the feet with a diameter of the foot of 1-7/8" Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
I like the burner option so you can use a pot! Not sure if you could boil water on the griddle. Thanks for the info. What was the total measurement of the stove?
I dont agree completely with your review. Reading the instructions would have solved several of your complaints about the griddle, including the grease cup and being hard to ignite. I had to adjust the ignitor on mine when i got it and now its no problem lighting. Im actually impressed with how well it cooks being as small and compact as it is. I also like the aluminum top. I picked up the nylon/silicone utensil kit when i got mine so i wouldnt scratch up the top, and it cooks great! Nothing sticks to it and its very easy to clean. Plus, if im taking it somewhere, its very nice to not have to deal with oil and seasoning, or worry about rust during storage.
Its also very good on fuel using both burners actually. I did a pretty lengthy cook (about an hour) and i went through maybe a third of a one pound bottle. Thats far better than my 17 single burner is on gas, which goes through nearly an entire bottle for one cook.
Very good information good review. In the past I’ve been very pleased with Blackstone products, I presently own 3 Blackstone grills. Thanks for the honest review. 👍
We got the griddle only version of this as we have a small separate burner which can fit bigger pans on. This one can only take a tiny pan which may be sufficient for some. The quality isn't the absolute best but if you are not heavy handed with it I can't see why these wouldn't last. We don't go camping with ours, we use it at home to grill outside and have a backup cooking source when the power goes out. We are also going to use it along with our separate burner for when we rip out the old kitchen as we won't have a cooker to use for a few weeks.
I feel like my 17" is too small curious to see how you like cooking on the 14" I do like the extra side burner, though very small I wish I got the 22" (currently have no room for 28 or 36
I also feel like it matters how many you’re cooking for and what you’re cooking. So for me it depends on all of that before i decide which one to take. Some steaks and veggies or tacos were perfect.
I think that paper tag on the underside is and air intake and you have to adjust...I think my be.... and that's why it doesn't lite a the fuel wasn't there...❤
np their suppose to be a compact leg kit for it also saw on Instagram, hopefully it shows up in a store near here or online. we have a larger teardrop camper the more compact the grill and legs the better.@@azbackroadadventures
I had to go in store for the leg kit. The internet had it for a second but the. I couldn’t find the webpage again. Drove me crazy so I went to the store and found them.
Heads up you shouldn't use metal tools on this model. The griddle is not cast iron. It's coated aluminum and you'll scratch off the non-stick and it'll end up in your food.
Yeah, someone else mentioned the same and I snagged some rubber ones after. Thank you though appreciate it. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
Sorry, but instead of laying instructios to the side, you should have read them first. The instructions will tell you: how to remove griddle surface how to properly use levelers how to use grease cup do not season how to adjust ignitors and most important-DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS! Also, the other model is 20 inch, not 22 inch.
I absolutely agree! However i always try to see how simple a product is to understand for the end user without having to go through pages of instructions, because let’s face it there’s two kinds of people right? Lol. I appreciate the insight and feedback though!
@azbackroadadventures weak excuse. Totally fine with you blind opening and using it. But you should then go and read the instructions before looking like an idiot/misinforming people in a video review.
I usually try to make videos based on initial user friendliness, this should be something that is fairly straight forward to use out of the box, I did however read the manual after. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
Junk! I bought one. The Orange paint flakes off opening and closing the lid getting on the cooking surface, my griddle had spots that weren't ceramic coated and it was hard to light. I returned it and bought a 22" Adventure Ready Griddle with a Cast Iron flat top. Much higher quality and the same price.
@@azbackroadadventures And I hope you have a much better experience with your new griddle. I really like the concept for taking it camping. I just wish they would have done something different so the issues I mentioned were addressed before sending it out to the consumer.
Unfortunately a lot of new products are going in this direction, I would rather have something backed by a known company that stands behind their products. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
I picked up the 20" version last weekend, used it 3 times so far in preparation for camping mine lights just fine I. I dont have remove the griddle to get it to light. I forgot to pull out the grease catch too 🤣 hopefully it was a good reminder to never do that again.
The grease trap is supposed to be pulled completely out of the recessed hole, turned sideways and hooked over the back of griddle using the wings on the grease cup.
Thanks for the tip on the regulator, I never considered the diaphragm inside getting damaged from the heat. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.
2nd video I've watched encouraging me not to buy one. There's always new people getting into camping who don't have gear or using old stuff so there's a market and I'm sure these will sell.

While it wont get exactly the same sear as the steel top does, the aluminum is actually nice in its own way. The aluminum heats up very quickly and cools off very quickly for cleanup, and the nonstick is great. Absolutely nothing sticks to it and it was flawless just wiping it with a paper towel after bacon, pineapple, burgers, and brats. Mine was hard to light at first, but gee read the instructions and adjusted the ignitor and didnt have a problem with it from then on.

Can you toss a link over?

Bought mine at Wal-Mart. They do stock the tin foil cups for the grease catcher.
I have looked twice now and havent caught them in stock. Might check Amazon while i get some plastic accessories too.
Thanks for the review.
What size pot or pan will fit burner side? Between the griddle lip and right side looks tight.
If cooking bacon and want fry some eggs.
The span is 8.5" if that helps.
found the first weakness, the handle breaks easy. just picked it up fast by the handle and the handle rod pulled through the thin plastic.
Thank you for watching. That sucks! I’ll have to keep an eye on mine.
Good video we just picked up one today to replace our bulky and heavy 22”. This one’s not as well built but being easier to tie around it probably won’t get left at home like the other one .
That was exactly my thought! Love mine.
Happy Easter!! We had to redo our 17” Blackstone last month. Finished it off in our oven and it’s perfect!
That’s awesome. Thank you so much for watching.
You might want to pull the gas adapter out when cooking. The heat might affect the diapham in the regulator. Just a thought
Good thought. Never thought about that. Thanks!
Thank you for your detailed review. I just picked one up today 👍
Thank you for watching!

Happy to report back that it is still going strong after a few months of use and still enjoying the compactness of it.
Can you do me a favor and measure the distance between the feet on the bottom? Looking for a small table to put this on in a space limited duck blind

It says in the manual you can’t use the Blackstone quick connect hose (connect to RV) with the new camp griddle. Seems odd. Any insight here?
That I do not know I just use the adapter hose to go to the 5 pound or 10 pound propane tanks
