Sang kee is not cheap on maintenance. They pay a lot of money on cleaning, pest control, and necessary services. Probably, the most sanitary restaurant in philly.
Ok but the Sixers Arena is squarely Mark Squilla’s fault. He had the opportunity to singularly block it as the councilor for that district and chose not to. Absolutely spineless!
But did they actually address the steam problem (which is pipefitters, not electricians) or just write the letter and dust their hands of it, classic Philly pencil-whipped style?
That wasn't no help from no union or electrician or anyone for that matter. It was an act of God that made it all happened. Yeah, you can thank me for that insight bcos nobody else thought of that.

Why this Chinese restaurant us so important during Christmas? During Christmas, it all about Roast Turkey, fine wine & about not Chinese fried rice or noodles??
This story doesnt have anything at all to to with Donald Trump, but you just can't help yourself, can you? It's out of your control due to TDS. Seek help before it's too late, which it probably already is
They own a business in the city that serves the people. That’s an investment in the city if you ask me. They are allowed to keep the money from their business for their family. What is wrong with people’s thinking skills?!
@kellykolb1002 sure sure. It's a private community. You nor I can rent a apt in Chinatown. You can not invite your relatives from overseas to work for your legally operated business and get paid under the table to help start their life here in America. I am not stereotyping. I am voicing my opinion about my personal observation. FYI This is not the only community that does this. It does have impact on the bigger picture. I did not fully express my view. Have at it expressing your own.
How about you give back to your community? Whites, Asians, etc aren’t thinking about you people. You’re always looking for handouts. Always asking what are they doing for us? Focus on yourselves for once. Geeze. I’m so sick of yall.
Well, I guess you just know every single thing about everyone, right? You know of every single thing g those restaurant folk do within the community, do you? Can you prove that? Can you prove that you aren’t just a nasty racist?
What is consider give back. They are serving the community by providing a place to buy cooked food? By giving back, you meant giving out free food? If that free food for everyone, then the business will be closed within a week and everyone working their will be out of a job. And if every business is meant to give back, then there will be a ghost town or block as all business can survive by constantly giving out free food. These place are serving affordable food. $10 per meal. What do you expect them to do. They are not multi millions Aires like those professional basket players whom makes $30+ millions a year. Some of these restaurants workers makes $40-$50k a years. Gimme a break...go cry to those millionsaires and billionaires about giving back to the community
Come on now got to give another billionaire some more freebies and some more tax breaks ... their barely getting by ..... don't worry it trickles down .... 30 or 40 years from now you'll get a few pennies.
sang kee is one of the few spots that have been going strong for YEARS in our community. shoutout to these union workers.

@@danzofromdelaware4594 and you know how? Seriously asking because you sound like a surrogate for the restaurant.
@DP-jaja nope. I know a third-party contractor who worked on site.

Wow! The electrician guy is an awesome guy and a good human being. What a good heart of a man. He lead by example.
Respect the electrician 😊

lol at the news trying to manufacture consent for this Arena.
Bless this man!
Proud of my IBEW fellow union members. You are awesome.
Thank you! I am sure the owner is grateful
Best feel good Christmas story of the year
Feel good holiday story and all. But who is at fault on the mystery steam pipe at the first place?
What does the arena have to do with the closure?
Heart warming story out of Philly as you least expected.
The city will be back until they close this restaurant and turn it over to the stadium development.
They're already home. 😒

Regular folk in Philly won't get it either.
That's what it's all about right here.

Found what solution that work? They just got lucky some guy happen to be free to do the work. City didnt do anything.
Did Johnny Doc write the letter from the clink????

The arena has nothing to do with Chinatown. Chinatown is always crying when something new is being done downtown.
If anything it’ll bring more business when people go to or leave the game.
