There's a difference between retirement and stepping back from work, farmers rarely retire 100%, more likely to take the odd day off and slow down gradually.
Tru but no one asked
Thanks Mike.. you surely are informed.
Hey guys I found a small farmers UA-cam channel and it seems ok get too to see it I believe he has already sent a comment
ua-cam.com/channels/Fk5cmL3gWd0esf5nkUkLfQ.html
Thanks mate channel is ua-cam.com/channels/Fk5cmL3gWd0esf5nkUkLfQ.html
Always good to have multiple machines, trailers and people ready to get cracking and the drone shots were great Tom, well done to you, ginger warrior and Luke 🚜👍🏻🍻
Seeing straw and the crop coming in this time a year is absolutely the best, makes me happy to see when a farmer gets a good win with the weather and what needs to be put in the sheds :)
It's like a giant Hay Printer! Thanks for sharing Tom.
Tom, I have really taken a liking to your channel, so much so I have been going back watching your older videos and of course giving them a 👍🏼. Your father is just a good man, salt of the earth and understands farming so much. You both work so well as a team! Keep up the great work, stay safe & I wish you and your family nothing but the very best mate.
Ahh glad you like them 😊
love your videos tom dream is to met you see you soon
I love seeing that old tractor still grafting carting and grabbing. Beast 👍
Good morning Tom!
I come to your channel to watch your videos cause it inspires me. I'm having a tough time IRL and seeing how hard you work in real life, combined with you constantly editing and making videos. I feel better after each one I watch. Great stuff!
I’m glad I can help and hope you feel better soon mate 😊
Love watching your videos seeing the animals run free❤️
Its great when a plan comes together. Thought out well and got the Ginge with his 6' bales just as the boss wanted and he was in the plan to stack. Good job by all.
The drone shots of the JD tractor and baler were fantastic 🤌🏼
Thabks so much 😊
Wonderful team work, well done Ginger, Luke and of course your good self.
I like how you guys work great as a team. It may be nice to have a shiny new tractor, but your equipment gets the job done, and done well. 👍👍
Morning Tom
It’s amazing to see your cousins helping you and your dad on the farm
That was a lot of hard work. You deserve a drink!
I just watch viperkeeper cleaning poo from the habitats. Then watching that bale come out the back of the baler had laughing about baler poo = straw. 😆 🤣 😂
Glad u got some bedding for the winter
So glad you have great drone views of the baling, and loading, etc. It really adds to understanding how things work there. Thanks for another entertaining video!
very impressed drone flying with all the overhead wires and power poles. great video always watch them twice or more. Thanks for taking the time to put them together. BC CAnada
Thought you would have strapped the bales down on the trailers as you go on the main road
I think when you follow the harvest and take what's left, it's called gleaning. Anyhow it's great to be able to use what the other farmer leaves behind. Great video of course!
Don't know why, but I always prefer to see a smaller combine out working, especially a classic like that one. The big ones, impressive as they are get boring.🤣
🙈😂
Love watching you work! Fantastic video!
Tom, another busy day or 2, as always. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe!
The drone shots are spectacular. Love learning of the prep needed for the upcoming change in season and that you have to think well ahead to make sure your cows have what they need during the winter.
Thank you so much 😊
Great video Tom! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Wahoo let's goo .. time for another adventure on the farm
Nice video on Friday!!!
Always great to see another aspect of the farm. Have a great weekend be well be you
Great video tom what you could do to store all your bales is build a bale shed next to the slurry pit where all your old machinery and tyres used to be and then build a little side shed as a wash station and so when the bale shed is empty you can store your machinery in there
Great video as always keep up the great work tom
That was amazing!! The view from the skies looking down on what you’re doing! Wow! 🇨🇦
That baler sure works faster than my Massey Ferguson 139 ever did . Great vid as usual, just waiting for your dad to start calling you "mini me"...
Tom excellent video showing us where our porridge comes from, and it was good to see Heidi in your recent video, glad to see she’s doing well, I seen you in olly s video again good job and well done again
Thanks Davinia 😊
Great video tom well done
Great video Tom
the wheather is awesome. enjoy it ... good job crew.
How is the grass situation at present? Irish farms try to build up covers for the autumn from now on.
Wow that’s really fast i bale everything with a 2007 Vicon welger 235 which I mean is alright but then I’m driving along and i see farmers with these huge Heston balers.
Nice vid man
well done on your hard work and determation
looks like good fun. loved driving the forklifts when everything worked and you could go like the clappers.
Another great video Tom it is all about team work Tom keep up the good work 👍👍🇬🇧🏴
I remember when bales could be lifted by hand and we made castles in the fields.
Great video Tom. Always showing what you grow for your wonderful cows and also what other things you do for them to keep them tickety-boo. The drone shots were amazing & music on point 1 for you ♥️ & 1vfor Ginge ♥️
Thank you so much 😊
Enjoying the videos on the channel keep up the good work 👍👍
Love that Unimog.
Whew that just kinda moved right along. I'll tell you though Tom I hope you're wearing plenty of sunscreen! I've got 3 redheads fair skin light eye's makes for a horrible burn! It's nice to hear how good of a relationship with your neighbors that y'all can borrow from each other! I hope you have a great day
Always enjoy your drone footage 😊
Another great video
Very efficient system Tom 👍🏻
Great videos keep it up 👍
Love your vids
Cheers Tom. Keep u the hard grind
What a wonderful crop of oats!
👍 drone shots amazing
Keep on smashing it guys beautiful straw👍
Definitely a harvest!
That's cool to see a John Deere baler there. I have walked right down the assembly line that those are made on here in the USA.
Tom you should get a three prong bale grab with like a big frame and pre stack them into threes and then there is less chance of the bale going soft or bursting and if you. Load the trailer the other way not with bales horizontally you can pick up three at a time when unloading trust me I shifted about 680 rye straw bales
Great video 👌
Some setup! Cheers Tom
Brilliant job by all my brother 💙👍🏻
Mighty video Tom...i remember pitching trailer loads of 300/350 square bales for days on end....Memories...
🙈
Well done!
Great video tom, cracking drone shots. Good to see the combine working away. Nice bit of oat straw.
Thanks Layton 😊
I hear there is somthing shinny coming to your farm at the end of the week I think you’ll like it tom it’s nice and green 🤣😄😄
Hahaha what is it?? 🙈
@@TomPembertonFarmLife I’ve just been and sat on it tonight at tunstall tractors I really think you will like it I told David that he needs to put you a radio in it before he even dare put it on a wagon 😂👍
Grate vid tom
Top Job Guys.👌
Loving the John deer tractor and baller and the new Holland harvest Tom fantastic video Tom just keep smashing the video out bud from bryon
Great job you guys a another very good video
Ur a good farmer
I guess those bales are so heavy that they don’t need to be roped off on the trailer. In the 70 we produced the small bales, had to rope up every trailer and stacked the barn by hand 😉 Damn that’s a lot of machinery to bring the grass in.
Why is there no kids on them bales?
My childhood was riding on top of them trailers, laying on them feeling the sway looking at the sky. 😀
Excellent team work well done.
Thanks Tom, didn’t see much of them folk the other day 👌
@@TomPembertonFarmLife Ok no probz 👍
Good video
Aaugh the dirty, dusty days of farming. I remember them all to well
Tom showing tricks he learnt on fast and farmerish with his bale skills lol
Nice job 👍🏼
just as an aside, I had to get a couple of bales of straw from one of my local farms and he was telling me that he sells a lot of them for house building and weddings!!!! I just wanted him to re jig his baler so that the bale would fit into a Freelander lol
You might want to consider keeping that for food not bedding given how little grass there is at the moment. Great video.
If you get a new case you should put a loder on the herliman but great vid tom
Well
Spectacular drone shots again... looks phenomenal, Tom. keep up the great work!! Tom how long is your father planning to keep working? How old is the famous ginger with the moustache?
Hes only like 62 or 63 i think. My granda was still out over the fields tending to sheep when he was 88 lol
My uncle is still working away with 1 arm (pto accident) at 76, and my other uncle at 73 works physically harder than my cousin, though he doesnt do any of the tractor work now, just stock work and feeding.
I dont think farmers ever retire lol
The moustached warrior said last year was his last Christmas, he'd worked every one in 40+ years and now it was time for the young fella to crack on. However, can you imagine having that wealth of knowledge and not being asked to help out or have your brain picked.
@@dawnb8123 aye but thats only 1 day a year, and its taken him 40 years to decide hes taking that day off, but sure thats why Tom is looking towards robots lol
Thank you so much for the nice comment 😊
He is 65 years young, he will probably slow down abit but always want to keep his hand in. Up after 5:30 everyday 🙈
Out of all the youtube farmers that work along with their father, i have to say, the relationship between you and your dad is to be admired, its definitely not an easy thing to work with family, especially fathers and sons, but its refreshing to see you both get along so well, I've noticed a couple of other youtube farmers regularly complain about their dad's on their channel, so its very nice to see you both. Id love to get 18 holes with the Ginger Warrior, it would be some craic i reckon. Hes great humour. Take care
Tom...just watched the Hoof GP on a farm of 600 beasts. I’m trying to work out how you guys can lash cash at new barn for big money on 150+ cows. I know, from expérience in Wensleydale that farmers are notorius about not talking about finance, futures, costs...maybe YT keeps you guys afloat. Respect.
Good Stuff
Hi Tom just made a triple bale spike for a customer now they don't want it . It has a manitou head stock be perfect for u save alot of messing around 👍
255th! GOOD MORNING TOM! YIPPEE! From Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA 😊
Hard work
lovely video; wish i could smell that straw.
Seams a waste to bed on oat straw. We always fed it! Been watching your channel over a year now. Always enjoy it. Got out of milking 20 years ago and took up foottrimming! Say hi to Ross!
We just take what we can get locally 😊 will do 😊
Great team work but I can’t help notice that the loads didn’t seem to be strapped on don’t know about Lancashire police but Cheshire police are very hot on this and will tell you that no matter how short the trip if you are on public roads the loads wether 1 bale or 25 must be secured
I did think that too not good
That is 6 foot stray bales . We have some farmers do bigger bales 6 foot around here and some do regular size bales or big round bales or small round bales. Here in Central Indiana We rotate field’s . Because crop rotation helps to manage your soil and fertility to reduce erosion, improve your soil’s health, increases nutrients available for crops to grow healthy.
Obviously you didn't get the memo regarding your Dads decision on bale size Tom 😅😂. Farming never stops hope these bales see you nicely through winter.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
The bales look like large weatabix
Probably taste nicer 😉
Have you ever thought of a big bale transtacker?
Good video Tom some thing a bit different for you keep up the great videos 👏👏👍👍
