      yes and no
      you can make something that looks like a railgun but it wont work the same way a railgun does, railguns actually use a pair of rails the projectile sits in between, and the way the magnetic field accelerates the projectile is different
      but maybe im wrong

      Master Channel You guys know they're really just for tourism, right? They're expensive to build, even more expensive to maintain, and impossible to repair. They aren't good for the environment either. Every single one is equipped with lithium ion batteries that are considered precious metal. Oh and they weigh TONS, almost as much as lead. On top of that, the mining process alone is way more dangerous than fracking, and causes environmental damage. If that wasn't bad enough, the power source for maglevs is usually coal or radioactive substances. Not really saving the environment. Oh and they are the world's most dangerous vehicle. Basically the worst vehicle ever. Unless you want to move at outrageous speeds just to arrive an hour early. By the way, don't try to diss me on this, my entire college thesis was on this topic.

    If you want to test which engine is faster, then connect then on diferential "ouputs" (semi-axles) and if "input" (cage) rotates, then those engines have different rpm, and direction of "input" also show which one is faster/slower
    Add bearing to timig "L" and if you want to go in reverse, "L" pointing right will turn horizontal part around, so it will look like mirrored "L"

    That analogy of electric engines with the viper coil and the magnetic field isn’t just an electric car, it’s the magnets system in any automobile, gas or electric

  • @clarkstone439
    @clarkstone439 4 роки тому

    If you took a third magnetic motor at 12:20, and hooked it up to a drive shaft leading to the unpowered wheels, you could have a reverse.
    And if your worried about being able to turn with these kinds of engines, there are these farm tractors or construction rigs that have a waist. All of their turning comes from bending in the middle, which could be mimicked via two pistons on each side of a hinge, which is located in the middle of the vehicle.

  • @KY.Jelly07

    your "L shaped distributor piece" is causing the wobble to the engine. you need to balance the drive shaft. leave the L shape painted black and set sensors to black, fill in the counterweight part of the distributor and paint it white so it wont trigger the sensors but will balance the weight. love the creativity btw

      if you don't know what a stepper motor is (i can't imagine that), it is a motor with 2 sets of coils that can be powered it both ways + to - and vica vera. thatway you can rotate it step by step in the direction you want.
      irl those often have 200 or more steps per revolution but it would be great to have at least 4 or 8.

    Alternator's, generators and motors are all pretty much set up the same way in regards to magnets and copper wire. It just how you want it to work. For instance, you can generally take an electric motor and turn it into a generator by spinning the shaft to produce electricity instead of receiving it. Also, the only difference between a generator and alternator is how the internals work and an alternator can ge called a generator in the simplest of terms.
    Mechanical is always going to have more torque than mechanical because it is physically moving something. While eletrical or propulsion has to rely on the magnetics field generatad to turn the object and the only way it's going to get more torque is with a larger magnetic field which will make the design bigger.
