Seabrook were the first company to make crinkle cut crisps, I remember as a kid in the 80s in the pub beer garden (parents weren't generally allowed to take children inside pubs back then) a bottle of coca cola (glass bottle) with a straw and a packet of beef flavour Seabrook crisps. The beef flavour ones are quite strong
Love niknaks. All the flavours are good. Nice and spicy are tasty but not really spicy. It's the texture I like are about them and the flavours are good and unique.
I remember as a kid in the 90's hula hoops used to have one big one some some packs and I think you got a prize, that was when I think it was walkers that used to have a gold thing with a prize in it as well. Those were the days you could also collect things in cereal boxes like pogs and mini football players
I have not finished the video but if you haven’t got it monster munch is good people don’t have this one normally I think but I think the red packet is the best one the spicy one it’s called I think
There aren't really Marmite-flavoured Twiglets; it's just that they happen to taste quite like Marmite. There's an episode of Mr Bean where he's hosting a New Year's Eve party and at the last moment realizes he's run out of Twiglets, so he cuts up a bunch of twigs from a tree outside and dips them in Marmite.
Twiglets are my all time favourite crisps. An acquired taste sure, but God I love them. They used to make a Worcestershire sauce flavour years ago that were devine. How I miss those.
If you can get hold of them, Cadbury does a small range of Christmas cakes, like mini Yule logs, rudolf cakes, stuff like that. Also fun fact, DJ Qualls, the actor, loves BBQ beef hula hoops!
Pepsi owns Lays, Lays own Walkers, Walkers used to own KP, most of KP now owned by Tatyos. Pespi will never rename Walkers to Lays, as Walkers has the biggest crisps factories in the World,
It's no technically British but it is a staple in my household at Christmas and that is Stollen. Best way to describe it is mix a doughnut with a Christmas cake and give it a marzipan filling and dust with powdered sugar.
Stollen is definitely not very common here in the US, but I happened to grow up with a German grandma who baked it every year. 😀 It's not my favorite, but I'd love to try some other varieties. Thanks for the suggestion!
I worked in a place many years ago that used to order tons of stollen and panettone at Xmas. This resulted in lots of them ending up unsold. As a result myself and a couple of coworkers would end up having these unsold stollen and panettone with our tea/coffee for months afterwards. Trust me you can get sick of them very quickly.
Makes sense that hula hoops and pringles have a similar texture as they're both made of potato starch rather than the thin slices of potato that most crisps are made of.
Marmite is a trademark. You can buy marmite crisps but twiglets are yeasty, which is what marmite is. Worchester sauce crisps are great, as are Henderson's relish (essentially a similar thing but with no anchovies in). Seabrook's prawn cocktail are the best, hands down. I hate marmite but love twiglets, go figure. Oh, I think you can also get bovril crisps (beef extract but I don't think they even have beef in it any more now).
I have in front of me, a mince pie from a brand new range… winter berry, clementine and gin with a clementine flavoured crumble topping…. Right, I ate it cold, on its own…it was different because of the clementine flavour…but it would probably be really yummy served warm with a blob of hot custard or double cream…. 👍🏻🥰 mince pies are very easy to make yourself if you cannot buy ready made ones in the supermarket. A Christmas isn’t Christmas without a stock of mince pies in the cupboard! Do you have Christmas Pudding in the US? My pud for this year is flavoured with Drambuie! Now that will be ‘sigh’ just gawwjuss!
Late but those theee macoys flavours normaly come together anyway you get the meat muiri bag and the basic muiltibag (containinh salt n vineger. Chees n onion and lastly reddy salted)
Christmas foods I would suggest are sweet mince pies, Christmas cake, Christmas pudding with custard, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese and Jacobs crackers with chutneys or pickles like branston sweet pickle along with a cheese board, we have a cheese board on Christmas Eve with crackers, chutneys and cured meats 👍 ps love your trying British food vids
Twiglets do indeed have Marmite. Check out the Mr Bean episode where he is preparing for a party, when he realises he's out of Twiglets so he grabs some twigs off the tree outside his kitchen window and dips them in the Marmite jar, as a substitute 😂
Technically Walkers and Golden Wonder do Tommy k flavour but they're a bish to find. An IT issue at Walkers is stopping them being made. Don't know Golden Wonders excuse.
Steak Macoys go great in a crisp sandwich, and the Canadian Ham is quality with a nice cold beer... I think you may have over meated your taste buds with the Macoys, because they are indeed strong in seasoning! :D
I prefer cheese and onion McCoys and beef Hula Hoops and rib Nik Naks. I prefer Chicken and herbs Sensations. Salt and vinegar chipstick sandwiches were a fav of mine as a child. Love twiglets because I love marmite LOL - Marmite was my daughter's first word LOL
Seabrook are my favourite crisps (specifically the ready salted and the Canadian Ham) I always think that they have loads of flavour, I'm now a little scared to taste US chips if you think the English ones are bland ...
I think it might be because the Canadian Ham uses a different kind of flavoring? I feel like most crisps you can see/taste a powder substance on them. Maybe that's the difference?
Might be a bit late to this party but north of England 🏴 ❤️ and south of Scotland you should get some XL Cheese! They are the best if you love cheesy crisps!
I think most British Christmas stuff is based on American things so might not be much of a difference, great choices on crisps though, definitely love McCoys especially the Thai Sweet Chicken ones and those niknaks :D
Thanks! We've gotten some suggestions of things to try Marmite in that we are interested in trying. Have you attempted putting Marmite in soups or anything? Or do you completely dislike it in everything?
Christmas in uk … Quality Street, after eight mints .. with dinner we have , bread sauce , pigs in blanket . However my kids prefer US treats . And I’m loving egg nog. So not massively different to yours .
Unfortunately Seabrooks have dropped in flavour levels in recent years... if you're lucky enough to get a strong bag they are amazing.. but they used to be famous for the strongest flavours.
To be fair there were a lot fewer suggestions for Twiglets, but it was one of the things we could find here. Whoever decided to carry them in their British shop is pretty evil too. 😆
Check out this video where we try EVEN MORE crisps: ua-cam.com/video/2H2h0WOcVWA/v-deo.html&t
How about next time you guy have Italian deserts?
Do you guys have kids?
Twiglets are traditionally eaten at Christmas time in the UK. They're more-or-less unseen all year until then.
Oh good to know! We'll have to look for the beef ones.
crazy how watching 2 Americans reviewing our food can be be son entertaining, great job guys
Awe, thank you!
Twigglets are marmite. Jacobs are McVities, Which in the US it used to be Nabisco.
I can’t believe how much enjoyment I’m getting out of watching you two ,love it keep up the good work 😊
Scampi & Lemon flavour Nik Naks are...the bollocks! That means very good btw.
What are the ham and mustard flavour homemade crisps they are powerful
Love niknaks. All the flavours are good. Nice and spicy are tasty but not really spicy. It's the texture I like are about them and the flavours are good and unique.
Good to know! We'll have to try the other flavors.
I miss the scampi and lemon niknaks #bringthemback#

Another incredible flavour crisps are brannigans roast beef & mustard crisps, immense flavour, enjoy.
I love scanpi and lemon nik naks!!!
Good to know. We'll see if we can track some down. Thanks!
Twiglets are really nice when you are getting boozed up. Excellent Christmas snacks.
Lol that sounds fair.
I remember as a kid in the 90's hula hoops used to have one big one some some packs and I think you got a prize, that was when I think it was walkers that used to have a gold thing with a prize in it as well. Those were the days you could also collect things in cereal boxes like pogs and mini football players
Oh interesting. Thanks for the info!
I have not finished the video but if you haven’t got it monster munch is good people don’t have this one normally I think but I think the red packet is the best one the spicy one it’s called I think
I'm from the UK, and I just wanted to say that you guys are awesome. Loving all of your videos 😁
For Christmas stuff: mince pies with brandy butter; Christmas pudding; mulled wine.
Sounds good. Thanks!
You need to eat Twiglets whilst downing a few beers!
That sounds like it could be good! 😂
My favourite crisps were Branigans roast beef and mustard. Sadly, they were discontinued last year.
That is sad!
Haha that's hilarious! 😂
Can't believe I'm watching people eat crisps. I like it though 🤣🤣
Lol that's fair. 😂
LOL
Twiglets are my all time favourite crisps. An acquired taste sure, but God I love them. They used to make a Worcestershire sauce flavour years ago that were devine. How I miss those.
🤮🤮🤮
I love nick naks. The bbq rib flavour is amazing.
They do do a scampi flavour which is okay but very battered fish flavoured, unique!
Ooh we will have to look for both of those. Thanks!
brannigans ham and mustard best ever!
A very delicious christmas snack is smoked bacon & stilton sandwich,on white bread, immense flavour, enjoy.
If you can get hold of them, Cadbury does a small range of Christmas cakes, like mini Yule logs, rudolf cakes, stuff like that.
Also fun fact, DJ Qualls, the actor, loves BBQ beef hula hoops!
Thank you for the suggestion! I also love that fun fact! I met him once. He was very nice. And now I know that he likes Hula Hoops. 😂
Pepsi owns Lays, Lays own Walkers, Walkers used to own KP, most of KP now owned by Tatyos. Pespi will never rename Walkers to Lays, as Walkers has the biggest crisps factories in the World,
Nick nacks you should definitely try rib and saucy ones and the sensations you should try the roast chicken and thyme.
Yeyyy great to see you again doing food videos love these videos.take care you two happy Halloween 🎃
Thank you! Happy Halloween!
Tip before opening crisps you should shake the bag really well as all the flavour is in the bottom of the bag
Have you had pickled onion monster munch ? Quavers are what I had when I was a kid . Hula hoops plain were my absolute favourites!
We have! Jeremy liked it, but I wasn't the biggest fan. We both really enjoy the Hula Hoops!
I do enjoy your food videos! And of course the travel videos too. For Christmas foods how about figgy pudding and Yorkshire pudding?
Thank you for the suggestions! We haven't tried figgy pudding, so we'll see if we can find it.
It's no technically British but it is a staple in my household at Christmas and that is Stollen. Best way to describe it is mix a doughnut with a Christmas cake and give it a marzipan filling and dust with powdered sugar.

Niknaks are the one
Which flavor though?
Try the lamb and mint sauce Seabrook crisps. Love watching you two, you should visit Blackpool on your next visit to UK xx
Cool thing about the beef McCoy's is they're actually vegetarian.
Didn't know that. Thanks!
Do you have mince pies over there you should try those if not?
We don't really eat mince pies here. We will have to give them a whirl. Thanks for the suggestion!
Nik Naks nice n spicy are my childhood highlight!!
Makes sense that hula hoops and pringles have a similar texture as they're both made of potato starch rather than the thin slices of potato that most crisps are made of.
Oh that does make sense!

Where did you get those mince pies?
Sounds yummy!
I am obsessed with Twiglets, but then I am obsessed with Marmite. Marmite is very divisive! You love it or hate it.
Late but those theee macoys flavours normaly come together anyway you get the meat muiri bag and the basic muiltibag (containinh salt n vineger. Chees n onion and lastly reddy salted)
Mcoys flame grilled steak are the best
They are so good!

Thank you! We have some friends gathering some of these for us, so I think we'll be able to try most of your suggestions. 😀
Fab!! Can't wait to watch the video 👍
Twiglets do indeed have Marmite. Check out the Mr Bean episode where he is preparing for a party, when he realises he's out of Twiglets so he grabs some twigs off the tree outside his kitchen window and dips them in the Marmite jar, as a substitute 😂
You should try Dorritos chilli heatwave🌶️ guys they are very tasty and one of my favourite crisps 😋👌🏻
Aww I love you guys I think your great 👍 x
Seabrook used to do tomato ketchup flavour I loved them as a kid 😋 sweet chilli sensations are my favourite!
Technically Walkers and Golden Wonder do Tommy k flavour but they're a bish to find. An IT issue at Walkers is stopping them being made. Don't know Golden Wonders excuse.
You need the scampi and lemon niknaks they are the best 👌..
We have looked for them, but have had trouble finding them. Hopefully soon we can try them!
You should try the Thai sweet chilli sensations dipped in Philadelphia cheese spread - SO good
Love sweet chili. That sounds good.
Try Brannigans roast beef and mustard
Got to add that to our list. Thanks!
Steak Macoys go great in a crisp sandwich, and the Canadian Ham is quality with a nice cold beer... I think you may have over meated your taste buds with the Macoys, because they are indeed strong in seasoning! :D
❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍love . Sensations are my fave
Could always try different quality mince pies for Xmas or Xmas puddings
Thanks for the suggestion!
We still need to try the ribs Nik Naks!
@@TheMagicGeekdom they’re yummy 🤤
Try Kentucky fried chicken walkers max you would love them 😋
We'll have to look for them. Thanks!
Get some tins of chocolates, Roses, Hero’s, Quality Street, Celebration, lindor Chocolates ( they have different flavours) Enjoy pigging out,
Thanks for the suggestion!
Seabrook are my favourite crisps (specifically the ready salted and the Canadian Ham) I always think that they have loads of flavour, I'm now a little scared to taste US chips if you think the English ones are bland ...

Seabrook's Ready Salted are my favourite salted crisp
The funny thing is I hate marmite and yet love Twiglets. Also love the Nice and Spicy Nik Naks.
Might be a bit late to this party but north of England 🏴 ❤️ and south of Scotland you should get some XL Cheese! They are the best if you love cheesy crisps!
Sorry if you already have but they are the BEST!
We do need to try those!
Space raiders?
Chopsticks make great crisp sandwiches
Good to know!
Sensations are fire
McCoys Thai sweet chicken 😀😀😀 you guys should try tayto smoky bacon😀
Smoky bacon sounds lovely.
Scampi and lemon niknaks are the only choice
We'll have to try them. Thanks!
I think most British Christmas stuff is based on American things so might not be much of a difference, great choices on crisps though, definitely love McCoys especially the Thai Sweet Chicken ones and those niknaks :D
That's a good point. The McCoys were great! We are looking forward to trying the other NikNaks.
I love Crisps and snack.
Thai chicken McCoy's, levels when youve had a smoke
Friend of mine stuffs Tuna Mayonnaise into Hula Hoops and eats it that way :/
That's interesting, but I'm not sure if it sounds that good.
Rib and sauce, and scampy and lemon
Salt and vinegar McCoy’s are as good as the steak imo
Ooh that sounds good to one of us lol! Thanks!
@@TheMagicGeekdom I know , the one named Jeremy with the more trustworthy tastes !
@Bunty 4 Haha fair.
The OGs remember Curry Twiglets , whay happened to them
What got you into British culture?
What about Smiths / Walkers English crisps
We try the Smiths Fries in this video: ua-cam.com/video/nVmaKvFRpds/v-deo.html
Try Walkers Cheese and Onion :)
I think we have, but it's been so long that I'm not totally sure. 😆
@@TheMagicGeekdom you have I found it on your other video :) yeah you both loved them lol
You should cleanse your palate after each one with some juice or water, otherwise the flavours will get mixed up.
That's a good point. Thanks!
some how walkers french fries have escaped notice.... just sayin
Marmite you either love or hate and yeah I would say twiglets are like Marmite. I hate Marmite and twiglets, I'm from the UK :) great video.
Thanks! We've gotten some suggestions of things to try Marmite in that we are interested in trying. Have you attempted putting Marmite in soups or anything? Or do you completely dislike it in everything?

To be fair there were a lot fewer suggestions for Twiglets, but it was one of the things we could find here. Whoever decided to carry them in their British shop is pretty evil too. 😆
Twiglets are the best.
I'll take your word for it. 😆
Only problem with McCoys is every bag has at least one dud crisp; not as crunchy, weird taste.
Interesting. I don't know that we noticed that. We'll have to keep an out next time we try some.
Nobody actually likes Twiglets... you just can't stop eating them. Very moreish. You'll be like "eww... I'll have another one"
This guy reminds me of the bank manager from money heist 😏
Interesting. We haven't watched that.
a lot of the uk meat flavoured crisps are actually vegetarian so the flavour is really realistic but don't use actual meat
Good to know! Thanks!
it baffles me who suggests British snacks and food. -.- im baffled honestly!!!!!!!!!!!! these are just nostalgia , not the best uk
Crisps, Crisps......not chips😁 chips go with fish
Is that a thing?
Nik naks are not British they are South African
There are two different Nik Naks. We tried the British ones.
