Thank you sweetie , im experimenting too and ive found soaking in acetone works quite well with different products like polyfoam and silicone might help you too.😊😊

The sticky one is clearly the best - you just have to keep up working it, until it doesn't stick to you hands any more. Trust me it will happen but will take some time. Like five to ten minutes of working, stretching and folding. I think the sticky version is more homogen and ready to proceed where the other just needs more time to evenly suck up the humidity of the water. It's cumbersome, to have to do this over and over, and. I think the result turns a little more brittle each time. It might be a good thing to finally invest in a food grade vacuum sealer. Just ordered 1.5 kg of pixiss forming foam, it should maintain flexibility after drying. But the huge amount will not likely be used within two weeks, and start to make a dry skin in the bucket. So I'm going to invest into the sealer, and store the foam in handy smaller packages.

Hi! Thank you for the tips! You might be right with the sticky clay, I plan to do another of those videos in the future with other suggestions also, so I‘ll definitely try this 😅 I think my impatience got me there
And the vacuum sealer is a really nice idea! My family actually has one, I think I‘m going to use this for some of my foam clay, this could save a lot of work 😊

Love you’re content!! I am also foam clay obsessed. Und ich spreche auch deutsch 😅. Lebe aber in den USA seit 2013.
Ich hab nen tip! Try what the slime community does! They activate their slime with a water borax solution. 1tsp borax to 1 cup water. It takes away the stickiness. The foam clay has very similar ingredients as slime . that’s how I got the idea and it worked for me.

Awww danke das ist so lieb 🥰🥰 und danke für den Tipp! Keine ahnung was borax ist, aber ich werde das auf jeden Fall recherchieren 😄
Spannend! Bist du aus Deutschland/Österreich ausgewandert? :)

Today I was using foam clay to detail around some foam dragons horns (making a dragon cosplay . Only to find the clay (stilll sealed in the pot ) was soft on the outside.but hard on the inside . I had to fill a plastic cup with water . Took a lump .left to soak for a while. Returned .bit sticky but mouldable . Conclusion ot sort of work .good tip you done thx 😊 👍

I never thought this clay could get hard from the inside out 😳 I‘m really glad this helped 🥰
I got a question, because you‘re working on bigger pieces… how do you blend your clay so you don‘t get weird wrinkly surfaces? 😅 I want to make nice, big figures but haven‘t found a solution for that with the bohs clay

I chopped ir up. Wrapped in a kitchen cloth ... left it to soak in a beautiful of water .. Next day squeezed out the excess water. And was moldable.. adding water when moulding .I blended in . I did the same for making dragons claws for the custom footwear

It is clearly cheating adding fresh clay. What is the use of making the clay soft if you had to buy fresh one!

    • @the.sarahworld
      @the.sarahworld  4 місяці тому

yes I see your point 😂 I‘m planning to do another video without using fresh clay. But if you leave the microwaved clay in the bag for a few hours it also works :) I just wasn‘t patient enough

3rd one you could have just added flour and it would have been perfect.
By the way what clay did you break up as don't see to seen that type here in England UK

I do this but I cut it into tiny pieces and continue adding water until it becomes soft

Hahah thats true 🤣 But the microwave-method also works without fresh clay if you leave it in a bag until the next day :) Just not too long and not too wet, one of mine got moldy after I forgot it in a bag 😅

Hi :) I buy my clay here www.bohstoys.com/collections/arts-crafts-1 But they only ship to Canada, US, UK and Europe I think. Otherwise there are often other options on amazon too, I hope you can find something for you!
