Thank you for adding how you deal with clay that dries out a bit. That is my worry working with foam clay, because it can be expensive to get and having pieces dry out while using it can be a waste
ohh yes, i threw away a lot of clay because it was dried completely but you can actually revive clay - I have a video about that where I make 6 month old clay like new again 😊
bellissimo progetto, grazie mille, adoro il foam clay e delle idee servono sempre! mi sono isritta al tuo bel canale, sono contenta di averti scoperta. Una carezza ai tuoi meravigliosi gatti 🥰
Hiii have you ever tried glazing them? Can you make a video wherein you glazed them using resin and also varnish? I’m kind of scared to glaze my foamclay works, and i also wanna see what works best, either resin or varnish. Would really love to see you making a content like that ❤❤
hiii @nothingbuttrends7975 🥰 I actually glaced one figure with resin, it is really easy because of the kind of „furry“ surface of the dried foam clay. But I never tried anything else so I would definitely make a video about that 😊💪 thanks so much for this idea! ❤️ (am currently on holiday for a week but after that 🫡)
thank yoou 🥰🥰 hahah I totally understand, I rarely show how much I mess up during these projects 😂 I‘m VERY clumsy. But you can always just make them bigger oder just draw on the tiny parts when it‘s dry 😊 and it definitely gets easier over time!
Hi! I wanted to make a cat ring holder and some rings out of this clay as a gift for a friend. I was just wondering if that's a good idea and should i glaze the clay with sth to make it more durable perhaps ?? After this video i will be making some magnets for her too! Thank you for the inspo! Amazing video 🤍
Thank you so much!!☺️ That is such a cute idea! I think a ring holder could work, maybe think about adding some weight on/in the bottom because this clay is very light or maybe buy like a coaster you can attach it to :) Making rings out of this clay could be tricky, I can‘t say if it would work, maybe for that it‘s better to use polymer clay 😅 For glazing it… I used uv resin, which works really well because it attaches to the kinda „furry“ surface :) But then you loose the cool feeling of the clay surface 😅
Awesome video! I'd like to know how do you keep them clean? I made some of my own but when I tried to clean them with water they lost their shape. Thank you in advance.
ahh yes that‘s a problem I‘m facing a lot. Water is not suitable because in theory you could make the clay soft again with water. I like to use a feather duster or dust cloth and just wipe them clean from dust and hairs. But if you want to protect it from other type of dirt maybe it would be better to coat the clay piece with UV resin :) then you can clean it with a wet cloth too 😄
aww thank you @snehagudla4171 🥰 In the first week or so, yes, but after its completely dry it‘s surprisingly sturdy :) Maybe I‘ll add a part about the sturdiness of foam clay in my next videos 😉
Beautiful magnets👌🏻😻 I'm new to this clay thing...I want to know can we use foam clay to make jewellery like mini charms for earrings etc... or for that purpose we have to use polymer clay only? Going to make these magnets😁
thank yoouu @odettestarling9253 ☺️ i think you could do some special parts for earrings with foam clay, but its reeeaally light, it gets a bit more robust when it dried for a week and you could cover it with epoxy or something but then it looses its kinda soft surface 🤔 but i don‘t think you could comfortably use it instead of polymer clay
Hmm right....Can you make a video of trying to make mini charms/jewellery with foam clay itself....and then tell the differences between using pol clay/other sturdy air dry Clays and foam clay🤔 Thank you for the tips💖🙈
hi @tatak4368 thank you!! ☺️ Yes, foam clay just needs to airdry :) Depending on how thick it is it can take up to a week, but after 1-2 days its relatively sturdy. If you put something into it like these magnets, I would give it a few days before using it or the magnets could get ripped out 😅 speaking from experience
hi ☺️ I haven‘t yet tried to make it myself but I always wanted to! I think there are also some videos from other people about it! But I think I will try that for one of my next videos 😊😊
@@the.sarahworld omg hiii thank you so much for taking time to read my comment & reply to me, I'll be patiently waiting for your videos ^^ (I did look up for some tutorials but I still didn't try them out, thank you for trying & sharing with us, I'll subscribe to your channel to be able to know what you experiment with next) ♡♡
aww welcome 🥰 unfortunately I have a lot less time at the moment 😭 I‘m learning to program so I can afford my crafts hahah but trying to make foam clay is at the top of my list 😊
No it is not really durable and absolutely not waterresistant unfortunately. But you could cover it with resin to make it waterresistant and a lot more durable. I have actually two videos on that topic :) ua-cam.com/video/TwlXZcDbTv8/v-deo.html This one is about using foam clay for earrings... ua-cam.com/video/9-LXmqKCigY/v-deo.html and in this one I make some earrings out of foam clay and cover it with resin :)
it depends a little bit on the foam clay brand and the humidity of your environment 😅 so for the first weeks they are more squishy but can get harder (but also softer if it‘s very humid) over time. If you watch my video where I compare different foam clays I also show how squishy they are after drying :)
this is air drying clay :) I like to put the pieces on a really soft surface so they don‘t get flat on the bottom and then I store them in a drawer (so they don’t collect dust while drying) for a few days until they are dry
unfortunately I‘ve no idea what mod podge is 😅 but I think it depends on how you want your clay to look. I used fimo semi glossy varnish which just adds a bit of shine but not a lot of protection. uv resin works really well as protection but it gets really shiny and doesnt look like foam clay anymore
it‘s a company for children toys who also make foam clay. I think they are based in the US but you also get it in europe :) just google „bohs toys foam clay“ and you should get some results 😊

@@Ronell4021 if i am not wrong they said in some cmnts that it dry pretty hard but u have to leave it for atleast a week.

Because i was going to use hot glue.
So cute
thank you ❤️❤️
I want to know one thing.
Do you Air dry them or did you bake them in the oven?
Tbh those ar extremely cute ❤

@@the.sarahworld okay, thanks for the information! ❤
So you don't need to wet it or score it like you would with traditional clay to stick the pieces together?
Hi! ☺️ No, you can just stick this clay together and it instantly attaches. Except when it dries out too much then you would need a bit of water :)
@@the.sarahworld awesome, thanks 👍

how many days to wait for the clay to completely dry ?
it depends on how big the piece is but for these magnets about 5-7 days for them to be completely dry and sturdy
🤗🤗🤗
Do they dry off on their own?
yes :) it‘s air drying clay, you just have to be careful while it dries because it takes 1-2 days until its harder on the outside
hi..what kind of clay you use? what brand? tnx
hi! i use Foam Clay from the brand „BOHS“ so far the best I tried (i will upload a video trying different foam clays soon 😊)
