i’m a woman and im surprised how little information there is about this seeming like an obviously better purchase than the regular Omnilux Contour mask..? It’s crazy how marketing works lol
I'm a woman and I have the men's mask. I've been using consistently for 2 months and the results have been mind blowing. But it's hard for me to say that it's better than the regular mask as I never tried that one to compare it to
RE: Far infrared vs Near Infrared. Far infrared wavelengths are longer relative to 830nm and 1072nm, however, far infrared is superficially absorbed by the water in your skin before it can penetrate into deep tissue. If you're in an IR sauna, the far infrared heats up the skin water and over the ~30-to-40-minute session the heat sinks deeper thus affecting core temperature.
@@AllergicToFantasy I use it only 2 to 3 times a week because I started using the Nira laser a month a half ago. Before the Nira I was using it almost every day. I hope to get back to that soon. Thanks for this review Alex. I have already a Hooga panel pro 300 for same face skin issues that this mask (wrinkles, skin tone, collagen production, etc). Do you think I reach the same benefits from the panel, more powerful for skincare, than this OmniLux mask? Cause I do panel at 6” for 5 minutes but this mask is closer to skin and thought, maybe triggers better skin issues
Hey, yeah I will have to do a mask vs panel comparison. But honestly you're probably better off with the panel over a mask (that is a underpowered in comparison). Some people may prefer the mask because they can wear it and move around. Also there is the wavelength factor - the mask may have wavelengths that a panel doesn't have or vice versa so it's worth looking into that as well. But if you have a panel I wouldn't rush out to buy a mask.
Masks vs belts, maybe even handhelds (as choices for travelling) would be interesting, too. Results of longer term usage would be appreciated. Thanks for testing this mask!
Thank you for reviewing a mask! I've been looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. One thing to consider: a panel, although it's stronger, you probably won't stand in front of it for too long. The mask, I can put it on while watching tv and keep it for ca. 30min with no issues. I would not stand in front of a panel for more than 10 min :) So theoretically, because of the longer exposure time, I think if your goal is skin health etc. a mask is a better choice.
Yes this is a great point. In fact I just responded to another comment making the same argument - that sure a panel may have more power and offer better value, but the practicality (and portability) of a mask may be more important. I guess another pro for the panel though is you can use it to target other areas of the body.
Alex what is your recommendation for treating pain. ??? I get so confused by the numbers. Also, for skin benefits do you need or can benefit from the mask? I found this exact mask at discount from someone and I wonder if it's worth it. While it might be close to face , a panel is still stronger and I think will penetrate deeper ....right?? Qure is another popular big mask right now with custom options. I suffer from multiple types of autoimmune disease and arthritis including spine deterioration. Please explain the red bulbs that get hot and most set up in sauna like a heat lamp, are they beneficial also? I tried to compare mito , hooga , and platinum, which do believe is my best option????
@@LightTherapyInsiders couldn’t you lay it over your neck & chest and instead of buying the hand mitts lay it over each hand while watching TV in the evening. To get the most use.

Another fantastic review - thanks Alex! Would be interested to hear your thoughts and your wife's thoughts on the Omnilux. Would also be interested if you review other beauty/skincare devices. However, it makes more logical sense (when at home) to simply use a powerful full body red light panel.
Hey thank you :) I'm going start an experiment using this today. I haven't looked at other beauty products, but maybe this is something I can do. And yeah I keep going back to the panel because it's easier and better value :)
I would be interested to see if you saw any improvements in you skin after using the mask regularly, especially since you use the panels already. In other words, for optimal skin benefits, do you need a mask or will regular use of a panel be sufficient?
The 1072 wavelengths have shown to be beneficial in penetrating the skull. I’m particularly interested in devices for the head to prevent dementia as we may not see symptoms of mild cognitive impairment for 10-15 years. Hi Alex, great video! I actually want this mask, specifically because I'm a guy, I can lie down in bed and wear it, and not stand in front of my Biomax 450 (of course I'll still the panel model). I do the full 20 minutes with the Biomax unit. But when Omnilux came out with a men's mask, I was super excited. I a big believer in using red light therapy right before bed. I swear it makes me sleep better at night. That's just me. But to finally have a men's mask where I can lie in bed, have it on for ten minutes, and then take it off, and rollover and goto sleep, I'm all in. As for your comment about trying it for 4-6 weeks. I would, I'd be interested to see. Take before and after shots, plus you do it, not your wife. It's only ten minutes a day, I think you have time for that Bud. :) Anywho, a very interesting video. It's not something I have seen. And out of all the comments and emails I get, I can't think of anyone saying they have lost fat from their face.
