Yes, please do more of these feedback commentaries. Looks like it would be helpful if you asked the artists to send in everything they could about their paints, mediums and types of pours so you can give more targeted comments. Great fun and reassuring to me as a rank beginner at pour painting!
Good morning! Great to see one of my favorite artists with a new video. Watching you and Molly I always think I’m in the classroom and learning how to get better. 👍🏻 Gonna pick out one of my pieces and let you give me some pointers and ideas. One of these days…
Thank you so much for reviewing my paintings. It was extremely helpful! I’m constantly watching your videos and as you said it’s much harder than it looks…😉
Love these videos and great timing! I had some flocking happen in one of my paintings and, based on your comments, it was probably due to blending whites from Amsterdam and Blickrylic. Needed a quart of mixed white paint and didn’t want to “spend” more of my expensive brand.
@@LeftBrainedArtist ?? Not sure what a sticky pouring medium is beyond glue. Would the Liquitex paint thickner qualify? I just saw this item on the Blick website and it says it is specifically designed to thicken paint.
Advice on avoiding pinholes so helpful. I have been wondering why I kept getting them, I’ll be less vigorous when mixing. This painting looks as if they have used Molly’s dream cloud technique without white pearl mix.
@@LeftBrainedArtist nah - I’m pretty sure you’ve cracked it - no pun intended. Greetings from my pouring with rain island Nation. Cruel winter followed by calamitous spring and summer has so far been c**p!
I agree on how you'll get the colors to emerge out of the black, I use lots of black. Not easy to get consistent results as the paints have a mind of their own. I have one video up on here which is some of my best work. More of my work's on instagram with the same handle.. 😇😇😇😇 I flip cups and lay ribbons ALL day! Love your videos about pouring❤
Hi,, I have watched you for a while and you sure have come a long way,, You are SOOO INTERESTING!!!! I love the way you think out of the box,, I try to do the same. I have a question. I fell in Love with Painting and pouring with Resin, but discovered I am allergic to Resin, I am so disappointed. My first piece was an ocean table,, It came out Beautiful, I wish I could show you, Is there anything like a shiny coating or Poly I can mix with acrylic paint, alcohol inks, or mica powders that would be a dupe for Resin?? Thanks,, Your Awesome!!!
2:55pm Mesa AZ This may not coincide with your video. I have a question about a possible Base paint mistakenly purchased, but not opened yet. Glidden Essentials, Base 1 (Must be Tinted), GLE3011, SEMI- GLOSS, SEMI- BRILLIANTE, Interior paint. Should i have purchased the White version?😎
Base paint you want a color. For the color mix in paint that is where you want base without any color. If you are talking about Sheleeart blooms and those recipes.
@@JamesJones-ep1xd Not by itself as it is too thick. That is a big questions that I can't answer in comments. You might check out this video I made or lookup a Sheleeart blooms recipe video (I don't have a specific one). ua-cam.com/video/HmAmipC-pgM/v-deo.html
@@LeftBrainedArtist Thank you for your time answering my questions. I finally called Home Depot, and asked about my Glidden Essentials, indicated only as Base 1. Glidden (with or without Color indicated on the Can, "Base 1" IS White. So confusing, because it says "Must be Tinted"!!! Thank you Again for your time.
SO David. It is confusing to us beginners when you say thicker paint. I will explain. 1. you can thicken the paint by using more glue. 2. Or you can thicken the paint mixture by adding more paint. For the ones of us using amsterdamn student grade paint. 3. I follow your instruction on mixing the pouring medium with master craft glue. . So do we use more paint or more glue. Because i can get a beutifu; mixture using less paint. so does using more paint help the paint stick together better and dry better. PS thanks for this video. I did not get to send you my paintings in this time hope you do more.
Either works. If your color is as vibrant as you want it then use glue (cheaper). If the color isn't as deep as you want it, use more paint. Also keep in mind when acrylic paint dries it dries darker than it looks wet, especially when mixed with a white-ish medium like glue or Floetrol.
My canvases are warping after I pour on them... they're artists lost canvases. Have been great up until the last 2 batches, they're level when I place them in my cupboards which are level, next morning 2 out of 4 will be warped like crazy and my beautiful paintings are ruined.... help David please
I would probalby only use water. Would only take a few drops to thin at that point. Most of the ready to pour paints I have worked with are VERY thin already to begin with.
I've also filled the google form today, please review my paintings too David sir. ~Awani Jain I've learned from you and started doing acrylic paint pouring.
Thank you for a super video!!! So great to hear your advice and your explanations. I look forward to your next video. Thank you, David and Anna.
Glad to help my friend.

You can also add a tiny bit of a really sticky pouring medium to help keep it from floculating too.

Thank you for the feedback on my painting! I think mixing PMs is a problem. The premixed paint in the base, was thin. 😊
You’re welcome 😊 Glad to help. Thanks for letting us review them.
This is so cool!! It should be done more often.
If we keep getting feedback requests we may just make it more regular.

Not 100% but Liquitex Pouring Medium, GAC800 and Artist Loft Pouring medium are the closest I think.
Do it again. Very informative.
We'll see how many more people submit pictures and questions Sue.
