Hey David, I know you’re open to ideas for new videos and unless I missed it, how about one on different ways to hang your canvas? I see the many methods used (d rings, hooks, wire, saw tooth etc.) but trying to figure out which way is best.
I was going to comment on the last spray paint video you mentioned but thought others will suggest or point out these things. Hp and Lp was one. high pressure paint and low pressure. montana gold is Lp and comes with a nice cap. The other paints you had i do not use. not all are the same mixes. Theres acrylic enamel which takes forever to dry and does not mix well with standard acrylic spray paint. Caps were another area to dig in to, thin or fat and everything in between are available. and lastly, you can get water based spray paint such as molotow coverall. Montana is solvent based as you know so may act weird in water based paint.🤔 Liquitex do spray paint and again, thats a different blend so theres much fun to be had. Ive been spray painting a while and only just got in to pours [only done one]. Living in the uk means certain things like aussie floetrol is just asking to be shafted so im taking my time to watch as many vids as i can to be a tad more wise on what i need. Your videos have helped tremendously to that end so many thanks for that.
You are so welcome! I wish on the second one I used less of the pink as it took over. Maybe added some spraypaint in the middle before spinning the first time too. But I definitely learned a lot.
Very cool! And haha yep I cut containers to scrape out every bit I can get. I do it with lotion bottles as well, and a hacksaw blade comes in handy for some of those containers.
Oh that is so knew I think , this the first time I seen that , it is so cool , could you please give the name of those spray paints, are they acrylic o what ? I’ll be glad to try that too. Thanks a lot for your helpin this matter.. God bless you👍
Love your video David. Could I ask if spray paints come in different consistencies - enamel, acrylic? Do spray paints dry quicker than acrylic out of the tube? Thank you.
I’m so spun out (not intended but haha), from trying to figure out all these mixings and densities and consistencies and I just realized I have TWO floetrol quarts - one is in an orange bottle with white lid and one is in a white bottle with orange lid. Both are for LATEX, and both have the model #FLD6. These were purchased like 10 years ago when I was gonna try PP back then but never did. Are they both the same? How can they be? I’m hallucinating.
I’ve been watching you since the very beginning of your experience. Your tips and comparisons have been invaluable. I need some clarification. Why do so many artists use house paint? I use liquitex and gac 800 as a medium mixed with white or whatever color Acrylic paint to help glide acrylic paint over the surface of the canvas if I do a Dutch pour or some other kind of pour that requires movement. I don’t understand the use of house paint. Jackson Pollock used house paint and it resulted in cracking. But the whole idea of using latex paint with acrylic seems weird to me. Please advise me and let me know the reasons. Regards
1st reason - How paint as a base for the sheleeart bloom because of how different it moves when you have other paints on top of it. That is why it is called a pillow. Lets the paints on top get less spread out but allows for them to move without distorting the rest of the colors. 2nd reason - make paint "lighter" or less dense to make cloud pours or the types of pours that Sarah Taylor does. Otherwise it can help reduce costs for base coats but it does interact differently than regular acrylic paint so I don't geneerally use it besides the two points above.
Sticking to what I know instead of listening to this guy. My paintings were so much better until I took tips from you. Sorry bud. And they're way better looking than his too not trying to brag but they are. They're fuckin amazing
Don't ever listen to this guy about stirring up your silicon a lot you get tiny cells only stir a couple times then leave it alone. I fucked up and listen to him and wasted a shit ton of paint and ended up with a shitty painting. Thanks dude
Well done David love it
Thanks my friend.
I LOVE your experiments. I learn so much. Thanks
I'm so glad you keep coming back Michelle. Thanks for watching.
Interesting, very interesting. I liked both the silver and gold.
Thanks Rebecca.
That is so cool!
Thanks Carol!
Love the result, nice to see you're back
Thank you so much! 😊
Looking forward to the dry results! Nice to hear your voice and watch your experiments again
Thank you Cindy. Pictures coming tomorrow.
Gorgeous David❤
Thanks Kathy!
Great idea cutting the tube in half to get it all.
I'm a little bit of a penny pincher for sure Renea. 8)
That was awesome!! Love the results. Can’t wait to see them dry.
Going to post them later today. I was surprised at how shiny they still were.
Every time wen i have problème whit My paint i chek your vidéo every time ,you have allways à good idea ❤❤
Happy to hear that Sylvie.
So nice. I love the gold.
Thanks Robin. I do need to try another gold one with less opaque paint and less paint all together so it doesn't get spun off so much.
Looks fun to try
It was eye opening for sure Linda.
Great experiment, I'd like to see more 😊 thanks for sharing
More to come for sure Cheryl.
So cool ❤
Thanks Callie.
Going to try that today
Let me know how it goes.

I'll add that to the list for sure. Thanks so much!
Love it
Thanks Rosemary.
Really pretty. Wonder if you could adapt the first technique and use same colours to make several large puzzles on black base then wreck and tilt?
That is an interesting idea.
Predictive text strikes again. Meant puddles of course but thanks for not pointing it out!
@@JosiWeaver-re5wt 🤣
Hello David! Good to see you! xx 🎉
Hello there Fran!
That was fun and new 😊 really liked the reaction on the first painting 👍 looking forward to the dry results
Yeah, the first one was way better than the 2nd. I think the acrylic art paints work much better than industrial spray paints.
I was going to comment on the last spray paint video you mentioned but thought others will

👍👍🏆
Love this and love the colors and information thank you 😊🎉🎉❤
Thanks for watching!
So glad it was helpful. I really like how this turned out too.
You are so welcome! I wish on the second one I used less of the pink as it took over. Maybe added some spraypaint in the middle before spinning the first time too. But I definitely learned a lot.
I havent poured in a little over two years. When I get back into it I will use fluorescent and let you know.
👍👍

Hacksaw blade?!? I like the way you think Heather.
Great work, I really enjoyed the process.I'm gonna try spray paint.I wonder how fluorescent spray paint would turn out.Thank you.
That is a good question. Let me know if you try Tom.
Oh that is so knew I think , this the first time I seen that , it is so cool , could you please give the name of those spray paints, are they acrylic o what ? I’ll be glad to try that too. Thanks a lot for your helpin this matter.. God bless you👍
I'll put the names in the description as soon as I get home.
Ps. check out montanas special effects sprays! hologram glitter to crackle effects. Even glow in the dark👀
I will. Thanks for the suggestion.
Love your video David.

Do spray paints dry quicker than acrylic out of the tube?
Thank you.
Yes and yes. I need to do more testing but that is my anecdotal experience so far.

And WOWWW that painting is gorgisimo! ❤
Those are the same. They used to make one acrylic based and one latex based but they changed that a while back.
Thanks so much!
Question I want to dp paint with no cells. How do I do that?
Thicker paint and use a pouring medium like liquitex or artist loft as they are not known to cell.

Super legal será que usando secador de cabelos daria um resultado legal também?
Cualquier técnica podría funcionar con esto. Sólo necesito pintura transparente encima.
Gorgeous!
I really love this silver one. Might end up on my wall.
❤very nice! ❤hey everybody please ask Jesus into your heart today while you still have time ❤
Thanks.
Well, but too much spinning, upon my taste, destroyed the picture. Sorry, it could be better?!
That is a the beauty of abstract art. Everyone can like it differently.
Sticking to what I know instead of listening to this guy. My paintings were so much better until I took tips from you. Sorry bud. And they're way better looking than his too not trying to brag but they are. They're fuckin amazing
Definitely do what works for you D.
Don't ever listen to this guy about stirring up your silicon a lot you get tiny cells only stir a couple times then leave it alone. I fucked up and listen to him and wasted a shit ton of paint and ended up with a shitty painting. Thanks dude
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the silicone.
