    Ah! Letting it sit for a bit, as Gina does, I totally forget! Thanks for the reminder David. I will go back and watch some more Gina. Pouring height is also something I will watch for. I think I don’t always pay attention to that. Thank you for the compliments. I don’t hate my paintings; they’re just not what I was hoping for. Your tips were useful.

      I might add, Willie B Studios is the creator of this version of the cloud mix. She does live painting sessions on FB and has a UA-cam channel and provides lots of tips for the technique. Really interesting effects for layering different transparencies next to the cloud mix. Also, the Vallejo Pearl Medium is finicky and performs better with certain brands of paint, like Amsterdam. I love the science of pour art! But I will say, it’s maddening to a new artist trying to figure it all out!! Good luck with your cloud pours. Im a bit obsessed with them myself. 😂

    Oh gosh after teaching fluid art for a couple of years I'm glad to see a video like this I mean there are things I would have given more advice on, like spritz your painting with 91% isopropyl alcohol or higher to help pop those air bubbles but their is a lot of great information here great collab!

    • @AnnaBlountArt
      @AnnaBlountArt  Місяць тому +1

      @@duckster8013 that would be the clearest if you used different paint mixtures or if you have multiple pictures of each painting. The form allows up to 5 photos. But you can also do one form and just describe each different painting. Up to you!

    Running the paint through a paper sieve cone will cause all the bubbles to accumulate in the sieve.

    Hi from Canada 🇨🇦 I’ve used glue and water with craft paint they are away to thin how can I thicken them ?

    • @AnnaBlountArt
      @AnnaBlountArt  Місяць тому

      Hi Maurice! I’ve had the same issue in the past. What ratio of glue and water do you use?
      You could either make a thicker pouring medium, such as 80% glue 20% water, or you could mix your paints 1:1 with straight glue and then just add a bit of water to thin it.

    • @LeftBrainedArtist
      @LeftBrainedArtist Місяць тому

      @@AnnaBlountArt 100% agree. Less water in the medium is the first place I'd start.

    AL Soft Body White eats cells if you use too much. Problem for me anyway.

    • @RebekahSue
      @RebekahSue Місяць тому

      The AL soft body white + Vallejo is the Willie B recipe. I've got a bottle just for that but I'm still working on my straight pours.
      As an AVID viewer of both David and Anna, I realized that I need to work more on my straight pour before I attempt another cloud pour.

      That eats everything because it floats to the top and takes over.
