Ah yes the piece I start next. Very practical thank you!
Joy, that was a really important piece of info for a soon to be new violinist! As a trombonist for 68 years, I believe nothing is more important than great tone! So as I’m about to begin this new adventure, I’ve decided to make great tone priority one. I’ve also decided to save time by 1st learning how to do each thing correctly. I want to avoid developing bad habits that will have to be corrected later. At 78 I don’t have any time to waste. I appreciate that you get straight to the point! Thanks, Joe
Dear T-Slider, bravo to you for your dedication for beautiful tone and welcome to the violin world! So true! Great tone is the soul of the music. Happy music making!
Thank you so much for this lesson. I have been struggling with the issue of tone in higher positions. Hopefully this will cure the problem!

Joy, thank you for picking this piece that we've been working on. As always, very detail oriented. It's a challenging piece especially for someone who picked up the violin later in life. Guys, Joy is not only an extremely talented teacher, but also very patient. To me, she's a keeper 😊
