I saw Bitd vs MJ in person. They each did it differently. MJ would get mobbed so all you saw was Celtics jerseys then he'd pop up like a jack in the box with his waist at almost shoulder height and sink a jumper. Bird would disappear in triple coverage & then a hand would pop out down low with the ball through a gap in between the defenders and flick it up & in. Same situations, same results but done very differently.
Kobe had huge respect for Bird. It was actually funny because he talked about how slow Bird looked but had no trouble scoring, passing and doing whatever he wanted. He finished by asking the audience how many had studied Bird. When less than half raised their hands he said that was not nearly enough and they needed to work.
Kobe was asked, within a few years prior to his passing, to give his All Time starting 5 by position. He was quick & decisive w/ 4 of the 5 positions, and for C he had 2 in his mind (Kareem & Wilt): PG: Magic SG: Jordan SF: Bird PF: Bill Russell C: Wilt (very close 2nd Kareem) By the way, addressing a white man as a "boy" is not only disrespectful but it is degrading, too. You wouldn't want to be addressed as black "boy" if you were, in fact, a black man, right? Moron.
@@citypopradioFM Yeah, I don't know about that. Magic was the leader of that team and Kobe wouldn't have changed that one bit. He would have found out why Bird is tough to guard because he would have wore Kobe out like he did everyone else. lol, he also wouldn't have the benefit of the knowledge of the Laker greats because he would have been learning along side them.
@rogerahier4750 I can't imagine how many assists Bird would get in today's game with everyone shooting 3s and no defensive 3 sec. We'd see more dunks from Bird and way more 3pt shots. He learned his 3pter in the NBA when it was first introduced and was already 40% most seasons with most of his 3s in crunch time. Most ppl don't realize but Bird's teams always had an advantage with him being a sniper at the sf while also being 6'10 and a great playmaker. He could play the 2 and 4 whenever he wanted to but his teams were always tall asf because he could shoot so well they didn't need more shooters on the court. McHale went to work and got his buckets but could you imagine if Bird had a Wilt or Shaq lmao. Wilt even said if he could play with anybody in history it would be Bird even after seeing Mike get all his rings. He was not only completely trust worthy to take every shot he wanted and was trusted to have the ball as long as he needed, but he always made sure to involve everyone on the court. Not just getting it to the open guy, but making sure every player gets their touches and are involved in some form. His IQ was levels above everyone else and he understood how to win and dominate at the highest level. He was giving GOATs the business and all anybody in that era has to say about him is good stuff. He truly is the greatest SF of all time and I would say Lebron is not a true SF more of a point forward. Bird could play like that too but he understood that the pg needs the ball and not every pg is Steph Curry. It helps the team to be able to be off ball and not turn everybody into catch and shoot players.
Without the PS2, there would be no PS5. As good as the PS5 is, it's still nowhere near the PS2 in sales! As good as Curry, LeBron, and Durant are, they would never have played or had a league to play in if not for the Birds, Magic's, Dr J's and Jordan. Who likewise would not have had a league without the Cousy's, Pistols and Wests.
What made Larry Bird so dangerous was that he was not just an elite shooter, but he was also an elite passer. It is nearly impossible to defend someone that hits 55% 2 pointers, 45% 3 pointers, & has 180 IQ of passing/court awareness. He was just a savage player back in the day. Larry Bird won 3 consecutive MVP awards (from 1984-1986) playing against Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dr J (Julius Irving), & young Michael Jordan.
Larry is my GOAT. You can compare anyone to Larry by being similar but remember Larry did it first. Thanks for the reaction and giving Larry his props even if he is not your GOAT.

I understand a youngster like you idolising Kobe and to be fair he was one of the few newer(I'm 50), ballers that was tough enough to play back in the 80's and 90's. Bird will always be top 5. Unless you grew up watching those games, you'll never know how different and insanely physical the NBA was back then.
Bird's retirement was not held on a game night. He filled the Garden to capacity just to be there when he retired. Bird and Magic will forever be connected. 100 years from now they will still be connected.
I saw a comment on a different video that made a lot of sense. Basically it said that players fell for a lot of Bird's fakes because they knew how great his passing was and that he was likely to pass.
Nothing better than seeing the Celtics and Lakers play in the 80’s at the Forum! I wish I could take you back there-you would have a blast. Thanks for watching this.
10:02 You can literally see Bird talking his shit before making a shot after fracturing his cheek, coming back in the game, and you know he was roasting them about how he's going to take the game with a broken face too. That was him and he was true to his word which is why he's a legend.
When Bird fell he fractured his right cheekbone! He was supposed to be done but Bird never quits! He waited til the doc was distracted ...went back in the game & won! He played through pain most guys would be hospitalized for! He refused to take pain medication.... played with a broken back....what other player would do that??!
I read that when Bird came back in against the Pacers with a broken cheek he said he was literally seeing two baskets and kept aiming for the right one.
Great reaction! It’s so much fun watching young people, especially those who know the game, like yourself, discovering Larry. This video, while great, is only a tiny fraction of this man’s highlights.
This is when they were in it for the love of the game. When’s the last time you seen a guy come back in with a fractured face. They sit out for weeks with sprained fingers. You can see it in the hustle and you can see how much Street was in Larry Bird‘s game. Almost seems like they’re in it more for the money now. Kind of like music. Doesn’t seem like people have the heart and dedication unless those green backs are involved, anymore.
I believe it. If Bird hated anything during his era, it was new dudes coming in the league all hype and promise because it only made him want to go 10x harder on them to make them earn and prove that hype to be worthy of any respect. Kobe came in from high school with hype, yes, but he worked for the respect from day one and never put his foot off the gas his whole career which is why he's a legend who's easily on the MJ level. I can only imagine a future where we could accurately simulate these dream match-ups like prime mid-80's Celtics versus early 00's Lakers, Bird vs. Kobe, because if they played in the same era, they probably would have the most mutual respect in NBA history.
Magic & Larry, resurrected the game of basketball...My dad loved basketball, but stopped watching, until the competition between Johnson & Bird was highlighted...What my Dad used to say, about Larry's game, is that it reminded him of someone, who wasn't only playing basketball, but also, volleyball, dodgeball, football, soccer, & strategic chess, all at the same time, & what made him so great 😊He certainly was one of the most unique & gifted players, I ever watched!
Unique? Absolutely! Gifted? His basketball IQ was unmatched. His rebound, passing, and particularly his shooting game, was the result of hard work. Larry was first to practice, doing drills over and over, seeking to improve his game. His work ethic was unmatched back then and to try to compare it with today's players would be laughable. The love of the game drove him to play through debilitating pain. He said that he dedicated his life to basketball and then he dedicated his life to the Boston Celtics. He played for his team, not a paycheck. He could have played on any team and probably for a lot more money but that wasn't part of Larry's character. And don't forget his trash talking that wasn't really trash talking Because he backed it up. Put together All of this and more And I believe he is a must pick for GOAT. Larry legend, the best Basketball player ever.
Larry Bird would break ankles with a look. One of these reactors said his crossover was cookies in today's game but the thing is that you're beat BEFORE the crossover happens.
MJ is the GOAT athletically, but IQ-wise Bird was able to do so many things offensively and defensively (without being fast, or able to soar like MJ), that he is the GOAT as an all-around basketball player/coach/executive. He never used the 3-point line until he hit the pros, and only averaged about 3 per game, but he used it so strategically to be the winning shot. Still, he averaged about 24 points per game, 10 boards per game, 6 assists per game, and 2 steals per game. He was the MVP 3 years IN A ROW; he WON THE FIRST THREE 3-point contests (I think Curry has lost it 5 of 7 times, but he is supposed to be the best?). BTW, Bird only did it for those 3 years so he retired the undefeated champion. He was the FIRST player to become a member of the 50-40-90 club, and he is only one of 3 who has done it multiple times, by doing it the first 2 years IN A ROW. He was Rookie of the Year; NBA All-Star 12 of his 13 years, All-Star game MVP in his third year; All-NBA First Team his first 9 SEASONS IN A ROW; All-Defensive Second Team 3 YEARS IN A ROW. The season after he won his third 3-point contest and his second 50-40-90 accomplishment, he was only able to play in six games due to Achilles tendon surgery on both heels, and he retired three years later with severe back problems. So severe, that he needed to lie on the floor when he wasn't in the game, and sometimes could barely put his uniform on. Funny how he has done so many things consecutively. Bird was the Coach of the Year with the Indiana Pacers, and Executive of the Year, as well. So, I'd say Larry Bird is THE GOAT OF BASKETBALL! Please, don't anyone take offense to anything. I'm just an old lady from Southern Indiana who is also an alum of Indiana State University Sycamores where Larry Bird starred, and was Player of the Year. I may be a little biased, but I have a very good argument to back it up.
Bird was the blueprint every coach and player tried to become after he came into the league. He did things nobody did and made it look easy against the roughest defensive era. MJ didn't become Air Jordan until he learned from Bird in games. Bird is 6ft 10in and drops dimes like a PG, rebounds like a center, finishes like a Forward, and shoots better than everyone else. He gave 100% effort at all times and refused to lose. Regardless of who your GOAT pick is he was influenced by Larry Legend like everyone else.
Young man, you did a great job with this video. I love your knowledge of the game and respect for your viewers. I've been watching and playing basketball for over 60 years and will definitely be watching you grow your channel. Subbed!
Courtship of Rivals! Its the best documentary... It gives you in depth story of Larry Bird & Magic Johnson. These two men saved the NBA....without them... there wouldn't have been a league anymore.
This man was born to play Basketball.. incredible watching his control of the game and the heart he played with.. hurt.. didn't matter.. he gave it his all... and didn't make nearly the money today's players do.. He loved the game... I feel in all sports today there is no loyalty or true heart.. it's all about the money. I understand wanting to make money.. we all do.. but when you're making hundreds of millions guaranteed I hope you love the sport you are playing because if not.. you will not give your heart and soul to it. Larry was a Class Act..
Damn good reaction. This mixtape doesn't really show the mental aspect of his game. At the beginning you hear Dr. J say that Larry is a basketball genius. And that's putting it lightly. I invite you to react to more of his videos. There's a lot out there. The more you watch the closer he'll get to Kobe in your eyes. No cap.
What's crazy is people that watch these Bird videos but weren't alive to watch him every night are one getting a very tiny snapshot into him and his play. Every night it was like this.. not wcwry play but during the games there would ALWAYS be something he did on that court that would drop your jaw. And this is being humble
Luka is a good comparison. If Luka played better D, shot 50/40/90 and averaged double digit rebounds.. And hustled like he was getting cut after that game.
@@trekkiexb5 no knock on Luka.. Luka is pretty damn all around player himself. he just not Larry Bird.. Maybe when his career is over?.. MAYBE.. got a long way to go tho in a few areas. Jokic is pretty all around. i know they are white but hey, its more their all around GAME that is similar..
@@soramirez5473 neither am I knocking Luka. Just not the rebounder like Larry and the 50-40-90. So, baby Bird. Isn't that what people call him? He is the closest. But Bird was too unique to ever get another one ever again.
There's this great 4th quarter duel between Wilkins (Hawks) and Bird that Bird won. Wilkins was called "the human highlight reel". Not a lot of people know this, but before the game, Bird was practicing left hooks because his Achilles tendon was hurting and he couldn't do his step-back for a jumper. So his game was altered and he pulled it out anyway.
And - in the paper the next day it was reported that he'd played with bronchial pneumonia. NickSmithNBA channel has a *great* video on that Duel with Dominique in the 1988 playoffs.
In 50 years of watching the NBA, Bird is the only player who is in the conversations for : Best shooter, Best small forward rebounder, Best passer,Best team player, Best clutch and stands alone in toughness. Disclaimer: I did stop watching in 2015.
My personal GOAT spot is shared between Bird and MJ because they share a certain philosophy in how they practiced and played that speaks to me on a deep level. You see, as I've gotten older, I've begun to realize that we, as a society have become so focused on the "turn your weakness into a strength" mindset that it has begun to feel like we forget why we possessed our strengths to begin with. Both Bird and Jordan always give me the impression that they KNOW what they're good at and that they dedicate themselves to honing those things to the highest level instead of wasting their time 'balancing' too much. When you have physical gifts like MJ, mental gifts like Larry, the 'passing' gift, the 'Clutch Gene' not to mention their dedication to form and add the mind games and their psychotic competitiveness, applied to two different, enough, styles of specialized play, I'm happy with my top spot.
It’s hard for me to say this because I am a diehard Laker fan for life and I grew up watching the 80s and the 90s when either the Lakers or the Celtics won every year. The Laker team that won five championships in a 10 year period in the 80s is definitely one of the greatest teams in NBA history. But that dude Larry Byrd was cold AF. He was a sniper. A killer. An assassin. He would not blink an eye cutting your heart out on the court. In basketball he was the equivalent of a navy seal. An absolute stone cold killer. If you got to pick five players to play a game to save your entire families life, Larry Byrd is one of your first pics.
I love it when Larry gets wide open and takes his time with the shot like he’s slowly cocking a gun. Money every single time. Btw: Sizzle Bake McGriddle is my new catch phrase 😂
Great reaction, Chriss, glad I happened upon your channel!! BTW there are a couple of great Larry "passing" comps on YT you should check out~ his passing game, court vision is second to none, imo. Also, from someone who followed the Celtics (I'm from Mass., an hour outside Boston) and saw him in person a couple of times, I can tell you that he played THE WHOLE GAME flat-out grinding like you see in these "highlight" reels. He had more hustle than any player I've ever seen. He was definitely a GOAT. Thanks for posting this~ God Bless!!
Black white Asian or Indian Larry Bird is the real GOAT. Best all around player and it’s not that close. No matter who defended him there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.
Larry Bird is to the NBA like what the Beastie Boys are to hip hop. You first hear about them: "That's a brotha." You see them for the first time: "Ummm, that's a White guy." You see them _perform:_ *"That IS a brotha!!"*
Great reaction!! Not many reactors watch close enough to see that when Larry fell, he fell on his face - your face said it all! Then the man comes back into the game with a fractured face.. WHO DOES THAT?? Nobody does that. Larry is in my top all time 3.
For the most beautiful basketball you’ve ever seen check out the 1992 Dream Team documentary. It is epic. 11 future Hall of Famers. Everyone was glued to their TVs whenever they played. Larry & Magic were co-captains. At 73, I still get chills when I watch it. It was a surreal time.
While attending college Larry's team was playing mine and we heard they had a future all American on their team so during warm ups we tried to guess which black player he was. Well we were wrong and he beat our league champion team and set our arena scoring record! He's the Best! Peace from Northern Michigan.
Larry Bird is the reason I became a Celtics fan and I live in Missouri and yes, I attended home and playoff game back in the day. I watched Bird from his first game in the league until he retired. Larry Bird is the BEST all round player the league has ever known, period. He did things routinely that other players could only dream of doing or have nightmares about being done to them. His rivalry with Magic was legendary but, they also became lifelong friends. They were both very honorable, soft-spoken gentlemen. Something sorely lacking in the league today. When Magic retired, I stopped following the NBA because there was no players worth watching after that. Larry just doesn't get the credit he is due. There are goats, Chamberlin, Magic, MJ, Kobe but, there is only ONE legend, and his name is Larry Bird. I watched him play and watched him out smart and outperform the best the league had to offer at the time, which was substantial.
I loved watching Larry Bird and the Celtics on TV as a young kid, they were my favorite team. Jordan, Magic, Kareem...what a time to be a basketball fan.
I've posted this once before on YT but heres how I view the GOAT debate. As a 46 year old guy who grew up 20 min north of Boston, I'm obviously a little biased in my views. Theres been so many incredible players over the decades so I'm not sure how the GOAT can be crowned simply by general stats. Stats would lead you to MJ, KD, Kobe, LeBron, Larry, Kareem, Wilt, ect, ect. In the end I have 3 guys who belong in the top 3 without any particular order. Theres only been 3 players over the 3-4 decades that I've watched who I looked at and no matter what got the feeling that "theres no way he's going to let his team lose". Every time I watched these 3 players, no matter who they were playing I had the feeling that the game is already over. Those 3 are MJ, Larry and Kobe. Those 3 guys were dogs! They were at the highest talent level and they had that killer in them. You could see it in their eyes and in their game. No other players have given off that vibe. I dont care how good LeBron is or KD or anyone else. They dont have that dog in them like Kobe, MJ and Bird. When the Paul Pierce, KG, Ray Allen Celts played LeBron in the playoffs, I wasn't concerned. LeBron isn't that guy who will refule to lose. He was gonna get his points and stats, but he's not that guy that you fear. So as much as I dont like putting a Laker in the top 3 ever, in my mind theres no question about it. Larry, Kobe and MJ are the 3 GOATS. I've watched LeBron fail miserably over and over. I've watched him quit on his team and stop trying. He flails around like a child if someone touches him. He's a terrible team mate. When his team wins its "I, I, I, I did this, I did that, I made my team mates better, I, I, I". But he NEVER take the blame when his team fails. He'll never be one of the top 3 GOATS in my opinion. He just doesn't have that beast inside himself.
Hey you were admiring his left hand floater and I think you might have missed what they said. The true story on this is that at the pregame press conference Larry Bird said that he didn't need his right hand to beat Portland. So he said he was going to save his right hand for the Lakers and only play with his left hand and at the end of 3/4 he had 27 points left-handed. 🤣😂🔥
College player of the year 1979, Rookie of the Year and runner up MVP, 1981,82,83,88 then MVP, 84,85,86. These are numbers that will never be repeated. Jordan and Kobe, might have more rings, but Bird inspired fear, and had his body not betrayed him, I’m sure he would have been even greater. Side note, he hated when teams would put a white guy to guard him.
He also played in the more competitive East Conference. The Lakers coasted to a lot of their Championships. Had the Lakers played in the eastern conference I’m pretty sure their championships would be cut in half.

Dude, the 70’s were full of warriors. It was just part of our DNA back then. I was in 5th or 6th grade on the basketball team, we were terrible but we had heart. Between games we were playing for fun and I took an elbow to the eye. It was instantly black and swelled shut. My coach wanted to shoot me I’m sure. We’d have to forfeit if I couldn’t play because we only had 5 players to start with…. small school. I would have played even if we had 10 people. In my family, unless you were bleeding out or had a fever, there was nothing wrong with you and you were expected to carry on. Explains how I went from bad cold to pneumonia so many times in my life. Though I’m proud I’m tough and can push through most anything, I regret no taking my health more seriously. It was so competitive then that one of the boys in our 4th grade class decided to go head first in a game of jump the creek. You can imagine 30 4th graders screaming when he landed and the bone in his arm snapped and broke through the skin. broke through the When I run into people I went to school with, we still talk about that from time to time. Go Edison Panthers! 😎

Who's the Goat 🐐 of Basketball 🏀??? Here are 8 great videos that make suggestions to who is the greatest. Of course everyone is going to have their opinion/favorite. So that you don't have to track them down.
All 8 of these videos are *GREAT* and about 3 years old. *Lebron* has the most views and *Larry Bird* is 2nd out of the list👇.
I personally enjoyed Larry's the most. Not only is he in the conversation of who's the goat 🐐. He won Gold 🥇 *(with his NBA Rivals like Magic and MJ)* at the Olympics, became a Head Coach of the Pacers, then went upstairs to the Head Office.... running everything!! Larry's *GENUINE* friendship with Magic Johnson was awesome to see, on and off the court. Oh yeah, Larry also had *Rookie of the Year* as well 😎

The Bird is the greatest all-around basketball player of all time.
Facts
I understand a youngster like you idolising Kobe and to be fair he was one of the few newer(I'm 50), ballers that was tough enough to play back in the 80's and 90's. Bird will always be top 5. Unless you grew up watching those games, you'll never know how different and insanely physical the NBA was back then.
More than the statistical line when you talk about Larry Bird
I'm 50 and I don't expect youngster to be in my vocabulary for another 20 years 🤪
im already knowin, ik a lot of basketball og. more videos otw
😂😂😂
Back when basketball was exciting!
Bird's retirement was not held on a game night. He filled the Garden to capacity just to be there when he retired. Bird and Magic will forever be connected. 100 years from now they will still be connected.
2:40 That's Dominque Wilkins falling. HoFer and 75th anniversary member. Larry Bird still trash talks him! (The are good friends today)
That man he dropped you were talking about was Dominic Wilkinson. Human highlight reel
Dirk + Luca + Jokic = almost Larry Bird
Larry Bird was also the founder of the 50/40/90 club.🔥💪🏆
LARRY BIRD IS THE GOAT 🐐🐐
Great reaction! It’s so much fun watching young people, especially those who know the game, like yourself, discovering Larry. This video, while great, is only a tiny fraction of this man’s highlights.
more videos gonna br otw, i appreciate it
This is when they were in it for the love of the game.
Today is the anniversary of his retirement ceremony! 31 years!
Oh SNAP! Imma walk by the Garden site today for sure
oh fr lmao
Larry’s basketball iq is Einstein level
There was an interview somewhere with Larry saying he wished he had played with Kobe. He liked Kobe's tenacity.
Luka reminds me of that old school ball. You right
GOAT small forward.
I agree with everything you said, I suppose I just have a different way of expressing my love for Bird@@MrObvious333
Thank you for this one. Larry Legend videos never get old! Lol
I luv watching young folks checking out Larry Bird, the eyes bugging out is so fun to watch.
Larry Bird would break ankles with a look. One of these reactors said his crossover was cookies in today's game but the thing is that you're beat BEFORE the crossover happens.
Fractured his cheekbone, had a concussion... and STILL came back into the game when the team needed him!
I grew up watching the NBA in the 80s and Bird's game was more than complete....in every sense. Bird = Icon
I may be a little biased, but I have a very good argument to back it up.
thats a great take fr & hes fs goated & fs one of the goats
Add to that he did something none of the other "Goats" did...He was manager of the year and Executive of the year with the Pacers after retirement.
GG. Great take and agree totally. Not many like Legend.
In one interview Bird said Kobe was his favorite who was playing at that time.
Watch enough Bird videos and a guy as observant and knowledgeable as you will end up loving him as much as we do.
Great reaction and I love your sense of humor. Larry is my goat
Appreciate it gang🤟🏾
If Bird is not in you're top 5 you just don't know. He was just before you're time. I was a teen watching him. A phenomenon
Regardless of who your GOAT pick is he was influenced by Larry Legend like everyone else.
imChriss, good reaction guy, live he was so awesome, every game he made these crazy plays, clutch tough never say die...LARRY LEGEND FOREVER

Making the Case: Larry Bird
GOAT debate
Young man, you did a great job with this video. I love your knowledge of the game and respect for your viewers. I've been watching and playing basketball for over 60 years and will definitely be watching you grow your channel. Subbed!
Courtship of Rivals! Its the best documentary... It gives you in depth story of Larry Bird & Magic Johnson. These two men saved the NBA....without them... there wouldn't have been a league anymore.
Good observation about his size. Bird was a legit 6'10. Players have commented that they're surprised how big he is when they meet him in person.
Amen
"That man has kids" lol...that man was Dominique Wilkins, one of the most athletic basketball players ever. Bird could make everyone look dumb.
No cap.
Basketball IQ may never be seen again
more videos gonna be otw
What's crazy is people that watch these Bird videos but weren't alive to watch him every night are one getting a very tiny snapshot into him and his play. Every night it was like this.. not wcwry play but during the games there would ALWAYS be something he did on that court that would drop your jaw. And this is being humble
Everyone knows, Larry Bird reactions get views.
I've watched like 200 of them.
I just love that young folks are seeing Bird, for the player he was. 😊
Luka is a good comparison. If Luka played better D, shot 50/40/90 and averaged double digit rebounds.. And hustled like he was getting cut after that game.
A "Baby Bird". But a very good player.
But Bird was too unique to ever get another one ever again.
you right fr
There's this great 4th quarter duel between Wilkins (Hawks) and Bird that Bird won. Wilkins was called "the human highlight reel". Not a lot of people know this, but before the game, Bird was practicing left hooks because his Achilles tendon was hurting and he couldn't do his step-back for a jumper. So his game was altered and he pulled it out anyway.
And - in the paper the next day it was reported that he'd played with bronchial pneumonia.
NickSmithNBA channel has a *great* video on that Duel with Dominique in the 1988 playoffs.
The one true Goat, Larry Joe!
I have seen many reactors watch this tape but you are my favorite ❤ Larry BIRD always my GOAT ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I appreciate it more otw🖤
Loved your reaction. It's one of the best I've seen.
My top five, by position:
MJ
Bird
Magic
Duncan
Kareem
Watched 🏀 since the late 1950s. 🐐 1a and 1b - Michael and Larry.
Appreciate it gang🤟🏾
The guy who Bird dropped wearing white and red was Domnique Wilkins.
Bird is the greatest small forward ever.
Black white Asian or Indian Larry Bird is the real GOAT. Best all around player and it’s not that close. No matter who defended him there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.
fr that man was crazy
He not only made that second shot off one leg… he walked down to the other bench and said I’m getting the ball same spot!
Larry Bird is to the NBA like what the Beastie Boys are to hip hop.
You first hear about them: "That's a brotha."
You see them for the first time: "Ummm, that's a White guy."
You see them _perform:_ *"That IS a brotha!!"*
Did he train with the Harlem Globe Trotters? So many "trick" shots, it's fascinating ...
An ambulance would have to come on to the court to scrape AD off the court if he hit the floor like that. Larry just walks off.
Great reaction!! Not many reactors watch close enough to see that when Larry fell, he fell on his face - your face said it all! Then the man comes back into the game with a fractured face.. WHO DOES THAT?? Nobody does that. Larry is in my top all time 3.
thank you & larry was really a hooper fr a lot of these players now wouldn't play cause they pinky hurt
He also played through lots of back pain...
Larry was one of the first to reach out to Magic after his Aids diagnosis to offer help
I love Larry Bird reactions, but this was by far one of my favorites.
I’m glad 🤝🏾🖤
His teammates had to be ready for a bullet pass from nowhere at all times😮
While attending college Larry's team was playing mine and we heard they had a future all American on their team so during warm ups we tried to guess which black player he was. Well we were wrong and he beat our league champion team and set our arena scoring record! He's the Best! Peace from Northern Michigan.
That man with kids that fell on his ass with that stepback J was Dominique Wilkins my dude lol he's Larry Legend for a reason
One of a kind.
☘️ Larry Legend
for all the reasons.
That’s Dominique Wilkins a Hall of Famer, that he broke his ankles
2:20. He broke Dominique Wilkins' ankles there--hahaha. Dominique is a legend and he made him look like a fool--hahaha.
Alot of the players of today copy aspects of Larry's game, but no one does all of his game.
Here for the algorithm
I am from Detroit, Larry broke my heart back in the day. I'll have to say he is in TOP 3 of all time to play the game of basketball.
He went to the right hand in the 4th and scored 20 in the 4th to end up with 47 pts 15 rebounds and 11 assists in that game lol
I would love to see you react to " Larry Bird the greatest passer of all time re-edit".
Dagger 3 started with bird. First vicious step back.
Top 5 all time no question.
Top NBA career combined stats per game (pts, reb, ast, stl, blk) career fg%,tp%,ft%
1. Jordan 44.7 -50-33-84
2. Lebron 44.4 -51-35-73
3. Bird 43.1 -50-38-89
4. Kareem 42.9 -56-06-72
5. Durant 40.8 -50-38-88
Bird has the second highest game winning percentage right behind Magic (10 games off).
The celtics and Lakers in the 80,s best basketball teams I have ever seen!! 😊
Watch Bird and Magic courtship of Rivals
2:32. That's 'Nique going down.
Larry Bird is the greatest clutch shooter I ever saw! Their was no shot he could make, the bigger the situation the better he played. He could do it all. Still the most complete player to ever play! Like red said, he would pick larry first everyday and twice on sunday! My GOAT, and it's not even close.
That was a great reaction bro. Nice job!
I Appreciate it fr🤝🏾
There’s a documentary about Larry and Magic called A Courtship of Rivals. I can tell you love basketball you will love that!

Everybody argues about who is the GOAT but there is only ONE Legend and his name is Larry.
MJ *never* beat Larry in the Playoffs. *0 in 6* vs Bird. Michael has Larry ahead of Lebron in his Top 5.
