Something not mentioned by the EN Patch Notes but was by JP and CN's patch notes: Yuudachi Retrofit now has a Receive animation. So when you get her retrofit, you get an animation, just like when you get New Jersey, Shimakaze or Hakuryuu. Those who already have her can view this animation by going to the page with her Retrofit's lines in the Archives and selecting Receive.

Collab ships are getting more and more useful now Akane may not be as boring as she looks, that constant 20s aircraft launch makes her closer to aviation battleship rather than just normal battleship. Kinda interesting to see how Yume play against W14 mobs, endless mobs meets endless barrage. and 23:43 "You can do some weird things with Rikka" I misunderstood that intentionally haha
Btw those are Siren planes they don't just look like them. :P Both Akane and Mujina are the closest we have to owning Sirens so far other than the PR's which have Siren/Kaiju rigging.
@@AzurLaneMeta Well some of the girls in this collab are from SSSS and some are from the other Gridman anime which I haven't watched myself. But Akane is able to craft Kaiju from clay which is why she has Siren planes because it's like she created them and Munjina apparently can control Kaiju through her dominate ability so that's why she has them.

Started this game at about the same time as the event but ignored the banner until yesterday because I didn't really like the designs, then tried one for fun and got Yume on first pull, which gives me both of the "must haves" I guess. Idk how UR events work but it sounds like I won't be getting that... Or akane, but was planning on building Monarch anyways and it sounds like Rikka isn't super important. Thanks for the detailed rundown, now I know I have at least 2 units I can focus on building.
As exciting as it may be for us currently playing to have such powerful ships release, I really appreciate you raising concern about the strength of collab ships as newer players will not have access to them in the future.

Great vid on the data-mined event ALM, this will prove informative going into the event. Now I'm going to be real with you since I'm experiencing the event as I watch this video, this event feels like a collab that wasn't some half-baked attempt at a grubby cash-grab by the collaborator's IP owners towards the gacha-game community. The Idolmaster collab was frankly garbage, it was a really poor showing for a collab event. This one however looks like some real thought and effort went into producing this event collab. No effort spared, the AL Devs really looked like they were pulling out all the stops on this one. From first impressions the collab looks *AMAZING* , and is one of the few collabs that I am genuinely excited for.
What should also be mentioned is that, due to the oil cap, buying 1000 Oil for 450 Points actually generates a net positive now (if you use the Oil on the event stage, obviously)
Played the collab, loved all the little details from the official ED music, to the chibis, the animations, the mini-game, etc. Imo this could be the best collab we ever had on AL. That aside, finding out that all the ships are very good was very pleasant and makes me happy. I see these ships getting permanent spots in fleets. These characters are quite popular in Japan so this will definitely be a big boost for the collab. Great ships = happy players. Even better that they're fan favorite characters from a collab of recent anime.
Sure but don't be too short sighted Cory Someone joining the game on dec 9th. will have to accept they will never get these ships so if they are too good that could be a deterrent to growth. OFC they could get power crept in the future so there is that.

Thanks for this video! Quick experience so far: I maxed out the "Goldburn" gear (+38 RLD) and equipped it to Shimakaze, who is currently using a +10 Twin 100 Type 98 main gun (fire rate 0.74s) With the additional RLD points she basically never stops firing from the moment the battle starts. I'm not sure how to best measure this, but it feels like her torps are reloading noticeably faster too.
I'm actually happy with how the collabs events seems to go. Before, collab ships where deemed trash tier or a little above that but nothing great. But for a while now, it seems they are rather goods. Not meta defining like a New Jersey or a Perseus would be, so that new players don't feel too bad for missing them, but good enough to be used in high level content for fans or as catch up ships for newcomers.
Personally .. i don't think so .. both are good individually .. being preloaded alone is so OP in a lot of cases .. like world 14 and high level mop fleets and OpSi .. but with VV buffing her , Aquila is absolutely a far better preloaded CV in PVP st least .
@@AzurLaneMeta It will be interesting to see what comps emerge. I imagine its going to be about Aquila supremacy vs whatever the reason is to replace VV. If Aquila supremacy matters more, maybe VV will be forced into the meta to counter Chise comps. If VV replacement provides more value than VV provides herself, Aquila, and Duca then she stays out and the meta is more open to Chise? Interested on your thoughts. I'm guessing here and definitely not intimately aware of all the PvP mechanics.

It depends on your situation. I dropped another 100 cubes to get her after I already got all the other SRs. However, I would not drop below 300 cubes with a UR event right around the corner.

I'm not sure i would call any of these ships meta defining (yet), but i think this colab is a step in the right direction. Most of these ships seem pretty good. I could use them and while i doubt they are as good as some Tier 0 ship (or maybe even a T1), i won't be kicking myself in the face. Overall this event has been a breath of fresh air after the horrible idolmaster event. I understand the concern about people missing colabs and regretting it forever, but that is a fact of life in gacha games. Also, even if you don't want to make colab units T0, it doesn't mean you have to make them all collection tier (most previous colab units). This even for sure moves in the right direction. Not to mention if we're talking about the pain of missing a mega ship, there are UR ships. Allegedly they eventually run i believe but that will take a while.
Not after Le Terrible. With her skill maxed and a Boiler+Beaver she would be just 2 SPD faster then a totally min/maxed SPD Rikka. But pretty dang close.
I completed the event campaign in 2 hours and completed that 120 challenge I was close to dying on that 120 ex map that my heart was pounding fast from how close I was to being defeated

Aquila can get boosted by VV. Aquila's 2nd airstrike should come faster than Chise. Chise does get a pre-loaded shield and guaranteed barrage (rather than 70%)

@@trendmadegamer8725 Definitely not. Chise is an integral part of the main cast, she even gets her own robot Kaijuu that she rides and that can combine with the others. She is also an important part of the Koyomi-Chise duo and their progression in the story.

I love both animes these girls come from, but my fav of these character is Yume so I'm super glad she is extremely good. (Give her the dynamic canon for one more barrage lol (It's her boyfriend's mech anyways) EDIT: I got all gacha ships from 38 rolls total, I'm so happy.
You can hear ALM's voice getting a little depressed thinking that some of the Gold SR(SSR) collab ships being good enough to compete with some tier 1 ships (especially the one that competes with Aquila).
Aquila's potential to be boosted and her viability in PVP will trump chise's skills. While its true she does rival her as a stand alone most people using her also have VV. Lets not forget that aquila can only be in one fleet but we bring 2 (or more for op si) fleets to a sorte, why not bring two fleets with a strong preload in each?

My Yume is currently lvl 115 and have 1/6/1 skills. She deals more damage than my lvl 125 Prinz.

You can hear ALM's voice getting a little depressed thinking that some of the Gold SR(SSR) collab ships being good enough to compete with some tier 1 ships (especially the one that competes with Aquila).
Aquila's potential to be boosted and her viability in PVP will trump chise's skills. While its true she does rival her as a stand alone most people using her also have VV. Lets not forget that aquila can only be in one fleet but we bring 2 (or more for op si) fleets to a sorte, why not bring two fleets with a strong preload in each?

@@AzurLaneMeta im happy to play AL but im tired of gacha games having no ending. I ofter nust play ps4 games with gacha games on auto tbh. dont get me wrong i liked AL, granblur and punishing gray raven. But i have to stop now.
We got robbed out of those swimsuits. All interest lost.
I enjoyed a lot of the skins the new collab girls got though. That was a fun art alternative for the load screen in the thumbnail though.
