Also I didn't mention EXP boosting ships. The following ships have skills that boost your experience gain. Use them (and level the skills if you have spare books) when relevant. Yuubari - 15% CL/CA/CB Langley - 15% CV/CVL Houshou - 15% CV/CVL Amazon - 18% DD Nurnberg - 10% SS/SSV EDIT: Also you can gain a lot of experience from playing PvP. Even if you lose, you gain 50% of the total exp. I didn't mention it mostly because I don't personally use it because I'm trying to rank high in my PvP seasons (and go undefeated). However, NEW player should 100% use PvP to level. It is free exp without the cost of oil or morale. 2nd EDIT: I needed to make some corrections or misstatements about the classroom. 1. The classroom has only 1 day for the following ships classes: CV/CVL/BB/BC/BM. DD/CL/CA/CB/BBV/SS/SSV have 2 days and AR have 4 days. 2. The classroom vs dorm is a complicated set of rules for when one is better than the other that I didn't explain well in the video. It takes into consideration commander level, dorm comfort, lecture hall level, food levels, stored up experience, and the number of ships you are simultaneously leveling. Classroom isn't ALWAYS better than Dorm. Just in some cases and note only until the ship reaches level 100. For example a LV120 commander with 400 dorm comfort and 2 "Full Course" for food will outperform any classroom when trying to level a single ship by itself. The classroom is generally recommended for mid-tier players (Level 50-100) that are trying to bulk grind ships.
@@LilithTheSuccubus Other than paying commissions and guilds are the best options. The are pretty light after the main story. Gotta wait for Yostar's/Manjuu's benevolence with apologems and events like Lunar New Year manjuu resort.

This is the most compatible guide for my play style I've seen so far since I too prefer more time efficient one while not caring much for oil thanks ALM.
@@thesage1096 I believe you can get around 30,000 dorm food without spending oil per day,so if you keep only 2 ships in there, it should be entirely free
@@naverilllang I only did level the wolfpack subs with the dorm and 10h comissions to lvl 120 any other type I put in the dorm until they are lvl 90-100 and afterwards lvl them in sorties.
When your ships are 100+, put them with Perseus in your OpSi mob fleet. Even if individual fights don't bring much, you can farm for as long as you want and it's FREE.
@@AzurLaneMeta Can't you grind forever on the maps with those beacons that call in pawns? I do that on corrosion 5 or higher treasure maps. They call in pawns nonstop. I don't know if you get exp, but you definitely get progress towards Hiryuu META skills, should you use her.
Thank you! I've been playing since 1st Anni and I'm tired of "oil efficient" guides. Tbh I prioritized oil at the start but later the grind got tiring, so this guide helped me a lot especially the lecture hall(did not realize max level was better than dorm so I neglected). Saving time is def more effective for me than saving oil.
I like that you pointed out the 10-hour commission. Everyone seems to badmouth it, but for 1200 oil you get a lot of resources & the XP for no 'play-time' investment. I think the 5K coins are nearly as valuable as the XP itself. Generally I also keep the same ships in this commission as are in my dorm for max passive XP gain.
I strongly agree with you with 1200 oil commission not only it gives you 18000 xp but also 4500 coin and since you could do this twice per day you could get 9k coin per day a good way to save up coin for upcoming event plus sometime it gives cubes or purple parts a lot of guides in youtube disagree with this since they say its much more efficient when you grind using the oil instead but like you said you could gain xp while doing other things
Ya you do get some goodies from the 10hr commission. Not that grinding with that oil would yield you droppable special commission that give resources such as gems. But in the end, passive exp>active grind exp.
Great video! I particularly like your distinction between time and oil efficiency. Many people tend to forget about this and wonder why they aren’t levelling as fast/ losing so much oil and question their methods. Good job!
Yes, thank you for the guides For someone who doesn't have a lot of time to constant grind, Time efficiency is important. I realized that my oil never under max cap.
True. Also not a loss give you 50% exp so still worth it. I try to got for top rank most seasons so I usually don't level my ships using PvP at this point. But new players should definitely use it.
This video is really good for me, I have a lot of strong ships but I was leveling them very slowly, but ever since Operation Siren dropped I have had the need to upgrade them ASAP because of how hard those Siren Strongholds are (damn that stupid siren that heals off of a % of her max HP), thanks for sharing!
You've earned my subscribe. I've been playing for about 1.5 years, yet this is still a topic I struggle with, since I have limited 120 ships. I'll try out this method with some of my lower level ships to see how it goes. Cheers!
I levelled Monarch solely through Dorms and the 10-hour commissions. It took me 86 days but I'd mismanaged or entirely missed several days worth of time so it'd be shorter like 75-80 days For passive exp, I think that's pretty okay considering that I can also get three other ships to 120(I have only 4 slots in dorms) + other ships to about 100+ in less than 3 months ding just a few clicks.
A minor collection to be polite: not all ship classes will have two days in school: CV(L)s and BB/C/Vs only have one day each (Wed and Thurs). Also, once you level up your dorm and the happiness gets high enough and you're using EXP boosting food, the school gets less efficient, especially when leveling more than 1 ship at a time. Overall though, yes, this is how I level as well, though less so with the 10 hour commissions.
this is pretty much how i level my ships too( minus the put in training/lecture 2 times a week from dorm...cuz lazy and i'm sure to forget about it) you mentioned at the end, there are a few tricks that can speed it up. it would be interesting if you either, made a video about them, or make it a little segment in a future video, like general tips and tricks. donno for sure, your channel :P
Most of these include using exp boosters, doing pvp sub-optimally for ranking (and towards leveling), creating really efficient fleets that can grant MVP bonuses to the designated ships.
And then there's me. Don't play the game that actively, so I have basically infinite oil. Always do my 10h comms, always run full fleets on the highest node I can clear, don't really start using ships until they're lvl100-110. I basically stop using a ship once they hit their final lvl cap, whether that's 120 or 125 depends on the ship, to prevent wasting exp. I still have 200k+ oil in my in-game mailbox, waiting for the day that I run out of oil and I have to resort to claiming mail
I think it is worth mentioning that if you're levelling a vanguard you can pair them with a LB0 monitor on map 8-4 and still clear all the mob nodes. It's significantly more oil efficient (as the monitors cost 2 oil at lb0) and it is more time efficient since the vanguard will consistently be getting 50% more exp, despite not doing the boss node.
@@AzurLaneMeta Because the amount of pressure world 8 puts on your main fleet is significantly lower than other worlds. If you go to world 7 or 9, the 0lb monitor would die to sheer damage.
Probably a good tip to give, is that, after you got 4x120lvl ships team (for OP Siren) unless you want rush a ship for meta or waifu reasons, is better to level a new group ships until they reah 105-115 at max, sou you can use them on events still for those hard maps and they will still get exp, and even do "eficient" small fleets at the same time, also have a balance about the type since some maps will ask you to bring certain ships (like 3 DD's, 2 CV's, etc) and the ones you have are already 120 (thats wasted exp), not that good to meet the stat requeriments (like this italian event with ridiculous evasion stat) or underleveled.
A note that could be useful: With your 3:3 fleet setup for grinding, try to make sure your flagship gets the mvp, it gets more xp total for your fleet. (tldr at bottom) Also not a bad idea to use akashi for 12-4 but of course youre giving up a slot for grinding to a healer. If the 6th battle at 0 ammo is still doable without akashi or you are also grinding ships in your boss fleet (which can do the 6th battle in place of your now 0 ammo mob fleet) then without akashi is fine. Slower but more xp for your important ships. However if you want to do the 6th battle with your boss fleet you will need to turn off auto-search as that makes your mob fleet fight all escorts. This is not worth imo because you need to actually pay attention to the game. tldr its a good idea to put akashi in for 12-4 so your mob has enough ammo, but if your mob fleet can handle the 6th battle at 0 ammo, do it w/o akashi and grind an actually important ship.
great video! one thing I would add for more casual players who don't care about pvp rank much, you get some exp from exercises too without costing oil so you can use it as additional exp for those ships in lvl110-119 range. ALM would never do that tho xD And I never knew there was affinity cap for secretary... i wasted so much time there while working on memories...
i just started last year, my suffolk and javelin were in my dorm when i forgot about the game for almost 5 months, i returned to see them at level 70+ lol, thats how i level up ships now i just leave em in my dorm and when theyre level 30+ i go into the 2-(1-4) and 3-(1-4) campaign
Real Chads Grind 120's in 1-1 Fighting Hornet :uni_flex: Edit: surprised you didn't bring up the EXP/prototype skills. CV/L can get up to an extra 30% and destroyer/ cruisers can get an extra 15% per level (on top of any other bonuses ) and up to an extra 10% for subs
I do alot of these strategies while simultaneously doing PR Ships it kills like 3 birds on one stone! And I tend to crank out those PR ships! Thanks for the more indept guide mate!
I personally prefer 11-3 and 11-4 for the 100+ grind. There are three reasons for that : 1. Chapter 11 is easier so you can use a smaller team. 2. There is not much XP difference with chapter 12 anyway. 3. You can get Bofors from 11-3 and Roomba from 11-4 while chapter 12 doesn’t have anything interesting outside the 110mm but you mostly have a load of these already while you can never have too many Bofors/Roombas.
@@AzurLaneMeta Ah right. Fair point indeed ! I have even had this issue when I grinded with Ryuuhou in a 1:2 fleet after the last rerun. So I guess the caveat here is that if you’re using only one backline, chapter 11 is more suited to BB while 12 would be better for CV unless you can somehow deal with the suicide boats.
My journey to chapters 11, 12, & 13 have been held up first by yuudacji poi grind. Now the Inazuma grind. After her it will be Maya. You can see where this is going. The only ships I have above 110 but below 120 are Enterprise, Graf Zeppelin, Prinze Eugene, Takao, and Laffy. Bismarck, her sister Tirpitz, and Sandy crossed the 105 mark today. All others are either between lvl 84 to 100. The grind for akagi and kaga was way shorter than yuudachi. Now inazuma has decided to do the same. I don't understand why though, I got her sister ikazuchi in the first run🤔.
I know this video is now 3 years old, but it's relevant. I've been playing for 5/6 of the years this game has been out and I still only have 1 ship at lv125. And I only have 3 or 4 ships that are above 115. I know I play super casually, but I do have a little over half of the PR ships and I grind hard when getting them so I just don't know why I"m so lacking still.
I can't thank you enough for your help with ship grinding. I really have been stumbling around in the dark here and I really appreciate the guide. Awesome work.
I always do the 10-hour commissions, twice per day. Sure, if I could play all day like some people, I might avoid it. But I have to work, so extra passive xp helps a lot. So if you can play all day, sure, avoid it. But if you cannot play all day (like most people), just do them. Good xp.
It raises the affinity of the ship. That raises the stats. That means you can fight higher levels without dying (higher level = more exp | dying = less morale = less exp). So directly no, but in effect yes. The real big reason you do it because in affinity farming you can't got 90->100 with a secretary so might as well go 50->90 with the passive gain and safe the time for active gain when you can no longer passive.
Hmm well mostly what I have been doing. The Auto Search function helps so much so I don't have to babysit the game half as much. Guess I could add a few things here since I have been playing for a long time. Launch day for global so been around. First Glad you mentioned to make it time focused and not oil focused. Even with a very high play time per day, I still am near the oil cap almost no matter what. 2nd floor I believe gives a faster morale rate since you are not gaining exp for being there. Since high morale gives a 20% exp boost. I usually take a break when the ships lose that buff. If you are really impatient I suggest 11-2 as an alternative to 12-4 (or 12-2 even if Choukai and Maya are giving you issues) since the map is easier so you can start the grind faster. Keep in mind the Suicide ships over the need for AA. Major thing to keep in mind grind for more then one reason. Have a second goal PR grind, event farming, etc. Since I have the goal to get every ship in the game that is one I have to keep my mind off the grind.
yeah, 4 mobs before BOSS, but you forgot to tell that by the time the boss appears, it is surrounded by a ton of mobs thay you HAVE to fight. If you Auto-Search, youre going to have to fight more mobs than usual.
Don't forget that if you use 3-4 for the level grinding, you can get akagi and kaga, maybe Also if I may say, I love your videos, and your love for amagi But I say tosa is better, sadly I have to wait till us Americans can start pulling them from the pools
For me, I'm just doing the Dorm(50k) and 10hrs commission with same ships assigned. 2 years now and I have lots unused max lvls. Curently occupied on OPSiren, Retrofits and leveling the new ships.
I find the hard mode exp gains really small since it literally is just 3 battles a day and the exp per one battle isn't mind blowing.. I mean, 1500 with high moral and no MVP or flagship bonus in 11-2. EXP per oil is pretty nice, I give it that, but I just use the good old "set-and-forget" for hardmode clears so I can go and do other things.. Honestly, there are so many things nowadays in azur lane that it's starting to feel like chores. I mean, there's hard mode maps, operation siren and hiryuu meta boss fights, daily missions and war archives (mainly farming steampults in D3 fallen wings). After doing all of those things I get to go grind 13-4 to try and get the elusive Bunker hill, unless I get stuck for hours in operation siren trying to farm currency to empty the shops.
Ya I can feel the chore load go up when OS came out and you gotta daily Hiryuu. Hopefully the survey Yostar put out will make the result of having to do less META ship stuff per day. AES and friends helped a lot though. Daily login warriors can usually get done in about 30-60 mins a day.
Wait. Who is this? Where is the intro that introduces Azur Lane Meta? Jokes aside, I do prefer time saved over oil saved. Because I like to get every single ship I get to level 70 minimum, there are only a few types of ships I would either get to level 100 or level 120. If it is a meta or waifu ship, then i will get them to level 120 as fast as possible. If it is a ship that at least has a memory, then I will get them to level 100. If none of the above, then i will get them to level 70 eventually with regular commissions (which takes a REALLY long time) I also agree with you in that 12-4 is the best place to level up ships to 120 since it offers the best amount of exp without being too difficult like chapter 13 (unless you are leveling a meta ship with really good AA) overall great video to share to friends who want to level up their ships. If only i knew who was the voice behind this video. It sounds like Azur Lane Meta, but his introduction was not present
I run the 10hr oil comms 24/7, best place to get gold 8-4, 1:1 if I'm grinding a Vanguard / PR ship requirement or 7-2 on 1:2 (cassin + downes) on auto clear on my 2nd phone, just have to press continue every 5-6mins with the auto clear update put them on dorm for that extra 20% exp boost
Classes only give more exp if they're not a full class. They suffer from reduced exp the more ships you put in at a time, just like the dorm. Also depends on how much happiness you have, Dorm > Classes. But that's more of an end game/veteran thing who has like 400+ happiness. Just gotta keep an eye on that exp per hour under each ship in each slot.
I'm new and I'm really lost on this game. There is too much info to take note HAHAHAH. At least this answers the problem of the leveling ship that I have.
Welcome. Ya, a lot have content has been added over the years so it can feel overwhelming for new players. I have a few video guides and there's always my Discord server if you have more specific questions about the game.
I've got a lot of ships past level 100 but I'm still at world five, still have a long way to go, my lazy ass don't want to play the main story line, thanks for this guide
hey ALM, i can't recall whether you touch on farming xp for vanguard ships. do you run a 1:2 fleet, with one of the vanguards as overleveled? or is there somehow a more oil efficient way to level 1 vanguard? or do you forgo the 8-4 method and just slap in dorm until usable in 12-4?
Personally I don't level for oil efficiency, rather time efficiency. So I will gladly 3:3 at 8-4 if I have 6 ships I want to bulk level. However, yes a 1:2 fleet would be most oil efficient at 8:4 with the 2 non-target ships being over leveled. You can also do really well on a lower level with a 1:1 fleet where you can craft an MVP for the ship you are leveling.
@@AzurLaneMeta gotcha! since you grind for time efficiency, i was wondering around how many days it takes you to get those ships to 110 in 8-4 with 3:3?
Dorm + 18k exp commission is super good. It got my Strasser up to lv 90 in just a few days without me even noticing. At this point they should be very usable to grind on the late chapters. I don't know, I'm not quite there yet.
I forgot to mention another way to gain XP! If you aren't serious about PvP (heh, love saying this on a PvP channel xD) Toss the ships you're grinding to 120 into your PvP Attack fleet! 15 fights a day, no oil cost, and average 1k Xp per fight depending on the defense fleets you fight, and if you win or lose (1/2 XP for losing).
Yup seems about nearly the saem how I do stuff. Put them in the passive exp stuff, then when strong enough 8-4. Tough I usually send them to 12-2 to 12-4 at 100ish depending if they have good partners if thry are weaker ships. And I'm more fan of 1/2 fleet for 8-4 and 1/3 or 3/1 for w12. But that's just me, I hate seeing big oil numbers lmao. I try to keep em below 50 if I can 😂. Anyway good guide. Now back to grinding the new Dragon ships, I adore their designs so I'm just gonna level them while going through the next world if they can handle it. One question though. What do think of clearing out all the mobs in let's say 8-4 and just retreat and then repeat? Though this must be done manually by clicking as clearing mode doesn't have an option for that.
If you're doing 8-4 to increase the boss/mob fleet ratio then there's no point in retreating. Might as well do a different maps with more mobs if you plan on retreating so you can max out the exp per 10 Oil entry cost.
I'm surprised there was no mention of those new books from Operation Siren (I forgot their name) That doubles oil consumption, but doubles xp/drops. If time is a big constraint for folks, I think using those would be helpful unless I am missing something about those. Now if only they will find a better way for us to get subs to level 120...
The problem is, they eat up morale like crazy. And you need that morale as high as possible for those 20% exp boost. It use double the amount of morale per sorties, so if you manage to do 9 fight per shorties, it only took 1 run for that exp boost to ran out (2 per fight, 150 max, 120+ for exp boost, 9 fights is 18 per run and with the items is 36). So yea, unless you only do 1 run per 30 mins (the same amount of time for dorm to regen morale) using that item is highly inefficient as you lost that sweet morale bonus, but yea, not everyone can do extended grind, so if you know what you are doing, use that to your heart's content
@@raizors1331 grinding at lvl 110 upward is a very time consuming already and takes a lot of morale due to sheer amount of fight. I'd say its much better to forget about the bonus from morale to begin with when in 110 to 120 grind
Nice guide! I'm a rather casual player so I use the dorm until they hit lv100 but from there it's a matter of unconscious levelling for me lol (12-4, OpS, events and gold comms). I'm wondering about the 12-4 strat tho. You mentioned 3:3 I think, would that mean you go all out on oil using a full fleet?
Yep. I tend to have enough oil to just 3:3 without too much regard for oil efficiency. Now if you are playing 8 hours a day this would be quite different, but so many their little daily grind allows for 3:3 to get the most exp/time.
@@willv2746 Not that I know of. It's just that when you complete World 13 the natural tendency is to aim for Bunker Hill which is only accessible thru 13-4. And she's stubborn as hell so a lot of players get stuck in the Bunker Hell for months. Like me.
How do you keep up your cog chip stock? At this point for me, chips are the most limiting factor for level grinding. I have a nice work-at-home job doing tech support, which has allowed me to keep AL running for 8-10hrs daily for the last year or so, and my chip income is far outpaced by the amount needed to just uncap my ships whenever they ding due to my mindless 12-4 spam. My chip stock is UP to 2450 atm, but I need roughly 10x that for those currently sitting at 115/110/105 (or 114/109/104 that got benched due to having no chips for them to LB if I kept grinding w/ them.)
If you want to go faster, yes. I typically try to save them more for ship drops I want (since they can be an untold amount of time sink), but using them for leveling is perfectly valid.
Depends on if I have the time later to wait and how fast I was to grind. But typically I stop for the day when I get below. It's almost like a timer to leave the game for the day (and avoid time out). But like when I was grinding Aquila she was speed rushed so I didn't care.
I just put them into a commision and dormitory that was fast I think (if you are lazy like me). But I think this method can make it to level up in no time.
Any thoughts about using them in the pvp exercises? They gain XP from that too, although it does increase the risk of losing. Come to think of it, does your defensive fleet get any XP when someone fights it?
No XP for Defense fleet. Offense Fleet is a great way for XP grind. Losing only gives you 50% but still for no Oil is great. I'm using grind to top rank or making a video so personally I rarely do it, but it is a great option for newer players to use and I mentioned that in the pinned comment.
Seems you didn't mention lectures drain morale. So you don't really want to combine class and play for a ship. You don't just get 18k XP, you get 18k XP per ship, so x6.
Oil efficiency shouldn't really be of a concern, not for veterans at least. You get so much oil, you swim it, literally. And then there are the mails you should save for dire times. Oil really is the least of a problem in Azur Lane. Why the 10 hour commission has a bad rep, I really don't know. It's one of my main incomes for coins. Doing it twice a day nets you a whopping 10k coin and 36k exp for all ships. Plus items like cubes (5 to 8) or other, valuable resources. As said, oil isn't a problem, really. So I just spam that commission. For newer players I wouldn't recommend it though. The reward isn't as good.
Ya oil efficiency is important for those that are trying to grind +100k event points. But overall commanders with maxed out oil rigs shouldnt see too much issue from light grinding.
So basically the best way to get a ship to level 70 is to not use them? Jsut put them in the dorm, make them my secretary and shove them in a 10 hour commission every 10 hours?
This is what I like to do because it is passive exp and affinity gain. Once they get to 90 affinity and lvl 70 I can start the grind at higher level maps with out too much effort. Of course if you are speed rushing you can start at low level maps and work your way up. However I haven't found that to be worth my time in most scenarios (despite being more oil efficient).
SPD doesn't scale with level. Unless they have a retrofit to boost SPD, the speed stays the same across level. Most DDs are in the mid-40s while Le Malin is 54.
@@AzurLaneMeta Sorry let me clarify, Not level per character level. i meant is there much different between DD's who were at that "level of speed" ala, if you did this with any other the fast DD's do they have a similar reaction or is there a noticeable difference with Le Malin vs everyone else.
@@jolunrohthocoudis526 O you were on a leveling video not the speed video so I was confused. Most DDs with all the enhancements will be pretty speedy. Le Malin is probably 10-20% faster than the average DD, but there are plenty of other DDs around her speed range that will yield similar results.
I'm so sorry! I have no idea why i responded here, Maybe youtube jumped the video without my knowing. my apologies. Thank you for getting back to me though, I appreciate it.

Hmmm, this sure is useful. But my playstyle is more on waifu > meta. So it'll be difficult for me to shift to this efficient lvl 120 leveling grind. I do have tons of ships I want to lvl up like persues, shinano, and sandy
I think the most important fact is time... This game already 3 aniversal , I join in just half year after it launch so until now i already few 120 lvl ready

i just slapped 6 of my *THICC* waifu ships in my dorm and while they are at the dorm i use them in my sorties and in about a month they reached lvl 120
About morale I've been test the morale by using them about 10 minutes with 2x oil and set auto search and for escort fleet their morale dropped easily than flagship fleet if you do that..
@@AzurLaneMeta I see, and for the answer is YES, if you set AUTO SEARCH in any map you want to grind either normal or event EXCEPT hard mode cause just 3x on daily. You use 2 fleet then set one for mob/ escort & one for boss, only escort fleet morale drops faster than boss fleet. Same case if you put one fleet only to grind some parts for a few minutes non stop. I'm already test it and it takes about 10 minutes I guess for morale to drop, I knew that since I want to grind Zara weapon 3 days before the event end & suddenly I got notice that Bismarck and Tirpitz affinity drop when I check again it seems low of morale, then I tried to test other fleet and my guess is right..
Also I didn't mention EXP boosting ships. The following ships have skills that boost your experience gain. Use them (and level the skills if you have spare books) when relevant.
Yuubari - 15% CL/CA/CB
Langley - 15% CV/CVL
Houshou - 15% CV/CVL
Amazon - 18% DD
Nurnberg - 10% SS/SSV
EDIT: Also you can gain a lot of experience from playing PvP.
Any tip to get gems even after finish the main game map?

Glad I could help!
Same, plus I've always hated 0 limit break ships tactic...
Don't forget you can get gold books and cubes from it if you get the lucky drop. I believe it's a great tool.
Hopefully someday they short it to 8 hours, at 1.4k oil or something. Good for non-hardcore grinder like me.
Good job!

Ya you definitely want at least 1 full 120 fleet (6 ships) for Siren Strongholds.
You've earned my subscribe.
I've been playing for about 1.5 years, yet this is still a topic I struggle with, since I have limited 120 ships. I'll try out this method with some of my lower level ships to see how it goes.
Cheers!
Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
It took me to level Cheshire from level 1 to 120. 1/18/2021 ~ 4/18/2021 I never sortied her, just dorms and commissions.
I levelled Monarch solely through Dorms and the 10-hour commissions. It took me 86 days but I'd mismanaged or entirely missed several days worth of time so it'd be shorter like 75-80 days
For passive exp, I think that's pretty okay considering that I can also get three other ships to 120(I have only 4 slots in dorms) + other ships to about 100+ in less than 3 months ding just a few clicks.
Honestly under 3 months, not that bad lol.
You right. My b.
this is pretty much how i level my ships too( minus the put in training/lecture 2 times a week from dorm...cuz lazy and i'm sure to forget about it)
you mentioned at the end, there are a few tricks that can speed it up. it would be interesting if you either, made a video about them, or make it a little segment in a future video, like general tips and tricks. donno for sure, your channel :P
I mean if you aren't doing the boss node then why not just do a map with more clears to reveal the boss. Saves on that 10 oil entrance fee.
Yes group leveling saves time played. But sometimes we do gotta get that one meta ship up asap.
A note that could be useful:
With your 3:3 fleet setup for grinding, try to make sure your flagship gets the mvp, it gets more xp total for your fleet.
(tldr at bottom)
Also not a bad idea to use akashi for 12-4 but of course youre giving up a slot for grinding to a healer.
This is not worth imo because you need to actually pay attention to the game.
tldr
its a good idea to put akashi in for 12-4 so your mob has enough ammo, but if your mob fleet can handle the 6th battle at 0 ammo, do it w/o akashi and grind an actually important ship.
Yes if you are leveling a Main Fleet ship, getting the double bonus of Flagship+MVP is a super timer saver.
Lucky you. In the JP server our ships are capped at 70 80 and 90 depending on the limit bresk
EN and JP are the same in that regard. It's CN that is lucky and can get to 100 without LB.

I personally prefer 11-3 and 11-4 for the 100+ grind. There are three reasons for that :
It really depends what you are grinding. Sometimes the suicide boats can be worse than the planes.

I always do the 10-hour commissions, twice per day. Sure, if I could play all day like some people, I might avoid it. But I have to work, so extra passive xp helps a lot. So if you can play all day, sure, avoid it. But if you cannot play all day (like most people), just do them. Good xp.
Yep passive exp =/ active exp imo
Nice video. I didn't realize putting a ship as your main Secretary would help with XP gain
@@AzurLaneMeta Makes sense and every little bit of XP helps lol
I'm really liking AES too. IF ONLY I COULD USE IT FOR W13!!!
yeah, 4 mobs before BOSS, but you forgot to tell that by the time the boss appears, it is surrounded by a ton of mobs thay you HAVE to fight. If you Auto-Search, youre going to have to fight more mobs than usual.
It's possible depending on the spawn, but other maps have this issue too.
Nice way to spend time waking up in the morning 👌

Ya OS is a grind within itself.
Yeah, I switch between oil and time efficiency depending on how fast I need them.
This is normal.
yeah the 10 hour commision is good, i only do it at night though before i sleep, i do the faster commisions at day
This is good if you are active throughout the day. It can result in so many extra resources if you can do 1/2 hr commissions all day.
I usually hate grinding so commisions and stuff are gods
Haha there is only so much a person can do.

Yes both dorm and classroom give more benefits to a single ship when you put less total ships in together.

hey ALM, i can't recall whether you touch on farming xp for vanguard ships. do you run a 1:2 fleet, with one of the vanguards as overleveled? or is there somehow a more oil efficient way to level 1 vanguard? or do you forgo the 8-4 method and just slap in dorm until usable in 12-4?
Yep that's basically the strat. Don't bother with the low levels and grind the more meaty exp later levels.
Haha ya a lot of free exp from oil. Check pinned.

@@AzurLaneMeta I will thankyou
So, basically do the hardest level you can comfortably clear, with the specific ship in the dorm? I hope I can just get my KMS ships to 120
Yep that's a good tl;dr version of this.
I'm surprised there was no mention of those new books from Operation Siren (I forgot their name) That doubles oil consumption, but doubles xp/drops. If time is a big constraint for folks, I think using those would be helpful unless I am missing something about those.

@@xiakouxu Mind you I did end up forgetting to mention it in my 2nd take recording this. So during editing I added that in lol.

If you want to go faster, yes. I typically try to save them more for ship drops I want (since they can be an untold amount of time sink), but using them for leveling is perfectly valid.
I thought you could have just use ex items and spam it till your run out or you max them. Ig it doest work like that
Do you continue grinding if you don't have the xp boost from high moral? Feel like the high eff plan drains moral more than double
Speed and laziness don't typically go together.
oil efficiency is best.
lose sleep gain levels.
that's how u do it.
Ah but who needs commander level anyway? I can still rank in PvP, EX, and Challenge Modes without having a high commander rank.
i didnt mean commander levels
Any thoughts about using them in the pvp exercises? They gain XP from that too, although it does increase the risk of losing.
Come to think of it, does your defensive fleet get any XP when someone fights it?
No XP for Defense fleet. Offense Fleet is a great way for XP grind. Losing only gives you 50% but still for no Oil is great. I'm using grind to top rank or making a video so personally I rarely do it, but it is a great option for newer players to use and I mentioned that in the pinned comment.
Ah, I missed the pinned comment. Thanks a bunch.
Seems you didn't mention lectures drain morale. So you don't really want to combine class and play for a ship.
You don't just get 18k XP, you get 18k XP per ship, so x6.
12:17 I mean once I start grinding them is usually close to or above LV100 so not really an issue.
Have you tried this with other really fast DD's like tash and Shima and maybe Javelin and see if there is much of a difference at that level?
Can you get xp for pr ships if you send those ships from the faction on commisions or put them in dorms?
No
@@lisaruhm6681 ok thx
I got a question how to level up the stars on the characters?
Limit break them. You can use duplicate ships or bulins.
Me with 132 ships at 120 watching this: interesting...
So uh ya, did you learn anything? lol
Actually yeah
I thought the classroom xp was a lot worse so I could probably actually bother using it
Could get some free xp for ships I'm planning to level someday
How do you get like the boarders around the ships? Do they show up automatically at level 120 or do you have to oath those ships?
The border shows when they A) PR ships or B) oathed.
@@AzurLaneMeta what are PR ships?
@@AK-ht2ki Priority Rare. Basically the paper ships you can make from Research.
@@AzurLaneMeta have you made a video explaining all this by any chance? Or are there any videos you'd recommend, im still kind of new
Does Langley and Houshou skill stack? Also, is Langley only for USS ships and Houshou just for IJN ships?
Yes they stack. One of the few skills that are an exception to the no stacking rule. Langley&Houshou are NOT faction locked.
Thanks for the clarification and will use this method for my shipfus.
totally forgot bout the classroom lol. thanks for the reminder
Any time!
@@AzurLaneMeta Just adding some info, Buy all the furniture set if you can, happiness level give you more exp gain in dorm, mine is currently at 468, it gives 82% more exp. and only buy the food that gives %bonus exp.
Would it be better to level a bunch of ships together normally or separate them to take advantage of the exp ships?
Depends if you care more about saving time spent grinding or oil spent grinding.
@@AzurLaneMeta Time preferably
@@rockingalan Then do them together. You lose exp/oil efficiency that way, but save a hell of a lot of time.
I like oil efficiency for grinding map drops. For example 3-4 and 8-4. If I want exp I don’t care for oil.
I like to do both at the same time tbh.
How do you get the high efficiency combat logistics plan into your fleet so you can get double the rewards
Operation Siren exploration rewards and the OPS Supply Shop after that (also they send a ton in mail)
You must being in clearing mode. Then before you enter the map you can click to add an item to the run. You get the plans from OS stars and reset currency.
Auto clear make the grind and leveling up more easy
Thankfully. These kids these days don't know how good they got it ;p
@@AzurLaneMeta Oh I know. I stopped playing AL for awhile since I was so burnt out from the grind. Now I've come back bout 3 months ago and so much has changed. And most of it for the better!
*_[REDACTED]_*
I usually *_[REDACTED]_* and do all of the commission when i *_[REACTED]_*
though I don't know if this is stuff that will get you banned
@@JustANormal-YTchannel Ya while you can macro, Yostar will warning you with a potential ban if they catch you.
@@AzurLaneMeta ah so it is a thing that could get you banned...
Me having 44 ship on lvl 120(40 loli 4 thots). Lvling all of the ships i have... yes all of them. I throw my lowest lvl on the classroom.
Put the ships i know im gonna use soon on 10 hours commission.
Put the ships im currently using on dorm.
Yep good, stuff. 44 120s, nice.
Hmmm, this sure is useful. But my playstyle is more on waifu > meta. So it'll be difficult for me to shift to this efficient lvl 120 leveling grind. I do have tons of ships I want to lvl up like persues, shinano, and sandy
I mean this method can be used easily for non-meta ships too.
When you grind but forget to unlock level >
Well if it's exp from battles (not passive) the exp store. Unless it is for no MLB ships, then you're SOL.
I think the most important fact is time... This game already 3 aniversal , I join in just half year after it launch so until now i already few 120 lvl ready
Getting your first few LV120s are the hardest.
@@AzurLaneMeta maybe ,but mostly if got regularly grind ,either event or normal chapter for those ship ... i think mostly 6 ,120lvl in half year not issue some real hardcore i think even less than that.
How the hell do you pick the girls you want to put in your lecture hall? I have one level 100 girl, long Island and im upgrading the lecture hall to a level six as I write this if any of that is helpful to you.
Lecture Hall has been updated to now just give you exp packs that you can use on anyone (no longer have to pick the girls that go in it).
i just slapped 6 of my *THICC* waifu ships in my dorm and while they are at the dorm i use them in my sorties and in about a month they reached lvl 120
Pretty much the tl;dr version. Play the game use the dorm.
hey what emulator you are using? your mouse movements were smooth. thanks.
Funny you should ask: ua-cam.com/video/cJ5CLaBGnqU/v-deo.html
classroom only lv up ur ship till lv 100
can't put lv100+ on classroom
am i wrong?
Correct. Only to level 100. Don't think I explicitly said that in the video, but I only do it up to LV100 obviously.
Does farming OpSi contribute to the PR exp requirement?
Yes
About morale I've been test the morale by using them about 10 minutes with 2x oil and set auto search and for escort fleet their morale dropped easily than flagship fleet if you do that..
Are you trying to say that morale drops faster if you use the yellow exp books?
@@AzurLaneMetayellow exp book you mean that make 2x oil am I right?
@@aniqyuji722 Yes the 2x oil item.
@@AzurLaneMeta you can still use that book BUT not use the same fleet often unless you change your fleet formation
