When I’m on the hunt, nothing can stop me. All joking aside, I was relentless in finding a brand new one at a fair price and it was worth it. Thanks for watching, my friend!
I just got a Smiths Everest and it's the perfect watch in my book. It's understated yet confident. Thin and modestly sized yet has a strong presence. Elegant and classy yet bold and adventurous. Solid movement. Great quality and finishing. And the Smiths name has history and a story to tell. Absolutely love the watch.
Great review. I've been looking for the smiths Everest for quite a while now. The new bracelet and updated logo seels the deal - now i just have to wait for timefactors to restock
Happy you enjoyed the video! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by the channel. Hope you enjoy it even more than I do, once you’ve got it in hand.
So true. I have had a few people let me know and I appreciate that detail so much because Rolex really pulled a fast one on me there haha. Mainly because This only adds to the validity of Smiths as a brand and I’m glad Timefactors
The 9015 and variants are not related to the 2892 other than both being highbeat. Both are my favorite affordable movements. Now own the gilt Everest, the Commando and the Expedition (all 3 are 36mm) as well as the 40mm Everest and PRS-29B. Really like these homages to various military watches at relatively reasonable prices.
Excellent video of an excellent watch. I have the new Lorier Falcon II with much the same dimensions and also is an excellent watch that I feel punches well above its price as the Smith's Everest. Thanks again, Brian.
Wow that Falcon II is amazing. I completely agree with you. Let’s be honest it’s totally easy to make many of the same positive remarks here about that timepiece. Perhaps we should do a head-to-head? Thanks for watching, Sherry! Always happy to have you here.
Great review Knife Watch. I'm sold on it!! No date with that clean dial is perfect. I can't justify getting just yet as I've just got into watches and have a similar Seiko 5, also they're currently out of stock, but it's now on the top of my list. Being made in Britain also makes it unique and not a copy of something more expensive. Love it.
I believe this is a 9039 miyota being used. The 9015 was used in the MK I 36mm. With a ghost date. Was that just a mistake on your part or does yours house a 9015 with ghost date and extra stem position?
I know this is off topic but Why do you wear a ring on your thumb? I have seen it before but have never had the chance to ask what the meaning is. And please don't tell what my niece told me about the stud in her nose( it completes me) she couldn't even explain what THAT meant. Thanks ahead of time for educating an old man.
I am afraid I don’t agree of those comments as an owner of this watch 3 times. Miyota is unstable caliber Clasp might be opened while you wear. Minute hand manager moves forward 2-3 days later Crown might be screwed hardly. So there are so many QC problems
Got the discontinued 40 mm coming my way. Hope i can fit mine better than you have yours tough :D My wrist hurts just watching that bracelet cutting in so deep in your flesh!
Smiths just in name assembled in Asia with the loud Miyota movement. Bracelet hard to remove. Much better options with better movements out there - Armida A6, San Martin………..
Homage ? Please explain the term , I’m not familiar with the term and how your using it ? It’s not something I use in everyday conversation! All I see is the name Smiths, sheer is Everest? Camera doesn’t show it !
I want to like it, but this Smith brand isn't the original Smith brand. They bought the rights to the name and it's company is basically making homages aka ripoffs. I wish Smith was started back up by original company and/or Made in England.
Smiths watches are nothing more than a watch made 100% in china with chinese generic parts. This is what you are buying if you go ahead. Why a Rolex homage? because the chinese have been making rolex copies for decades - there is plenty of factories producing them and it is easy and cheaper to assemble a watch using cases and bracelets that are a plain copy of a rolex. What are you getting extra from Smiths that justify the extra payment in opposition to the Rolex copies/hommages available at Aliexpress/ebay/alibaba for less than 100usd? Very little, but in summary the next: - Packaging: Smiths delivers the watch in an extremely cheap packaging - u can appreciate this in the video - Quality of the case and bracelet: the same as the ones sold at Aliexpress for less than 100usd. - Watch glass: Smiths offers sapphire but the ones from Aliexpress too - no improvement here. - Movement: Smiths offers a Miyota 9015 movement (btw a good movement), the ones at Aliexpress tend to offer the next options Miyota 8215, Seiko NH36, seagull ST16 or a generic chinese 2813 (The last one being the worst option - but is also fitted into the very cheapest watches, at around 50usd). - Dial and hands: Smiths comes with a simple printed dial - this is the cheapest way to produce a dial - and very generic rolex hands. Some of the other chinese copies come with dials with applied markers - this is more expensive yet those watches are sold for far less than Smiths. - Customer service: Chinese sellers are not known for providing a good customer service, but here is the key, Aliexpress intercedes between you and the seller and if you have a complain or receive a damage/defective product... you are likely to receive a full or partial refund. In the case of Smiths watches.... you just need to check out this video and will understand the type of person behind Smiths and what he delivers as a "customer service". ua-cam.com/video/UfN4TLjsXPg/v-deo.html&lc=Ugw3F88zhYe8PNzz2Oh4AaABAg.9I09Cu91HeE9I3ejLKxCVy The last topic is brand heritage: Once a brand becomes abandoned by the owners - and this was the case of Smiths watches... Anybody can register and own the name by registering it again to himself --- this is the case of Smiths and many other brands (Ball watches, etc...). Timefactors has been importing batches of chinese watches and re-selling them to european customers since 1996... At some point the guy owning Timefactors realized he could re-register abandoned historical brands and he has done it several times... check Timefactors offerings, he not only offers Smiths but also other less known historical brands he has registered again---- the difference between the different brands he sells? only the brand logo he is requesting the chinese manufacturer to print on the dial. ----------- MAKE up your mind if you consider this kind of "heritage" deserves any additional value or payment.
Damn dude, how did you land that watch? I have been trying to get one.
When I’m on the hunt, nothing can stop me. All joking aside, I was relentless in finding a brand new one at a fair price and it was worth it. Thanks for watching, my friend!
I have that one inbound... will be home when I get back from my trip! Can’t wait! Great review!
Congratulations! Really hope you enjoy it! Let me know how it goes and safe travels.
Great video, thanks. Really like the way you showed the watch close up, helps to get a sense of the quality.

I love it as well. I hope you enjoy it in good health !
nice review. you have a great voice by the way! I'm tending towards more moderate size watches lately. very comfortable.
Love watches at 36mm. They’re awesome. Thanks for watching!
Great video! And awesome radio voice!
Great review. I've been looking for the smiths Everest for quite a while now. The new bracelet and updated logo seels the deal - now i just have to wait for timefactors to restock
Wishing you the best of luck in procuring one! Thank you so much for watching
This is just what I have been searching for. 36mm is perfect.
It really is! Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by the channel!
Great review Ryan! You sold me on this watch; I will purchase it (eventually).
Happy you enjoyed the video! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by the channel. Hope you enjoy it even more than I do, once you’ve got it in hand.
Such a simple beautiful design. Great review 👍
Great review Ryan!
Thank you so much, Hugo! Happy to have you here.
I just landed one today. Excited to receive it! I have a white dial Rolex OP39 and a 7.5 inch wrist. What size is your wrist? Thanks!
Nice Review! Just to rectify: the Rolex Explorer had never been on the Everest but was made after the expedition.
So true. I have had a few people let me know and I appreciate that detail so much because Rolex really pulled a fast one on me there haha. Mainly because This only adds to the validity of Smiths as a brand and I’m glad Timefactors

Good looking and well made for the price.
Agreed on both points! Thank you for watching, Leya!
I should have bought one in September but I had other objective in mind. Now I don't know when it will be available again ...
I wish you the best of luck in procuring one. They come back in stock every now and then!

@@KnifeWatch I think that would be a great review of 2 great watches.

Where can I buy it?

It’s not that deep. I switch jewelry when I’m in the mood. Much like changing watches.
I am afraid I don’t agree of those comments as an owner of this watch 3 times.
Miyota is unstable caliber

Minute hand manager moves forward 2-3 days later
Crown might be screwed hardly.
So there are so many QC problems
this is really nice but hard to get hold of now...I had a 114270 and regret selling that but have a Black Bay 36 now
That’s an upgrade
🤘
🦾
Nice watch, man. You lucked out. This is watch that his very hard to get.
You sold me on it. I'll take it. Pay pal info please? 😉
