I just picked this up at legend dealer and have driven it ONE LAP at LeMan. I was immediately looking for a tune. For 700pp i was on RH, max aero rear 100 front 60 ballast fully front and 87 power restriction. It's wonderfully fast inna straight line but couldnt believe how bad the brakes are and how much the front end wants to understeer. Ohhh and it sucks down the fuel like nothing else. Cant believe you managed to make it work at 800pp
@Doughtinator 😆😆😆 I use a controller too... some of your counter steering would be impossible without the wheel. But I've just paid 18m for it- I'll give it one shot at 800
Hi Chris, Like I mentioned before...The Group 2 Lexus is the easiest money grind here at Sardegna. A No Stop strategy with RH tyres, set fuel map to 6 and short shift at 50 - 60% to start with then if you find you have too much fuel left you can rev the car out more towards the end. Easy money with no build needed!
VR is pretty awesome tbh, don't want to race any other way now. I finally got enough credits at a moment this car is available, but I was in a terrible dilemma cos the McLaren F1 94 is also there for 20 Mil. The 917 is most definitely a collector's piece, wasn't really expecting it to be a money maker but your Le Mans build actually works well. If you're gonna try to get your money back from this purchase, easier to do it in a different car, for sure.
Haven't driven this car in ages... I remember I could win in it. I've been trying some funny cars like the swapped FD RX-7 with 989 bhp, faster than Gr.3 cars!
I use 1st on le'mans 😂 I has ecu and power at 92, fuel map was at 6 and no matter the gearing I still got same lap times 🤔 31 minutes on that track, I had 1 rear anti roll, 10 front, compression expansion full. didn't have any issues with rear kicking out. oh and 3 races on le'mans and you need change oil as bhp starts to drop
Don’t get the 917k, it’s too powerful for 700pp yet not powerful enough to compete in 800pp races. Far too expensive for the no of races it can compete in, shame because it looks great.

I just got it. If it wasn’t for VR I would pass. But getting into this legend (at least to my eyes and brain) is insane.

Yeah it’s fun to try random cars on different events to keep it fresh.

Yeah. It’s a bit of a middle ground. But a legendary car all the same.
I got sub 4 min but on fuel map 1.
And ir won't make 2 laps so......
